Some of you are so so annoyingly myopic in your reasoning and worst still you are too docile.
Tinubu has always said he doesn't like Arise o come patriot. And because he is president he decides to change it. Is national anthem a personal desire of an individual? An issue as that is always put under public hearing where Nigerians and stakeholders while have a forum to discuss and agree on, it is never a individual thing. But most of you supporters of Tinubu are so blind to your evil that you have never seen anything wrong with him even when he has ruined the economy to make hunger want to kill you people . Anything Tinubu does or say is correct for you people.
Brainless zombies.
You are absolutely correct!
reading some comments here will make one believe that some people seem not to think at all before writing, what the guy you quoted wrote is so nauseating, how could that come from an adult?

Why not asked to be allowed in, further educate them on the need to start singing the new one, even teach the kids directly there on the assembly.
Is that not a better way to achieve your end goal?

I don't usually reply people but I will take an exception.
Sir what I mean is very simple,I'm not implying Dangote will release Usd into the Economy, but his petrol will free up the money used in importing Petrol into Nigeria every month.
Every month sir,NNPCL imports 1 billion litres of Petrol every month at a rate of 35 million litres Evey day.
This petrol is paid for using proceeds from oil receipts derived from expoert of crude oil, thus depriving Nigeria of close to 200 million Dollars every month.
Sir I hope you understand now why I said once Dangote releases his petrol into Nigeria, the country will save millions of Dollars which should have been used for import of petrol.
Thanks sir and God bless you
God bless Nigeria
AGO (diesel) and ATK were being imported too and at least we all know he has started diesel production as well as the avaition kerosine and lifting has commenced from his refinery, of what effect is that on the dollar/naira rate so far?

We wait to see the effect of that of Petrol when he starts.

You're on point bro.
Even amongst us here, you tend to understand someone of other tribe who speaks your language with your intonation better than the one who speaks your language without your intonation

You do understand the change was initiated by a legislative bill and the president had not input other than to sign it. It could have withheld his signature and pushed back but what would be his gain in doing that.
So you believe there wouldn't have been discussions/agreements before discussions/agreements for a bill to gain such swift presentation and passage at both houses and thereafter the President's appoval.

Those old tools we call politicians never consulted Nigerians about changing the anthem, no regards what so ever for the citizens of the country, sharply they changed the anthem within two weeks, for what ever reasi s best known to them

Reason they changed national anthem is because this foolish presido cant recite our national anthem...the only time he went to school was primary school and they were still singing the old one ...that's the only one that fool knows how to sing ... he then forced it on us so he doesn't get called out for not singing our normal national anthem ... selfish bastard ...after he gets kicked out in 2027, we will revert to our normal anthem
I don't know about the previous reasons you wrote o, but I feel the bold may happen 'if' an opposition wins.

He will be eventually caught and the money recovered significantly if this is true.

I doubt if he could have singlehandedly pulled this wink
but the report says he's been into it for almost 2 years, furthermore considering the huge number of accounts involved will it be easy to recover a significant amount from the diverted funds?

That's the challenge my brother, ordinary councillors too are multi-millionaires with aides....LG autonomy or not, corruption is everywhere, so why create opportunity for more thieves

I feel it should not be an elective post, let governors appoint administrators. At the beginning of each year give them targets to achieve.

You just wanted to mock Nigerians abroad because you are stuck with the hellhole government you have been supporting.

Are millions of Nigerians not suffering from the rapid currency depreciation your government has overseen? Depreciation has helped fuel inflation as the country is import-dependent.

I wanted to say same to him before I saw your comment.
He wrote an epistle with no direction as if the depreciation of the currency is not affecting hundreds of millions of Nigerians living in Nigeria.

He goes out to farm for news about some Nigerians having challenges while closing his eyes to the several millions living in abject poverty and sufferness in Nigeria.

I am not his supporter as long as majority of Nigerians are suffering.

Education / Re: Ajayi Crowther Hostel Porter Suspended Over Death Of University Student by Inspirer1: 7:30am On May 27
immortalcrown:
Medicine after death.

But it is better than taking no action. The suspension cannot revive the deceased but can at least serve as a deterrence to others.

But let us put sentiment away and be logical in analysing the situation. I know that there are laxities in many offices. But in a case like this, the deceased might have resisted crying out because of shame. And if that is the case, there was no way the porter could have noticed what was going on. But if the student cried out in a loud voice and no one from afar heard him and came for his rescue, the porter clearly lagged behind on his duty.
my take is that is there no other 'innocent' student in that lodge who's aware of the punishment that could have called on the Authority to come and salvage the situation?
