Greetings. Honestly, I have no idea where to begin this writing so before I proceed, I'd like for you guys to pardon me in advance if you find my style a bit off key. Was having lunch with a coleague and upon refreshing the politics board, which is about the only place I visit on the forum, I saw this thread about a body that goes by the acronym OEAS calling for a "snap referendum" for the people of Biafra. I was somewhat taken aback because of a couple of reasons: 1. The newspaper that ran the story, pmnewsnigeria.com, is a fairly credible news media and as such represents a break from the tradition where we often get such tales from sources like thebreakingtimes, savingracereporters, igberetv, thetrentonline, and the rest of such purely propaganda sites. 2. Wired as it seems, a lot of folks celebrated the news as though their desire to have a separate country carved out of the current Nigeria has ALREADY been realized. Make no mistakes, we all appreciate and understand the rights of every single ethnic group, or a combination of groups that make up a country, to self determination- that much is captured in the UN Charter of Peoples and Human Rights, a charter to which Nigeria is signatory. We also understand the roles such bodies as the UN, AU, and other such union of countries, play in event such as that under reference. We know the contributions they've made to World Peace and the promotion and protection of the course of humanity. This amorphous group, the Organization of Emerging African States (OEAS) does not and would NEVER stand for such courses. A quick walk through their site and you would understand why this poster holds this opinion. Who/What is OEAS? www.oeas.info/ A check on their site above gives one a clue as to who and what they represent: Welcome.First off, the admitted to be a "NEW" IGO, and from this, one would ask- of what importance is the opinion of some "very recently" established body to the course of this nature which could potentially determine the future of a country over a Hundred Years old?? Secondly, how difficult is it to type "NGO"?? To a discerning mind, these guys could simply pass for a group of layabouts in a hurry to gain recognition and couldn't care less about details. If one were to take it as a simple typo above which no one is, what would one say is the reason why that typo has been there running for over 4 hours?? Next, we see: OEAS member states are united by one shared principle -- they all seek self determination and believe self determination to be inevitableFrom this, one could clearly see these guys represent nothing but chaos and war- two scenarios that benefit no one but military contractors and rogue governments. Most African countries had colonial masters who drew their boundaries- some of them are thriving while others aren't doing so well- but make no mistake, "colonial era boundaries" can hardly be said to be responsible for the backwardness of any of those countries. Now, for those thriving, this body is tacitly calling for people to revolt against their governments because, according to them, the boundaries of their enclaves were drawn by colonial masters, and therefore, must be shattered. They hardly care about the implications of such action- chief amongst which is the loss of lives. In addition, they refer to member states and one would ask- "States" as recognized by whom A run through their so called member states and you'd understand the Body is nothing but a conglomerate of Rebel and Terrorist Groups most of which have taken up arms against their host governments/nations. The tone of their language leaves one in no doubt what they stand for. Now, this same group of Rebels, to which Biafra is a member, made a call for a referendum and stated conditions by which the Nigerian Government MUST abide in their fabled referendum and some folks are getting overly exited! Their press release, to those who see through their feeble propaganda, isn't worth more than the paper on which it was written. What happened isn't different than ISIS calling for a referendum for "Biafra". So, to all those getting overly giddy about that news, sorry to throw a wet blanket over you, but identifying with that group would bring you no closer to realizing your dream for secession. Eventually, we might have a referendum, but it would be based on our own terms as a country, and moderated by the UN and not some rag tag inconsequential group of rebels. Imagine the audacity of them telling the Nigerian government what to do. You want to know how best to go about it, consult with South Sudan, I'm all too positive they'd be exited to share their experience. I pretty much expect all the insults that would come my way over this. God Bless Nigeria. |
If a broke dude said this, no one would find it funny or "cool", as a matter of fact, they'd find it annoying. But given it's coming from a rich guy and a celeb, it is just too funny. ![]() |
Saraki attracts more attention in the picture than the two men in front of him! See as him dey look Akpabio like "thunder fire this man!" Hope this dude doesn't do an Abubakar Audu on us any time soon oo. |

Tukur would soon demand to travel abroad for medical check up, or develop some form of severe illness. ![]() |
TonyeBarcanista:You'd simply wear yourself out responding to these guys' ignorant twaddle. Move on. |
BankManager:You must be a zillion times as jobless as he is for commenting on a thread created by him. |
drss:the Zoo is doing very fine. Now, can you stop giving yourself sleepless nights over the zoo affairs and concentrate your energy on Biafran issues Aren't you a wee bit foolish being obsessive about zoo affairs![]() |
Daplux4:Oh please, go to hell. |
Even though we all know this is a big lie as it comes without a proof, I'd like to see what someone like Fayose (of all people) would have say about it. |
drss:Redundant alarmist. Did they lie or not ![]() And why don't you focus your idiotic rants on Biafra affairs?? This is strictly a Nigerian affair and nincompops like you should steer clear. |
TonyeBarcanista:All I needed to do was scroll down to the source and I wasn't disappointed. Only useless unknown blogs would run such headlines, which makes me even want to throw my weight behind the Social Media bill. They categorically credited the statement to Buhari, and from the contents of the article, that is obviously false. These guys are simply irritating. |
These guys are baaadasss!!! Dino don price very huge market and him must buy am! ![]() When you place these guys side by side nonentities like trentonline, breakingtimes, savingracereporters, igeretv, and other saTANic and Wailers sites, you'd understand what it means to be a credible media channel. God bless Sowore! |
LadyExcellency:You will wait for that apology until you grow a second ball in your scrotal sac or a third labia down under. ![]() |
Dem wan play some people better Koso on top Ludo very soon! ![]() ![]() Sai Lai!!! ![]() |
Truckpusher:Hmmm. See provocation. I think your statement is even more provocative than the simple remark the other guy made. Anyway, in a heated debate like this, just about anything is fair game, so I wouldn't blame you and your brothers for taking off your gloves every once in a while to throw barbs at anyone who seems to lump up your people in such critical statements. |
Was switching through some tv channels at a friend's and came across this: A Ghanaian "Bishop" Charles Agyinsare using a laptop as his Bible. In our living rooms I imagine we could easily do this, but I've got this feeling it isn't just right doing so on the alter of God. I feel there is something uniquely spiritual about our good ol Bible, and it just can't be substituted. Let the religious gurus we have shed some light on this. Aren't we growing too IT-centric in our religious houses?? How appropriate is it? |
Off topic: The silence so far surrounding the alleged attempt on Ekweremadu's life both from the government and the ever screaming PDP/Metuh gives me very great course to believe the whole thing was a big lie. Had what happened really happened as explained by Ekweremadu et al, they would have milked the incident for all its worth. |
Ijaws and other ND minorities:Cc: TonyeBarcanista, Truckpusher, et al. ![]() |
Speechless. Now we are getting to understand why they did everything possible to ensure Baba NEVER assumes the office of the president. These are things one thought were only possible in the realm of imaginations, but here they are, as real as the nose on one's face. Truckpusher hope you are seeing this. |
TonyeBarcanista:Fair enough. |
TonyeBarcanista:..Barca (2015) |
TonyeBarcanista:A pity what politics of ethnicity can do to once best buddies. I sympathise with you Tonye. |
Rotflmao!!! Now they want to produce a president for the Zoo!! What a bunch of comedians. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

ndcide:Useless piece of dung rolling beetle. Go and bring the damn evidence you raggedy homeless street scrubber. |
ndcide:Oh shut up dude. Where is the proof any of what was said is true?? We are mucking them cos we know the are only crying wolf where there is none. When it was happening to APC then, we saw proof in videos and pictures. Where is the proof APC thugs were escorted by soldiers as alleged?? So one should swallow everything the PDP says about APC even when there is no evidence what was said is true? Go sidon for gutta abeg. |
The family is obviously confused. Did the FG say he collected money "for arms"?? ![]() Dear family, your criminal dad collected monies "meant" for "procurement of arms". I hope you can understand the difference. I bet the adverts he runs at such cost were directed by Steven Spielberg. What a shame. |
