Probably there's a reason for the media coverage but let's not forget the main purpose...

The period of worship is a vulnerable moment, not everyone would like to see a camera in front of their face, it makes people self conscious and this defeats the whole purpose of surrender and intimacy whilst worshipping God.

On a lighter note, some of us who do not look fine whilst worshipping deeply, please!!! Church and media team keep the camera away from our faces. cry

Most jobseekers aren't good enough for the job, no employer is frustrating them, this way of thinking is what makes applicant find ways to justify their incompetence ,instead of looking for ways to upskill and do better at interviews they find ways to throw the blame at the employers, just to feel good about themselves. Most of them will respond positively to this post as a way to confirm their bias and feel good about themselves.

- 'to steal their ideas'
means I'm writing about job applicants who are intelligent.
Later one wld discover that the ideas or solutions that was shared by an applicant is being used or implemented by the company. That is intellectual theft and being done to job seekers makes it more debasing.

Jobs/Vacancies / New Trend Alert!! Companies Now Taking Advantage Of Job Applicants!! by integridad: 7:51pm On Jun 16, 2023
Dear Applicants,

Do you know that there is a new trend with companies especially these small scale "One man businesses"

Companies schedule interviews with people they have no intention hiring, They take advantage of frustrated job seekers, ask them questions usually around business development to steal their ideas.

Job seekers who went through pain or spent a lot, some even borrowed to arrive at the interview venue.

This is very wrong, NLC should look into this exploitation

Most Nigerian jobs posted on LinkedIn are fake, companies do this to create publicity and a faux appearance of growth,

Applicants beware!!

If you ever attend an interview like this, please visit this post and tag the company.

Since my job is very demanding, I couldn't start a business by myself. Instead I look for a cool headed babe, dated her for like a year then I encourage her to start a business. I put some money that I won't regret too much if I lose into the business and I have being watching her.

So far she has done well and the business is booming gradually, the next step is to marry her, register the business do some paper works and then use a year worth of my earnings to scale the business.

I hope to retire early and manage the business together with my wife.

"being too NICE to people". Do you know that NICE means a stupid and a foolish person?

There's is a difference between being Nice, polite, courteous or kind.

Most Nigerians confuse this and start portraying a bad attitude because they don't want to be considered as Nice, everybody should be courteous and polite.

Nor be every adult get sense, I also see "adults" everyday on social media flaunting big bumbum. I can't get married to an old cargo because she's a wife material. I don't joke with a woman's looks, I wanna come home from work everyday and smile by just staring at my princess..... Everybody will definitely get old someday, but I must enjoy her beauty while it lasts.

Family / Re: Men Are Afraid Of Successful Women. by integridad: 6:27pm On May 09, 2023
Persephone1:
Men aren't afraid of successful women perse most men can't relate with successful women because they come with lots of compromise men can't afford. The traditional man wants a woman who will always be available, who won't question his opinions and decisions ( right or wrong) a woman who will cook, do house chores, be a "yes sir" etc. A successful woman may not be able to meet up with all these.

For most Nigerian men money is their bargaining chip in a relationship, there ability to provide a woman's need give them surge of control, relevance and power. Dealing with a woman who can take care of herself can be very difficult for a man who is yet to realize that his existence is more than ability to provide.

Successful women demands more, for the everyday woman, her wants in a man may be limited to "being taken care of" but for a successful woman she will demand more varying from accountability to loyalty to having a say in decisions, sharing responsibilities etc. Her demands are higher and sometimes impossible to meet for average men.

Of course, some successful women can be proud, unruly and difficult to relate with but trust me, all these stem from "see finish" i.e what can the man offer but truth is when they finally meet the right one, they submit.

. So true!!

Romance / Re: Even in marriage, she's still pain. by integridad: 8:46pm On May 05, 2023
Bedotfarms:
There is this my Ex we dated for more than six years before she finally ended it immediately after orientation (service year). The dating started during extension days in our final year, secondary school.

We literally went to the same secondary school and University.

So many things happened during our course of being together:

We had many differences mainly and only on men. I was a big time simp then, was insecure with temperament issues in the relationship.

The complexity of the insecurity became clearer when she confessed that she dated someone while we were apart.

I lived in the South-West while she stayed in the Northern part of the country.

While together, she aborted three times for me. I was 69% true to the relationship, I loved her so much then and I really wanted to settle down with her. My family knew her and vice versa, including friends.

Like I stated, she ended the relationship and I accepted it in good fate, even though I wept.

What will I even have done since she initiated it. it was more like I shock to me.

After more than a decade, I was surprised to hear from my sister's hubby all the bad things that happened between us, that she aborted three times for me, that I beat her in camp, etc. That I went ahead to toast her friend (this is true but like she was 6 years in marriage).

I've tried arranging for meeting with her and husband but it never worked, for us to discuss and that I may apologize sincerely to her, since she still took it to heart.

All she kept saying she had moved on and sebi I have moved on too?

Please, what can I do in this situation?
My wish is for us to meet, and discuss intensively together.

Hello, forget all these talk about alpha male and simps and all, this is reality, find a way to really apologize and appease that woman for you own good and future. The bible talks about making 'restitution', contemporarily you hear people talk about 'closure' it's very necessary, you both aborted 3kids together.

Lets even leave culture, values, morals, societal expectations and all.

Wearing leg chain to that interview shows that she didn't do here research on the company to have an idea of the company's culture.
Which means:

- She may not represent the company well at events, cos every business person know that you do research on a prospective client before meeting.

If you have a meeting with an Asian, Muslim, or christians of certain denomination, etc , as a business person you dress conservatively...

This is just to mention a few.

Worst part is that in the midst of this suffering and crisis, some still come online to defend these leaders and politicians!

Guy, abeg... No wonder my friends and family make it a point of duty to avoid community of Nigerians abroad!

There is something really unnaturally wrong with the average Nigerian's brain! I swear!!!

Nigerians mostly have a Stockholm syndrome, even amongst individuals, when you're nice to them they feel you are Fake or something, but when you are mean, rude and all, they tag you being real, you'd even here something like, "forget he/she is a nice person inside"

Some jobs are for young people. In some skilled jobs, advance in age is an advantage. Would you rather have a 28-yrs old doctor or a 55-yrs old doctor? The young doctor may be intelligent but age limitation will cast doubt on his experience.

/
Also, in HR, School matron, Lecturing and all, your big age may be a bonus.

Even if the banks decide to train more tech guys, that will still not solve the problem. The major cause of the problem is poor pay and poor work environment. The trained staff will be demotivated even before his contract with you ends and he will leave once it ends.

Most of them will walk out of the contract once they have a foreign job and their visa is ready. Guys done wise oh.

"Poor working environment" most Nigerian organizations need to improve as workers are now more exposed, a place people spend about 10 hours, for 5-6 days a week, should be very comfortable both in amenities and work culture.
Companies should invest in making an environment very comfortable, like what exists abroad, enough time for break and recess, air, space... Etc or resort to remote working if they can't afford these, We are now wiser.
