HealthRe: 5 Abuja Hospitals You Should Know About by inwangobio(m): 12:43pm On Sep 26, 2013
chioma134: As a staff of National Hospital, and having previously worked in private hospitals, I know the whole deal. Private hospitals focus on maximizing profit, so they buy substandard drugs, employ inexperienced doctors. They can't afford to employ consultants, so they negotiate with them to do part time. So the patients get to see incompetent doctors most times, and treatment is trial and error. I know because I worked there. But the customer service is superb, so patients feel satisfied. Also, when they receive bad cases, they keep them in a bid to milk them dry of their money. When they realize the patients will die or realize they have mismanaged the patient, they refer to National Hospital because they don't want mortality in their hospitals. So the public erroneously believe National Hospital is the problem.
National Hospital's main problem is the fact that the patient load is much, so the staff are overworked. Patient and relatives fail to realize that fact, so they shout on staff unnecessarily. Overworked staff reply angrily and this is seen as rudeness. However, because of the shortage of staff, mistakes and negligence are bound to happen occasionally with patient at the the receiving end. But if you need to access specialists care, teaching hospitals including National Hospital are the best.
You are quite correct, nothing gives me confidence than seeing a team of about 15 doctors coming for ward round with about 4 Chief consultants amongst them. They may have their short -comings though but the place is not as bad as people may want us to believe. For your information am currently using the place so I know what am talking about, the charges are exorbitant but they know what they are doing.

Hmmm, one can only imagine what a silly mistake in diagnosis can cause. That is why we need to be praying for our physicians. May God help us all.

Double Blessing, congrats my sister. The baby will grow in stature and in wisdom, and in favour with God and men. As God Has used her to open your womb, many more of her brothers and sisters are coming after her in Jesus name..... Amen.

udoka2: @venus,

lolll we are same...l stalk this thread everyday for the goodnews of the birth of the triplets too. Thank you Jesus for their successful birth in advance!
@Venuss, Udoka2, Favored gal and the rest of my people here, please just relax for you will soon hear the goodnews. Trust me you will be the first to hear. God is really faithful, after 10years of marriage; 3 naturally conceived miscarriages; 5 IVF cycles; mockery from friends and some family members; stretched misunderstandings in the home; God still stood by us to give us this miracle, He is really faithful. I sincerely don't know how that day will be and I don't even want to preempt anything yet.
I pray the God that stood by us during these past 10years, encouraged and provided for us all this while will do even much more for all my people here in Jesus Mighty name.......Amen. Thanks so much for all your prayers.
@Blendy, I hop R&B are doing very well, its like you are more deep into the other thread 'cost of IVF' than this one. Please come back oooo, we need you so much here, thanks for all the good work you have been doing here.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 4:40pm On Sep 17, 2013
@Venuss, Amen to ur prayers, but we are not stressing her in any way, she is very much ok. But you will agree with me that the longer they stay in there the better, however we are targeting between 34-36weeks. please don't salivate too much b/c they will arrive at God's own time which will be the best for them, please relax my sister. Thanks for your concern.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 8:54am On Sep 17, 2013
AwesomeGod: @Honeypie, are you a prophetess? God decided to bless me with a singleton as my strength go fit carry. I saw my tiny baby when I went for scan and it was a glorious site.
Congrats my sister, God knows the best for you, you will carry this pregnancy to full term, God is faithful to do it.
@Blendy, she and the Generals are doing very well, but pushing it is not easyooo. Infact, this period has made me appreciate mothers some more, I now understand what you people go through in bringing forth children, she complains of virtually everything. But the joy in the whole thing is that her vitals are very much ok, we still intend pushing a little further by God's grace, not against the doctor's advice though. Thanks so much for your concern and prayers.
@All, I hope the Lord is still faithful in fixing things up for us, there is this testimony am still expecting from one of my sisters here, I hope she will come and share it soonest, else I may be tempted to spill the beans, she knows herself. Am trusting God to visit more of our sisters before the end of this month. Love you all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 9:21am On Sep 10, 2013
@Pokom, I really thank God for you, congratulations and I wish you a stress-free gestation period, this God is so wonderful, it is like that is the new trend (failed IVF and natural BFP). I am waiting for my other sister to come and share her own too then others will follow suit, but please let us not relent in our efforts, if u can go for IVF please do and trust God to do it anyhow He deems fit. God bless you real good.

HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 9:05am On Sep 05, 2013
@wonderlen, the Lord will do it for you, He is a faithful God, if He could do it for us He can still do it for not just you but the rest of my sisters in the house.
@Blendy and Nogen, thanks a lot. we really thank God for keeping us thus far, it has not been easy I must confess, last year was very trying, we almost broke up when she started listening to some people ( since I wasn't mounting any pressure on her she thought I had another family somewhere and started suspecting me unnecessarily, hmmm TTC can be funny) but God kept us by the power of His might. I thank God that today we are both happy for what God Has done. I believe God to keep all our marriages and give us the reason to be happy in Jesus name.... Amen.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 1:25pm On Sep 04, 2013
Trust me you people will be the first to know about it, we want to see how we can push it to between 34-36weeks( though not against Dr's advice), since we don't have serious issues. We want to continue pushing to as far as we can go, the vitals are very ok. Thanks for all your prayers and concern. I really wish to see you people doing well and having this kind of experience, it is a different world entirely, at every stage I keep snapping my wife and it gives me joy that God cud do this for a man like man. He is faithful to do it for you all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 12:02pm On Sep 04, 2013
@All, may the Lord who favored us so much in the month of August repeat it this month in a much more dimension. Please my people, now that there is ' a stirring of the water' by the Almighty Himself, if you had stopped trying any procedure you better resume in full force. Honeybony, Oviasouth, Nogen, Safe06, Venuss, Abibby, Slushia, Charisjaden and the rest of my sister, I implore you to do it one more time. You may never know what God has for you, you cant give up, you cant give in. you must testify in Jesus name. We are awaiting your testimonies even this month because with our God nothing is impossible.

My wife and the babies are doing very well, still on bed rest though, God is really fighting for us, we clocked 10years in marriage on the 30th of last month, am happy that in our next anniversary we will be celebrating with our children surrounding us. I can remember when we were thanking God in our anniversary last year in church we tactically didn't mention the number of year because we didn't want people to continue to count the years of childlessness for us. It was my pastor that mentioned it when he wanted to pray for us, but today that shame is no more.
The Lord who has wiped away our shame and reproach is still able to do it for the rest of my people here. God bless you all.

Pikinmama, Blendy and pm05337 where una dey now? abeg this thread shouldn't be left like that. Blendy I hope the boys are doing good, My regards to them and continue your good work in this thread abeg. Thanks.

Congrats my sister, we cant thank this God enough, I can see He is not done yet with us, many more testimonies are coming, the part that strikes me most in your post is 'I became sold out to Jesus'. Am happy that we know that TTC is more spiritual than physical, that is the point my beloved sister - pikinmama has been emphasizing. Congrats once again and I wish you a happy and healthy nine months.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 9:03am On Aug 29, 2013
@All, reflecting on my post of 30th of last month at about 10:36am, which I said 'that I have a feeling that there will be many BFPs in the month of August'. I want to sincerely thank God for changing stories for so many this month, am delighted to know that even people who had failed ART procedure conceived naturally, and some still got it through ART. I know the same God that answered many of our people with startling testimonies this month will do it again for us in the months of September- December IJN..... Amen. Please sisters position ourselves for this move of God in this season, it is our 'SEASON OF JOY', no man can stop us.
My wife is doing very well, still on bed rest though, the vitals are very much okay, God is very faithful. Love you all my people.
@ivfdady, congratulations and I wish your wife a happy and stress-free gestation period.

What a mighty God we serve! So the trend now is: BFN in IVF,IUI n ICSI, then BFP naturally, isn't that wonderful? which means Akintr1, pet.b and the rest of my sisters don't have any need to worry. Gimnaeto am so happy for you, I know God will keep this miracle to fruition.
@All, my wife is doing very good, the vitals are ok but she is still on bed rest though, thanks for all the prayers.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 1:32pm On Aug 15, 2013
@Lify, it is well with you, some of us have gone through this road before and trust me, I know how you feel. Just be encouraged and pray and ask God for the next step, He is interested in helping you out, so don't give up.
@Koreye, it is well, yea Fertil Aid Clinic does TESE also, you can call Dr. Shaibu with this number 08035959550, I wish you all the best.
@All, my wife and the triplet are doing fine, she is very much ok and the vitals are very ok too, she is still on bed rest though. Dr Rais was with her yesterday. We are drawing closer to welcoming those great people, am so excited.
Safe06, Nogen, Oviasouth, Abibby, Venuss, CharisJaden, Smiler, Gimnaeto and the rest of my people here I hope say una don prepare finish for the dedication. My friend Blendy I guess the boys may not allow you to come and I quite understand. Thanks all for all the prayers and wishes, our God will also give all of us the reason to rejoice this month.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 8:07am On Aug 14, 2013
Jesus, What a wonder you are! Psalms 126:1-3 readily came to my mind while reading this testimony:

It seems like a dream, too good to be true
When God returned Zion's exiles
We laughed, we sang,
We couldn't believe our good fortune.
We were the talk of the nations-
'God was wonderful to them'
God was wonderful to us;
We are one happy people. (The Message translation)

I really thank God for this wonderful testimony, this is what we have been praying for and I know many more testimonies are still coming before the end of the month. Congrats my dear and I trust God to keep you strong and healthy through out the gestation period and beyond.
To my other sisters, this should serve as an encouragement to you, God is working things out, at His own time nothing can stop it. Love u all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 9:36pm On Aug 11, 2013
She is doing very well, i left there not quite long, i was there when one Nurse came to check their heartbeat. I thank God for everything but i feel so lonely, it is a sacrifice worth making though. I hope the boys are doing good, my regards to them. Trusting God to favor us this month with BFPs, we are praying seriously for this miracle to go round my sisters IJN Amen.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 10:24pm On Aug 07, 2013
Thanks my sisters n my one n only brother pm05337. I can assure u all that our God is in total control, she actually needed this rest b/c it was difficult combining it with her work. Just like Apos Peter wrote, 'I know whom I believeth and I am persuaded that He is able to keep that which is commited unto Him against that day'. Am even with her right now, going to spend the night here since moro is holiday. Venuss, the time of God's favor is now, yea the set time is now. It is well. Bless u.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 10:55am On Aug 07, 2013
Thanks all for the prayers, seriously I don't lose sleep over it because I know God Has already done it for us.
@Safe06 where have u been? U don abandon this thread abi? Am not happy with youoooo. I know God is working things out for you and the rest of my sisters.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 4:13pm On Aug 06, 2013
Redeemersave, congrats and I thank God for His faithfulness, He is worthy of our praise.
@All, my wife went for antenatal on Thursday but was asked to stay back, I quickly had to go over there and they said she must be on bed rest. She has been there since then, it is likely she is going to be there till delivery. We covet your prayers as always, but she is very much strong and ok. Her vitals are very much ok, everything is under control.
I wish all my sisters in God's waiting room BFPs. Love you all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 9:49am On Jul 31, 2013
lify: @iwangobio and blendy77, thanks for ur words of encouragements. I was called by the hospital management not quit long ago to come for the embryo transfer tomorrow evening, pls I need ur prayers.

@iwangobio, which hospital did urs?
We used FertilAid Clinic. I wish you all the best in your ET and 2WW, God is able to fix it up for you, just be positive and trust God to do it. Please try and rest very well, am awaiting your BFP news in 2weeks time. God bless you.

@Pet.b, that is quite interesting and cheap, and to think that NISA has a collabo with Garki Hospital is very reassuring. So all my sisters have an alternative place to go now, but did you enquire of the success rate?
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 12:12pm On Jul 30, 2013
@pet.b, am happy to hear that DH has consented to IVF. Hmmmm, you have crossed the first hurdle and I believe God that He will perfect everything concerning you. Yea NISA is a very nice place, Dr. Shaibu was with them before establishing FertilAid but am really surprise at the cost i.e 750k because even as at 2007 that we went there it was 700k excluding investigation or is it because of Garki hospital? Dr. Ibrahim Wada is a very nice man, am sure you will be treated well, regards to your husband and BFP in advance.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 10:26am On Jul 30, 2013
@Lify, it is well with you, the Lord will perfect it for you, just relax and trust God to do it. 21 eggs is a great number and much more than what you will eventually need (though it depends on how many fertilized embies you will get from it and the grades). Some hospitals as a matter of policy don't transfer more than 2 embies, so at the end of the day you will still have surplus and except you will consider the option of their being frozen, they will be discarded. On the whole, stay calm and trust God to do it for you. We had 6 eggs; 4 got fertilized; 3 embies transferred (against my doctor's wish though) and by God's grace we are expecting our set of triplets soon. Our 1st cycle that we eventually lost at week 10, we had 16 eggs retrieved. God is faithful to answer you and the rest of my sisters.

@All, am really trusting God to do us good in the month of August, I have a very strong feeling that there will be many BFPs next month. I want you all to position yourselves for the move of the Almighty God next month, nothing can stop it, it is our month of REST from all our labor and struggles, yea you must have spent a lot, yea people must have mocked you, yea you must have counted years gone by, yea you have wept and wept, but He is going to bring an end to all these things, I will hear your testimonies, God bless you all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 8:36pm On Jul 25, 2013
@Blendy, am so happy that those guys are growing so fast. Hmmmm, i know their birthday wil be great, but ' i take reason their native names die' (i de form waffi lol). Ours i don arrange proper calabar names with 'Abasi' inside all. Greet them for us, thank for being there for us.
@nene76, u are welcome, we are only instruments in God's hand, thanks for you prayers. God bless you.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 11:22am On Jul 25, 2013
pm, the devil has failed and will continue to fail because our joy can't be cut short. You will recover all what you have lost, it is well with you and the entire family. As for us, we are doing very well, God is so faithful.

Nogen: I sent you a mail yesterday Bros
Yea, I got it and I replied this morning, please check your mail, thanks.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 10:31am On Jul 24, 2013
@iyabeji, thanks so much for your prayers, our God will also meet you at the point of your need. As for the clinic stuff, I sincerely don't know many places except Nisa premier, Diff, Fertilaid and the first hospital we used which I cant recommend to you. Nisa and Diff charge about double what is charged in FertilAid. Maybe you can try National Hospital though I don't know their success rate, Dr Rais works there but still has his own hospital, you can make your findings but this your weekend stuff maybe difficult but can still be arranged. Our 1st ET in FertilAid was done on a Sunday, they still do some skeletal services on weekends but on an appointment. Wish you all the best.
@Sub zidi, congrats on your new job and on your deliverance, it is a sign of great things to come, I thank God for what He has started in your life, He will perfect everything for you, God bless you.
@Safe06, pls where you dey now? if this thread dull again na you I go blame because you de scatter ground for the TTC thread but here you go dey form 'holy holy',lol. Please we also need that sense of humour hereoo cos nothing do us.
@pm05337, we have not heard from you, hope madam and the baby are doing fine. please let us know what is going on.
@All, please know that God is working things out for all of us, HE is faithful to answer us when we call. love you all.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by inwangobio(m): 8:25pm On Jul 23, 2013
It is well my sister, God is faithful to keep us, actually we cant go beyond wk 36. Dr Shaibu told us to look at wk 32, Dr Rais will tell us what to do, however, we will be flexible. thanks.
