They say you will not know the value of what you have until you loose it.
I remember those days, Nigeria use to be a very peaceful place. Farmers go to farm in peace and return the same, children playing safely on the street when they return from school, travellers preferring night journeys for the fun it gives... etc

But we were not content, we complained and wished for mansions in the moon. We never knew that hell is like a bottomless pit, that no matter how bad your condition is, there is always one more foolish decision you can make to make it worse, and worse and worse and it never ends.

We fell for lies, and here we are, one more step closer to the center of hell then we were just some few years back. But have learnt anything? I doubt.

I usually don't believe in conspiracy theory, but I am gradually believing the theory that northern political elites intentionally keep majority of northerners poor and uneducated just for their political gains.
The only reason why Tinubu and Shetimma and APC will pull this nonsense Muslim-Muslim ticket trick in the very first place is because they are confident on the ignorant and poverty of many northerners and how that will yield alot of political gains for them.

Since I came home due to this stupid ASUU strike, it has been from one drama to the other.

The latest is currently happening in my compound. Two women are currently not in good terms, keeping malice and all. They neither talk to one another nor greet each other. But I observed that they will be using songs (some gospel songs) to indirectly communicate to one another.
One of the woman is from a particular tribe in this country notorious for quarrel and fighting (she had fought with almost everybody in the compound), while the other woman is a warri woman.

The issue now is that, since am mostly at home and witnessing all these things in the compound, everybody is putting me at the centre of all this sh*t. For instance, the landlord came over to me yesterday saying stuff like, "we only know how a quarrel start but don't know how it will end". Therefore, he said I had to ensure that things don't escalate when am at home. Can you imagine? These two women have their husbands o. It's me the idiot is talking to.

See, there are so many things happening in this compound right now, I can't say it all. Am tired

The is important because it is not all that glitters that is gold. For instance, there is no way I can tell simply by viewing beautiful pictures of food if the salt is too much or not.

A physical competition is thereby required in order to separate that wheats from the chaff (or the goats from the sheep if you wish)

Am a university student and currently at home due to the ongoing ASUU strike, and had been unable to secure a job. (Many employers are uninterested in part-time workers).

My babe's birthday is coming up next month and she had been pressuring me to sponsor her birthday. I told her earlier this month when she brought the issue up that am currently broke and cant sponsor her birthday; but I promised to give her a special treatment when school resumes as a way making up.

To my greatest surprise, she brought thesame issue up again yesterday like we've not discussed it before. Though I became very angry, but I spoke to her calmly, reminding her our previous agreement and how she is currently making me feel 'impotent' by giving me a cross she knows I can't carry.

Only for her to get angry and said HER LOVE LANGUAGE IS DEMANDING MONEY. And if she doesn't get it, she doesn't feel loved. I've been seriously down since yesterday.
