The only mistake I felt the pastor made was accepting to stage that protest,
You're confirming my stand. BTW do you know Remi Tinubu is a pastor at RCCG And a close friend of Pst Adeboye.
Now what you fail to see is that there's no way in this world Remi Tinubu wouldn't have presented certain matters to Pst Adeboye in favor of her husband Tinubu,
Who also happens to be the leader of the main opposition.
Eriokanmi: No, he didn't. Rewind the past. I'm not a member of the RCCG but he didn't apply any sentiment to the protest.
Same pastor adeboye saved goodluck Jonathan from perishing during his term as president. God revealed what would happen to him as planned by the terrorists who was bent on hijacking power, which they have succeeded doing today. There was a notable man's burial that was to take place in bayelsa. He told Jonathan not to go there and report to camp instead and join them in the holy ghost service. I participated in that holy ghost service live on tv.
He now nominated yakowa who travelled on same copter he was supposed to travel on. You know what happened to the copter...it exploded mid-air. The only mistake I felt the pastor made was accepting to stage that protest, due to the political sensitivity in our religion, something the other religion would have done and got away with. You can preach against killings of Christians and not by staging a protest. When CAN approached him to do that, he ought to have asked the CAN body do it instead and it would have been understandable. Tha placards would have carried CAN. I won't say I'd keep quiet on the side of the truth because im one of his followers. Though to err is human. He shouldn't have done that.
May be you're talking about your sister or daughter if you're married.
ExudeLoveToAll: But you will allow your daughter share Virgina for all dick and Harry isn't it? Don't have the right mindset so your daughters don't go chasing men because of Money instead of values. If she need money there are plethora of men who will give just to ensure sex goes on until they get tired or she gets the memo.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has dismissed claims that the church is aligned with any political party, insisting that it remains a place of worship open to all Nigerians regardless of political affiliation.
Speaking during the May monthly Holy Ghost Service tagged “Excellent Counsel, Adeboye said suggestions that RCCG is linked to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are unfounded, noting that members of different political parties freely worship together.
“Some people are saying RCCG is an APC church. I just smile. In RCCG, you will find a governor from the Peoples Democratic Party sitting down with a governor from the Labour Party, APC, and APGA. By the special help of God, we are representative of the whole nation, and that is what we will continue to be,” he said.
The cleric stressed that while politicians are welcome in the church, the altar is not a platform for political expression.
“If you saw one governor among us today dancing and you were expecting he would be called forward to say something, we don’t do that. But if you come to worship with us, you are welcome. Our duty is to pray for everybody,” he added.
On Nigeria’s political future, Adeboye offered a spiritual perspective on the 2027 presidential election, stating that the outcome is already determined by God.
“The one that will rule has been decided by God before we were born. He knows the end from the beginning,” he said, urging Nigerians to remain focused on prayer and their personal responsibilities.
Addressing his past involvement in public protests, Adeboye explained that his actions were in obedience to directives from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
“That was because the then chairman of CAN asked all Christians to go out for a peaceful protest. If he talks tomorrow and asks me to march, I will,” he said, adding that he operates under the authority of CAN on national Christian matters.
He also clarified that he does not see himself as a spiritual father to all Nigerian Christians, describing himself strictly as the leader of RCCG.
“I don’t want to be the father of all Christians in Nigeria. I am certified as being the father of RCCG, and that is enough assignment for me,” he said.
Adeboye further urged members of the church to avoid engaging in criticism or political disputes involving fellow believers, assuring them of his continued support and protection.
I will not allow any outsider to dictate to me how to deal with my own children. Even if you make a mistake, I will not allow an outsider to tell me what to do with my own children. I will defend you against anybody, any blogger or whatever who may say anything against you.
“If anybody is criticising any of us, don’t join them. Don’t allow them to use you for politics

Islamabad, Pakistan – Pakistan has opened six overland transit routes for goods destined for Iran, formalising a road corridor through its territory as thousands of containers remain stranded at Karachi port because of the United States blockade of Iranian ports and ships trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Ministry of Commerce issued the Transit of Goods through Territory of Pakistan Order 2026 on April 25, bringing it into immediate effect. The order allows goods originating from third countries to be transported through Pakistan and delivered to Iran by road.
The announcement coincided with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s visit to Islamabad for talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief Asim Munir, the latest in a series of diplomatic engagements as Pakistan seeks to mediate an end to the two-month war between Washington and Tehran.
Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan described the initiative as “a significant step toward promoting regional trade and enhancing Pakistan’s role as a key trade corridor”.
Iran has not publicly commented on the move, and Al Jazeera’s query to the Iranian embassy in Islamabad went unanswered.
The notification does not extend to Indian-origin goods. A separate Commerce Ministry order issued in May 2025, following the India-Pakistan aerial war that month, bans the transit of goods from India through Pakistan by any mode and remains in force.
Routes and regulations
The six designated routes link Pakistan’s main ports, Karachi, Port Qasim and Gwadar, with two Iranian border crossings, Gabd and Taftan, passing through Balochistan via Turbat, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Quetta and Dalbandin
The shortest route, the Gwadar-Gabd corridor, reduces travel time to the Iranian border to between two and three hours, compared with the 16 to 18 hours it takes from Karachi – Pakistan’s biggest port – to the Iranian border. The Gwadar-Gabd route could cut transport costs by 45 to 55 percent compared with costs from Karachi port, according to officials.
But for Iran, firms sending their goods to the country, and transporters, all routes into Iranian territory today are viable options, with the principal maritime passage they have traditionally used – the Strait of Hormuz – blockaded by the US Navy.
Corridor shaped by conflict
The current US-Iran war began on February 28, when US and Israeli forces launched attacks on Iran.
In the weeks that followed, Iran restricted commercial navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil and gas passes during peacetime, disrupting one of the most critical arteries of global trade.
Pakistan brokered a ceasefire on April 8 and hosted the first round of direct US-Iran talks on April 11, in Islamabad. The negotiations lasted nearly a day but ended without a deal. Two days later, Washington imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports, throttling Tehran’s maritime access.
A second round of talks has since stalled. US President Donald Trump cancelled a planned visit to Islamabad by special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner last weekend.
Iran has ruled out direct negotiations with Washington while the blockade remains in place, though Araghchi told Pakistani officials that Tehran would continue engaging with Islamabad’s mediation efforts “until a result is achieved”.
The transit order appears to be a direct economic response to that impasse.
More than 3,000 containers destined for Iran have been stuck at Karachi port for several days, with vessels unable to collect the cargo. War-risk insurance premiums have surged from about 0.12 percent of a vessel’s value before the conflict to roughly 5 percent, making shipping to the region too expensive for many operators.
Recall that Abiodun was endorsed by the leaders of the party in the Senatorial district during a meeting held recently in Ijebu-Ode, where he was adopted as the consensus candidate of the party.
INEC has failed in its responsibility, for allowing this anormaly to fester in our political space.
Party leaders or elders or stalwart or any name they prefer never ever represent the mind of the people, they are only endorsing so they can be paid.
Moreover it is wrong for a judge to read the verdict before the trial.
INEC should step in and sanitize this wave of fraudulent endorsement and let the peoples vote count. Let the vote count.
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has declared interest to contest for the Ogun East Senatorial seat in the Red Chamber.
He disclosed this on Tuesday night during a meeting of Ogun East Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iperu Remo.
At the meeting were Senator Adegbenga Kaka, Senator Lekan Mustapha, the Senatorial chairman, Otunba Adeleke Adedotun and other notable leaders of the party.
Recall that Abiodun was endorsed by the leaders of the party in the Senatorial district during a meeting held recently in Ijebu-Ode, where he was adopted as the consensus candidate of the party.
The governor’s declaration is coming hours after the incumbent, Senator Gbenga Daniel, picked the nomination and expression of interest forms to seek reelection into the upper legislative house.
Abiodun, while addressing the meeting, promised to give the people of Ogun East quality representation at the Senate.
He said, “When you gave me the mandate of Ogun State, I have never disappointed you. I want to assure you that I will offer Ogun East the best representation ever in the history of the Red Chamber. I want to promise you that I will offer the district the best representation.
"I will not be a back bencher. I will not be a person that will get there to just look. I will offer good representation to the good people of Ogun East, so help me God.
