Can you now see you are very gullible. How can you be jumping on top of the roof because your jobless President is flagging off a road construction. The question that keeps coming to my mind is the way folks from SE have been supporting this crook called Jonathan. Will SS people do the same for a SE President. I am sure they won't if the lessons from the civil war is anything to go by

PoliticsAPC Thugs Responsible For Accord Members’ Death —ladoja by ishiamu(op): 8:58pm On Mar 04, 2015
National leader of the Accord Party and governorship candidate of the party in Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, says thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress are responsible for the death of two Accord members during a meeting of the party members in the Odinjo area of Ibadan on Sunday.
In his reaction, however, the Chairman of the APC in Oyo State, Akin Oke, said that it was unfortunate that the Accord Party hastily concluded that the APC was behind the attack.
During a meeting organised by Accord Party’s House of Representatives candidate, Gbenga Adewusi, in Ibadan on Sunday, thugs allegedly attacked the participants which resulted in the death of one Kehinde Bello and Sarafa Adedeji while 15 others sustained serious injuries.
In an interview with our correspondent in Ibadan on Tuesday, Ladoja lamented the attack on ‘defenceless people,’ calling on the police to interrogate those arrested in connection with the killing.
Ladoja said, “How can you just shoot at defenceless people who were holding a meeting? This is even happening in a state that prides itself as having stable security. Is it selective security? If your party members are shooting people and you are still talking about security, what will you do if your members are killed? The governor should wake up to his responsibilities. We are talking of young men who were cut down in their primes and they have families.
“We are not shifting blame on APC, we are talking of the reality. Those who were arrested were apprehended in the house of APC chairman. What other evidence do you need? In the past, that house would have been burnt. One of them said he was a mercenary hired to kill. He has been arrested and we will like the police to let him mention those who hired him. This will in no way have a setback on our campaign strategy.”
While reacting to the mayhem, the APC chairman said the party felt the pain each time security breach was recorded in the state, while quickly pointing out that organisers of the meeting ‘deliberately refused’ to get police permit for the event. He also alleged that Accord, Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party were planning to attack an APC rally soon.

President Goodluck Jonathan, Wednesday, flagged off the second section of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway stretching from Aba Rail/ Road Bridge crossing to Eleme Junction in Port Harcourt.

The 41.4 kilometer road was awarded to the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation at the cost of N34, 047, 096, 919.17 with a completion period of 30 months.

Flagging of the project, President Jonathan represented by the Minister for Works, Chief Mike Onolememen, said the gesture was a demonstration of his avowed commitment to the development of road infrastructure in the country in line with the transformation agenda of his administration.

He noted that the Enugu-Port Harcourt dual carriage way is an important North-South arterial highway route connecting so many important cities in the country.

Jonathan said the highway constructed over 70 years ago was begging for total rehabilitation following enormous pressure on it as a result of increasing traffic flow, hence, the resolve of his administration to give it a face-lift.

He noted with delight the progress of work on section one of the expressway, stretching from Lokpanta to Aba awarded in 2013, hinting that section three of the road spanning from Enugu to Lopkanta had already been awarded and would be flagged-off next week.

The President said with the award of contract for the second and third sections of the road, “the entire stretch of the Enugu-Port Harcourt highway is now under total rehabilitation.”

This he added was in response to “the cries and yearnings of the good people of the South-South and South East zones and indeed all Nigerians.”

Onolememen in his own address which was read by the Director of Highway Planning and Development, Federal Ministry of Works, Mr. Bala Danshehu, said the total length of the road from Enugu to Port Harcourt is 218 kilometers.
