PoliticsRe: Nigerian Lawyer, 33, In USA Found In His Car Trunk With Neck Broken By Car Thief by isalegan2: 9:54pm On Jan 28, 2011
Damn!  Naijas in America are becoming an endangered species.

I wonder if the broken neck was done so he could fit him into the trunk. I once worked with a former cop who told me all kinds of gory stories about his 10-yr stint on the job.  He talked about finding a dead body in a car trunk, but the deceased legs and back had been broken, they concluded, because he was pretty tall and that was the only way the murderer(s) could fit him into the trunk.

Anyway, reading the article, the victim appeared to be very naive about the dangers of conducting business online.  Craigslist, and similar sites, is a cesspool, or more like cesspit.  You got to take care!  It appears the victim also allowed this criminally insane career predator to come to his residence - surveillance spotted them at the building. This is crazy!  This is America, my friends.  You're in the jungle now.

Advertising a $46,000 car will bring out the criminals every time.

Hows it going?

No what you did there was get personal and make a below the belt quip which has no bearing on Michelle's  abilities as first lady.  My criticism of Patience Jonathan has nothing to do with her personal appearance and everything to do with her inability to read basic english.

Can you imagine for one minute what the american press would do to Michelle Obama if she read a speech using ebonics - can you imagine the way the whole of white america would descend on her.

Im actually quite suprised that you actually took such a personal shot at Michelle's appearance - i thought as a black woman you would know better than that, surely thats the domain of bit.chy WASPs?

hmm!! lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
I'm sure you know exactly why I said it.  Tearing apart Mrs. Jonathan is a LOW BLOW. Same as focusing on Michelle's aesthetic flaws.

Nothing to do with WASPy look, since I did not mention her skin color or any negroid features.

Anyone of any race can have WONKY TEETH and a GIANT FOREHEAD.

Do you see how unfair I think this criticism of Mrs. Jonathan is?

P.S.  Also, just as you think Mrs. Jonathan's reading and speaking skills can be repaired, so can Michelle's teeth.  Pray tell, are you gonna ask her why the hell she didn't get braces to repair her teeth all these years since Obama was a senator?  And the American press and public do care a great deal about physical appearance.  Trust me on that!  They say things!!!

I tried to listen but I was too distracted by her WONKY TEETH.  Oh, yeah, and the glare from her GIANT FOREHEAD!!!

You see what I did there?  It's a low blow.  Same as tearing apart some middle-age housewife, who happens to be married to a politician, for not sounding like a. . .  I don't even know wth!

And Michelle ain't all that.  Dig beneath the surface.

Foreign AffairsNelson Mandela Hospitalised Since Wednesday Jan 26 by isalegan2(op): 10:41am On Jan 28, 2011
Mandela, 92, remains hospitalized for third day

JOHANNESBURG – Anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela started his third day in a Johannesburg hospital Friday, but the government said there was no need to panic over the health of the 92-year-old former South African president.

In a statement late Thursday, Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe offered no specifics on why Mandela was taken to the hospital Wednesday, but said he was undergoing specialized tests. Mandela undergoes regular hospital checkups, but his latest visit has stretched into an unusually long stay.

Motlanthe referred to Mandela's history of respiratory problems. Mandela contracted tuberculosis during his 27 years in prison.

"There has been mounting concern about the health of the former President Nelson Mandela," Motlanthe said. "Medically there is no need to panic."

Motlanthe is scheduled to brief reporters on Mandela's health later Friday. He is acting president while President Jacob Zuma attended the World Economic Forum in Switzerland and then headed to a weekend African Union summit in Ethiopia.

His statement was the first substantive word on Mandela's condition since he entered Milpark Hospital Wednesday. Mandela's office released only a brief statement Wednesday, saying the visit was for routine tests and that Mandela was in "no danger and is in good spirits." The relative silence surrounding Mandela's hospitalization had led to speculation about his condition.

Journalists have been camped outside the hospital and outside his Johannesburg home. At the hospital, they have watched Mandela's relatives and friends enter for visits. Zuma was being updated while abroad by the defense minister, whose department is responsible for current and former presidents' health care, Zuma's office said.

The White House said President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama's thoughts are with Mandela.

Mandela was jailed for 27 years for his fight against apartheid. He became South Africa's first black president in 1994 and stepped down after serving one term in 1999. He largely retired from public life in 2004.

The public has seen only glimpses of him recently, such as in November, when his office released photos of a private meeting between Mandela and members of the U.S. and South African soccer teams. The teams had just played a match in his honor.

Mandela also appeared at the closing ceremony of the World Cup in July, waving to the crowd as he was driven in a small golf cart alongside his wife, Graca Machel.
