Boy - what anger do you have inside? I know "fartbox stranger" was very dismissive, but asshole, jungle, 419er, etc.
I am sure pops may have said EASE OFF!, no? smiley (no offense meant by the way).
No No NO, maybe if you had not done selective reading then you concluding that I am plagued with anger wouldn't have been. I suggest you re-read what was directed at me, the reason for triggering such a reply. Thank you,
ToToChoper:
"Penis envy" by Freud was later conceptualized as Electra complex by Carl Jung.
Yes it was. They are both crazy people anyway. But I do see some merits in what both had to say on the issue, I have greater admiration for Erickson though. He seemed to have been the more 'saner" of the bunch,

@fartbox stranger,
I thought before making a reply to your obviously miserable asshole, since I have come to realise that thanks to unproductive offsprings as yourself are responsible for the typle of world we live in. However, as I have continually stressed in the past, it is a free world and we are all entitled to our opinions. However, when airheads like yourself decide to be personal, then my metamorphasis sets in.

First of all, if you hadn't just jumped out of your sweaty jungle but had instead followed anything I have every written on this forum you may have read that Sigmund Freud and his mess-up theory has always been a thorn in a flesh. Since you seemed to be his long last illegitimate offspring, why don't you do US the honours and explain to us,

Secondy, for the love of God can you attack me for an observation that I made and have been made by many others in my field of work, then turn around and advise to go watch a movie to gain better understanding? I can see you are really going out of your "cotton picking mind". Yes the "pursuit of happiness" depicted the life of someone who had to struggle to become somebody, and yes NOT every child who grew up with loving parents turn out to be good. I guess it transcends beyond that, so it therefore accurate for me to also conclude that NOT every 419er really need to be scamming people of their hard earned money, and NOT every thief came from poverty stricken homes.

I have NO problem with anyone disagreeing with anything I have said. Afterall, we most times have to disagree in order to agree, however, when it is taken to a personal level then it irritates the hell out of me.

Now take your vile back to the jungle. If and when you decide on being civilsed and can reason like a well-bred human you can holla at me. Until then I have money to make,

You don't go into a marriage wondering if you can cope with the person's bads or not, you got to be certain . .
And there sir lies the cure to your problem.  If I were you I would take this antidote and run.  It is obvious you have doubts and the sooner you two part ways, the better it will be. Be polite, thank her for the time she spent and wish her well then let her be. Trust me, life is too short, no one deserves this much drama,

Iyke-D:
Just wondering. . . so what shapes a boy's life, the relationship he has with the mother or the father or are boys
on their own?
Have you ever heard of the "Oedipus complex"? Well to cut a long story short, it simple outlines the attraction, according to Sigmund Freud, that boys have regarding their mothers. Now I am convinced that Freud was a mad man, in that he claimed that boys tend to have sexual feelings for their moms. He further went on to state that girls have what is called "Penis Envy" (it is self explanatory)

Anyway, you may not quite understand where I am going with all of this. My point is, if little girls are showered with affection and love by the "men" in their lives, they tend not to fall for the first guy who comes claiming to love them, thus many of the abusive relationships that many have settled for would have never materialised on the onset.

Same goes for boys. It has been proven that boys who are taught to be loving toward the "ladies" in their lives, grow up treating their wives in that very same manner. On the negative sides, homes where abuse was rampant tend to produce males who go on to being abusive to their better halves.

@ Islander
I rili feel u on that 1, it's d same way any guy that has a responsible mother would always look for her qualities in a potential wife (at least that what my dad said was 1 of the reasons he chose my mom), but nowadays its like all those virtuous qualities are missin in our women these days
Now that a real man has finally spoken I feel justified in my reasoning. And you are so right. It's high time that both men and women realise that having sound relationships with their children will enable them to grow into great parents,

Travesty of freaking Justice. How can someone who was born and bred in Sodom and Gommorah, where "Gaydom" now has now become the order of the day, now travel to someone else's country and scream foulhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh?

I lived 3 years in Cuba and had to adjust to being kissed by both men and women, as that was the way one was greeted in that culture. So Hero needs to first pull that stone out of his eyes before he attempts to do so to others.

Thank you my dear KulaShaker,
I find it rather disturbing to say the least that "BLACK PEOPLE" find it difficult to comprehend how important a father-daughter relationship is. Now before the Nairaland sharks come attacking me, let me reiterate that I am BLACK.  I used the term, not to in any way insult anyone, but to rather tackle a problem that has been plauging us for centuries.

A few years ago while conducting research information for a project in college, I came across some rather disturbing findings.  It was proven that women who grew up with without the affection of a male (father, step-father) end up most of the time settling for any baboon that comes her way preaching the false gospel of "love"

As you plainly stated my dear, my dad and brothers, albeit of their many flaws, treated us, the ladies in my family, with ultimate respect, showered us with Love, thus we are equipped with the necessary essentials in choosing befitting mates.

PS. Kula sorry to hear about your dad. The truth is there are sperm donors and there are fathers. Every man is capable of being a daddy, but not every daddy is a father.

am i missing something? Your dad!!!!!!!! anyway let me reserve my comment.
YES reserve your comment, for you may bite off a little bit more than you can chew.

My dad (RIP) was an epitome of what a Man should be. He was the damn best. My mother was treated like the Queen that she is, and he took care of his responsibilities as a man. Therefore, I deserve the same treatment as my mom, thus my aim in finding a mate like my dad,
