WebmastersNeed Help With My Blogsite, Will Gladly Pay. by internetpo(op): 6:41pm On Feb 08, 2013
Hi!

I have a wordpress blog site and have been facing challenges on it since i changed servers and moved to a new one. It doesn't align well in 2 or 3 column themes. Even when I revert to the old theme it still gives me problems. I have tried all sorts of recommendations from experts.

- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

Yet nothing seems to work. Each time I log into myPHP admin I get to see all my old plugins which I transferred from the old server but I cant find it when I go to my WP dashboard. I just left it on the default theme till I can resolve it. Will be glad if anyone can help me resolve this issue. won't mind coughing out cash.
WebmastersRe: A Ban On 10-49K Website Design by internetpo(m): 1:05pm On Jan 05, 2013
I agree that this is a free market but i am in support of having a union. We really need a union to sanitize the industry. It's mostly the newbies that charge ridiculously and they have no idea abt what it takes.

Even if u use CMS doesn't mean u shd charge 10k. What abt d internet connection, time spent "copying and pasting" and afta sales support. 10k for a whole 365days job? How many sites do you have to do to be able to pay your own personal bills not to talk of other business and overhead costs.
I have personally walked away from some jobs because of this. When do we start this association. What can i do to help. Let's start and make 2013 better.

ProgrammingMy Site Was Hacked By One Of Those Pakistani Cyber Army Guys. What Do I Do? by internetpo(op):
Hi!

My site was hacked by one of those middle eastern cyber groups, the pakistani cyber army to be precise. This is sort of the 3rd time they are doing this.

I think the hack came from a php/sql injection. I have tried and cleaned by files the last two times they attacked and i am surprised the attack is coming again AND THEY SEEM TO get into my WHM and change all my clients site/details. embarassed

I have a WHMCS installation there.

Could it be that they are entering through my WHMCS?
Will getting an SSL certificate stop these attacks?
Where and where do I look into my files to locate and clean the injection?

Please your help will be appreciated.
WebmastersWhat To Look For In A Good Nigerian Web Host by internetpo(op): 11:46am On Jun 27, 2011
There are so many hosting companies, right? But I am sure you are looking for one that will allow you to pay in naira, especially in Nigeria along with providing lots of space for your HTML, image, PHP, ASP and other files (typically, you get anywhere from 50 to 500MB of space), Web hosting companies offer a variety of related services, including some or all the following:

E-mail addresses: You’re likely to be able to get several e-mail addresses for your own or your family members’ personal use or your  business. Besides that, many web hosts give you special e-mail addresses called auto-responders. These
are e-mail addresses, such as info@yourcompany.com, that you can set up to automatically return an e-mail message or a file to anyone looking for information.

Domain names:
Virtually all the hosting companies around or anyone worth its salt give customers the option of obtaining a short domain name, such as www.mycompany.com. But some Web hosts simplify the process
by providing domain-name registration in on a one price-it-for-all full year. There are several domain names and each has its different price ranges. A dot com ending happens to be the cheapest, while the rest range from between N1,200 to N15,000. But mind you a domain name that’s relatively too cheap does not quality as high quality.

Webpage Building software: Some hosting services include Web page authoring/editing software, such as Microsoft FrontPage, which you can use to create your own website, i.e. if you are graphically gifted. Some Web hosting services even offer Web page forms that you can fill out online in order to create your own online shopping catalog or website. All you have to provide is a scanned image of the item you want to sell, along with a price and a description. You submit the information to the Web host, who then adds the item to an online catalog that’s part of your site. I am yet to find out any Nigerian webhost to offer this but you can check out reliablehostNg.com as they have plans for this in the pipeline

Multimedia/CGI scripts: One big thing that sets Web hosting services apart from other hosts is the ability to serve complex and memory intensive content, such as RealAudio sound files or RealVideo video clips. In lay man terms they let your upload or install audios or video on your site. Wont a video about you showing how to use your product on your website be good? Also these companies let you process Web page forms that you include on your site by executing computer programs called CGI scripts. These programs receive the data that someone sends you (such as a customer service request or an order form) and present the data in readable form, such as a text file,
e-mail message, or an entry in a database.

Shopping cart software: If part of your reason for going online is to sell specific items, look for a Web host that can streamline the process for you. Most organizations provide you with Web page forms or rather websites that you can fill out to create sale items and offer them  in an online shopping cart, for example. Check out www.goodbooksforless.com, an e-commerce site.

There are a few other criteria like 99% uptime guarantee, meaning that their servers must be up all the time, enough bandwidth and disc space, you don’t want to run out of this and start begging your web designer for help and more. In the next article I will explain a little bit about these and more and probably direct you to  a few services that will help. Meanwhile look out for the above in any good webhosting service, especially in Nigeria, you want to order from. This will guarantee their reliability. Don’t just look out for features, but rather look out for benefits too.  After all features wont help you make the money you intend earning online.

Also see reliablehostNg.com for more help.

WebmastersRe: Has Anybody Make Money From Success Digest Information by internetpo(m): 10:54am On Jul 21, 2010
Wrong guys! wrong!

I have been reading success digest for over 5 years and can say I have learnt and even made money from the life changing information they give. I have been with Success digest long when it was in magazine form before it now turned to a newspaper form that it presently is,

I must say that while some of the adverts are true (being an advertiser myself) some of them are not true and outrightly scam. But the publishers are doing a great job through their know your customer/money back guarantee policies they are implementing. Heck! its even killing us the genuine advertisers as the procedures are tooooo strict.

All in all, success digest mag is a life changer, This my dear was an objective summary, no bias or pun intended. Infact I was like you some years ago the first time when I saw success digest and I regretted why I did not believe and buy a copy, This was before I now saw it 3 years later and went for it and since then, 5 years and still counting, it has been , smiley
