vedaxcool:
The new threads I started where specifically refuting shia doctrine. Like this thread definitely gave the historical background with regards to the role of shias of Kufa in the death of Imam Hussain r.a, now certain individuals believe unless you accept their own view on issues, as I have shown how "civil" lagoshia is in  debate, to which zhul Fiqah follows closely. What is driving my thread, well say Jihad against falsehood. I am willing to hand in any more clarifications you may require.
So, you feel it is your calling to spend time highlighting what you deem objectionable about Shia belief and practices?

What is the ultimate aim?  To stop them from participating in this section or this site altogether?  To encourage them to abandon their beliefs and come to the Sunni side?

I am sure you know that most people follow the faiths of their parents.  My father is Sunni as was his father before him.  I suspect LagosShia was born of Shia parents.  Everybody answers to their father's name.  Do you really expect him to abandon his faith and spit at his father's house?

Is there any amount of insults, hypocrisy and condemnation from the religious bigots on this site or anywhere else that will make you denounce your faith?

With regards to this Mutah issue that;s got so many worked up, didn't someone post a survey indicating that it is not widely practiced or supported.  Is anyone forced to partake in it?  I doubt either of these Shia men can go and delete Shia belief from wherever it is written.  All they can do is explain it.

Please get control of yourself.  All of you.  I don't even know why you can't fight the good fight instead of attacking each other.

sorry, I forgot that Insulting, Slandering and cursing is seen as halal in shias doctrine, to believe he called frosbel bastard, indirectly slandering his mum, just the entire response shows the pitfalls of shiasm
See your life.  Making excuses for an odious creature such as Frosbel.  Time to re-evaluate your goals, bros.

Yes, I took a liking to you, at first.  Pardon my quirks:  I'm drawn to confident opinionated guys with a tendency to be defiant and combative.  Mea Culpa!  lol.  But, I am reading your exchanges with LagosShia and ZhulFiqar and I am not liking what I see.

So, you can tell me a little more about yourself.  Your posts are kinda hard to understand too.  Hence, the delay in getting caught up on what makes Vedaxcool "Vedaxcool."

In conclusion, I  hope you can handle a little honest evaluation (ok, criticism).  Apologies if it was harsh.  You can tell me what I missed that led to this bloodletting amongst Muslims.  I already admitted I frequent the section less and less, and concede you may feel perfectly justified continuing in this manner.  Thanks for your time.

shadrach77:
your analysis is very wrong. The action of the goalkeeper was initially self defence but it changed from self defence to assault. If you look at the youtube video (which has been posted on this thread),  the first kick of the goalkeeper was justified since that was for self defence, so up till 0.14 his action was justified, but from then onwards (moving towards the supporter and kicking him twice) his action becomes an assault. The attacker was already on the floor and a stadium steward was already nearby, getting ready to pin down the attacker, so kicking him another two times was totally unjustified. The referee was RIGHT in my own opinion  angry cheesy wink smiley
Okay.  No matter what.  I support the referee.  You have to go with your gut when on ground.  Analysis is for after the fact, for armchair analysts like us.

Aside from that:

1) We both agree the first hit was in self-defense.  The surprise and all.
2) I concede the 3rd kick was not necessary.  But it also was not lethal.
3) The middle kick is the issue.  That was the first one landed after the guy was already on ground.  I understand why the keeper would have done that.  If you fell your attacker, how do you know he is still not a danger to you?  You pin him down; you kick him again to make sure he is thoroughly disabled!

I really don't think you and I are that different.

Upon first viewing I reacted just as the referee did.  Which is why I understand what he did.

After settling down, I went into analysis mode.  That's when you have the luxury of judging rationally, not reacting with emotion.  Neither the referee nor the keeper had that luxury.  We do.

So, we're still . . .  cool

Hey!  I watched the video again, and I watched the one on the BBC website.  That one shows the beginning that the first video didn't.

The keeper kicks the invader on the chest - looks very justified, since the invader appears to have one leg raised at the very moment he got close to the keeper and he noticed him.

Keeper has him on ground and aims another kick to his thigh.  This also looks justified to me.  He had to make sure the man had been disabled and not able to get up and injure him.  Totally defensive move as far as I can see.

He then aims another kick. . .  Up to then all his kicks have not been offensive/violent, he could have kicked in a lot worse places than the leg (think about kicks to the face, groin, chest while on on ground, etc).  This third kick also does not look lethal.  I will have to modify my comment that the behaviour merits a violent conduct charge.  It is very debatable.

When the referee gives the red card, does it not look like it is for the player in #17 shirt?  What were the other teammates doing while the security was holding the invader to the ground?  Were they also looking to do more damage?  Also, I don't see where it specifically states that the card was for violent conduct.

Okay, it's fuzzy.

P.S. It definitely look like the situation was getting more volatile. The actions of the Alkmaar team to the referee for example. . .

Alkmaar's furious coach Gert Jan Verbeek ordered his team to leave the pitch.

The red card has now been rescinded by the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) but they have not decided whether to replay the last 16 tie or award it to Ajax.
It would be hard to justify rescinding the red and also replaying the match.  I think the other team would fight that ruling.

FYI, I checked the tables.  Alkmaar are on top in the Dutch League, and Ajax is within just a couple of points from the top.  I wonder what would have happened if either team was in relegation zone.

The question is what to do about the In-law gifts.  That's not really considered the bride price.  Bride price is usually a very low set amount.  The list is extraneous, separate and not really something that is obligatory.  But everyone pays as much of it as they can.

Your Primary school teacher friend will have to negotiate and give them as much as he can.  They'll relent as long as he shows a willingness to meet them halfway.  I've heard that brides' families do this outrageous demands stuff all the time - it's quite common in some parts.

Yes.  It was Violent Conduct.  Straight red for violent conduct.  Even if the "fan" dared to fight the keeper, while he was down he was already subdued, so the kicking was excessive.

P.S.:
This BBC report indicates the red card was rescinded.  That's fine if they can support it.  I still support the referee; he had to react to control the situation on ground.

The Pogues, "Fairytale Of New York"

It was Christmas Eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, won't see another one
And then he sang a song
The Rare Old Mountain Dew
And I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
I've got a feeling
This year's for me and you
So happy Christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

They've got cars
Big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old

When you first took my hand
On a cold Christmas Eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me

You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of New York City
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on the corner
Then danced through the night

The boys of the NYPD choir
Were singing 'Galway Bay'
And the bells were ringing
Out for Christmas day

You're a bum
You're a punk
You're an old slut on junk
Living there almost dead on a drip
In that bed

You scum bag
You maggot
You cheap lousy fa.g.got
Happy Christmas your arse
I pray God
It's our last

I could have been someone
So could anyone
You took my dreams
From me when I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Can't make it all alone
I've built my dreams around you

P.S.: Ain't this a bleep!  NL changes fa.g.got to g.a.y but changes g.a.y to something else.  hahahaha.  hmm, okay.  That's not Christmas language.  Take it up with Pa Ola.  I dare you!  grin

Sister,
once you were actually glad that Vedaxcool (who i personally regard a kafir and nothing less) was annoying me.
hmmm.  No.  I don't think I was glad.  That was the first time I noticed Vedaxcool because I wasn't visiting the Islam section regularly and still don't (for reasons I've stated in other threads).  I'd read you often and we once discussed this Mutah marriage issue in a non-acrimonious manner - at least you and I did.  I knew you were persistent, from reading the posts. But, I never had an issue with you.  My issue with that section has always been with the moderating, and never with any members.

My comments about Vedaxcool from those months ago was a humorous one about my shock that anyone had the tenacity to make LagosShia yield or withdraw from a face-off.  Nothing more nothing less.  I had no idea he made it a practice to challenge or even harass Shias.

There are lots of anti-Muslim posters who are allowed to run wild in the Islam section, and if some battle-hardy debater wants to engage them, more power to him.  I don't see the purpose of wasting that energy waging war on fellow Muslims.

The moment I realised what was what was going on, in this thread, I said something.

Salaam.

P.S.: Now, I do know you have created threads and had passionate debates about Umar, Aisha, Fatima, etc. I don't expect you to concede on those issues since that is a core aspect of your beliefs, hence the break with some other Muslims.  I will need to spend some more time reading Vedaxcool's posts to understand this ongoing battle that he appears to be waging.
