naptu2: There's no glut because Iran's oil is already and has always been on the international market.
Despite US sanctions, shadow fleet have been smuggling Iranian oil to places like China. Countries have been buying it at a discount (discount/cheaper because Iran needs to sell the oil and its market is limited because of sanctions).
All this will mean is that Iranian oil will become a little more expensive for China and other customers because Iran now has a greater choice of customers, but the oil has always been available.

The bolded is the reason for the thread. Op has noticed the poor treatment of his mother towards his father.

fyneboi79: Feminist gender protector has spoken Did my calling out of your ignorant generalisation of the so called untrustworthiness of women pain you so much? You said women cannot be trusted and I corrected you that your female relatives may not be trustworthy, but that doesn't mean other women cannot be trusted. Abi are your female relatives not women? Why is it paining you so much? Na you talk sey women (your female relatives included) cannot be trusted so why is it paining you so much that you are now spamming my mentions like someone suffering from Down Syndrome? Get yourself an education while you ponder on my post. A proper education will make you understand the true meaning of 'feminist' so that you will stop abusing the word. This will be my only word to you on this matter because going forward, I will ignore you so hard, you will doubt your own existence. |

Romance › Re: Learn From My Father's Mistake by Ishilove: 5:23pm On Mar 19 |
pussyphilia: Your mother is the dominant partner in the marriage with your father and it is normal. Marriage works better between one hot-headed partner and a cool-headed one. The hot-headed partner naturally drives the wheel of the relationship while the other submits. There can never be equality in a marriage. If your father was not cool-headed that marriage would have crashed since.
This is why I advise people to choose their partners properly who can compliment them. If you know that you're a dominant force, be you male or female, go for a cool-headed partner and drive the wheel of your marriage while your partner submits. You can't have two captains on a ship. These things are pretty easy to understand. In this generation and even from beginning of time, the idea of expecting a woman to always be the submissive partner is delusional! If God wanted it that way, he wouldn't create men like your father who would rather submit nor women like your mother who would rather lead. So, cut your father some slacks and understand that the marriage worked because he chose to be himself and submit to your mother instead of trying to be who he is not and eventually destroying the marriage. Beautiful submission. |

GloriousGbola: solar installation and cctv is hands on work. you cannot learn it while working as a driver, especially with the way we learn as nigerians you have to go in, get your hands dirty and that way you figure out your margins
being a driver is good if you are a student or involved in study based learning - because a large part of the time you are siting down waiting for oga/madam to move.
as a person who has been thoroughly frustrated by drivers, there is no guarantee the guy will keep that job - if you have been driving in a commercial /hustle environment and you cannot shed that attitude, you may likely piss off your boss immediately
in the end a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
if you are just entering handwork business it will be labour intensive and age is not on the man's side. add to that , as a noob, how do you get references?
tyhe driving job to hold body - but i am not sure how you can enter solar industry at 43 years with 0 experience
self employment comes with ts own learning/struggle curve where you barely break even for 2 to 3 years but build experience and a reputation.
good luck to op i guess
160 a month is bad for a family man and it is survival money at best 160k is peanuts, but at least it is better than nothing. |

These ones have a whole lot of growing up to do. See them forming hard man hard man. Life will teach you that everything is not black and white. If you want to treat your woman badly or shabbily all well and good, but just as some of you noticed the imperfections of your parents' relationship, your children will notice the poor treatment you mete out on their mother and will be your karma.
This is why I am not moved when people talk about kids favouring their mum over their dads in old age. It is this kind of behaviour. They will give their mothers 80% and give you 20% to compensate her for the bullshit you put her through.
You think you're being an alpha male? You don't want to treat your woman like a queen even when she is deserving of it? No, younglings. It is yourself you are doing, not your woman. Na when night don come your eye go clear. |

budaatum: And because you "have dated plenty Nigerian babes", all Nigerian babes are all like your mumsi, yet, your argument is based on all Nigerian men not being like your popsi?
Sorry, but your supposed logic is illogical, and I'd be very interested to read what you have to say when you marry a wife of your own.
My advise is, go get some uneducated woman from your village that you'd be more able to brutally handle, but make sure her family don't know you are brutally handling their daughter or they might not appreciate your brutality.
Also know that fear is not respect. You'd learn this as you grow if you don't already. Preach, aunty. |

joseph1832: You see my dear, many Nigerians suffer from this appalling mentality of "nothing go happen" whenever they break or abuse our laws, customs, beliefs or tradition.
I know many won't even learn from this, they will still see it as their God given right, to break and abuse the rule of law. Should you even attempt to correct them, they waste no time in abusing you.
I honestly hope those sanctioned will remain sanctioned. Tssk. Peller is ignorant and he carried that ignorance and anyhowness to the palace. It was now left for the palace officials to guide him, or turn him away as the case may be. It is just unfortunate that the Queen, who should know better lowered the standards like this. I'm betting it is one of the younger queens who is still a GenZer that is involved in this fuckery. Then as for the chiefs, I am suspecting they were bribed or coerced by the queen. That's the only explanation that makes sense |

Richtaiwo: Everything is tyranny in your eyes. Members of a palace openly desecrated that very institution, and the appropriate sanctions, clearly grounded in long-standing tradition, are now being enforced. Yet here you are, crying “tyranny.”
Out of curiosity, what exactly do you do? It would be helpful to understand the professional background of someone who habitually raises alarm whenever offenders face consequences. Because your reflexive outrage appears less like principled concern and more like a poorly disguised aversion to discipline and order. Your English is plenty and I like it! Public holiday has to be announced in advance
so normally the FG hedges and assumes ramadan will be 29 days. if they dont do this - you can have a situation where there is no public holiday on eid day, which will be very not cool
also Saudis normally insist on not seeing the moon until it is 30 days , nigerians not so much Hehe. Please are you saying that even if the Saudis sight the moon on the 29th day, they will hem and haw until the 30th day? |
