I will keep trying till she gives me attention.
There lies the crust of your problem, ATTENTION, that's what you are lacking.
Too bad, she won't be able to help.

I suggest to book a visit to Dr. Phil, he has been known to assist people suffering from similar dysfuctions,
Best of Luck!!

According to the reknown psychologist Errickson, "children who are deprived of attention at an early age, grow up to be unhappy, hateful and unsettled"
I suggest those who fall under this category check themselves out, rather than making a nuisance of themselves.

PoliticsRe: Major Defeat For G.w. Bush by Islander(f): 4:33am On Jun 30, 2007
davidylan:
Some time ago Bill Gates complained about the US decision to place a cap on work visas for skilled workers. While skilled workers looking for a decent chance to contribute to the US economy are denied such opportunities, the banana-picking mexican is busy demanding legal papers to continue picking more bananas and depending on welfare.
Ok papi,
Now the skills I made mention of a couple of posts ago are not at all "banana picking" or "domesticated". I was refering to the educated ones who held prestigious positions in their land of birth.  Of course I am against just offering citizenship to those who are here without anything substantial to offer. Again let me reiterate here that as long as the immigrant can be an asset, why not capitalise on that.

Now with regards to the welfare scenario, c'mon you and I know who really benefit from that.  And you know it's not the illegal aliens.

Another factor worthy of note is that, illegal immigration transcends way beyond the issue of border-crossing Mexicans.  There are large numbers of undocumented aliens from all parts of the world.  Also we must not forget that there are immigrants here, who although did not enter the country illegally, fall under the same bracket so to speak.

@Proverbial and I-Man, I heard you guys loud and clear, and while I agree with certain arguments you both have presented, I am still of the opinion that there are illegal aliens that should be afforded the opportunity to become legal residents.
PoliticsRe: Major Defeat For G.w. Bush by Islander(f): 12:36am On Jun 30, 2007
I-man:
All the skilled workers the country needs can be obtained by means of legal immigration. The problem is that if you reward law breakers for their unlawful acts, you set a bad precedent.
I am not refuting your statement. I am simply saying that since it would be impossible to deport those already here, why not capitalise on whatever skills they came with and benefit from that in the long run??

Ok, guys I see a trend developing here and nothing turns me on more than a healthy debate. Unfortunately, my metro is heading for the underground, but I shall be back, grin
PoliticsRe: Major Defeat For G.w. Bush by Islander(f): 12:29am On Jun 30, 2007
proverbial:
abi o David, that's what I said.

Islander check this out by the way:

"When your home is repeatedly being broken into by thieves and worse, you get them OUT of your house by arresting them and removing them from your premises. You then install a very good alarm and security system so that they cannot enter again without being immediately identified, arrested, and removed before they do any harm at all. You DO NOT allow them to remain in your home, call them family, and THEN install the alarm system, after giving the thieves your passcode to deactivate it "temporarily"."
Before I attempt to provide an answer. Are you refering to illegal aliens as thieves? If so, this is preposterous since we all know that many of these people are harmless and only came here to make an honest living.

Again Proverbial, I say yes to legalising aliens who have something to offer. For those who would add further burden to be economy( like many of its lazy unproductive nationals) then I have a problem.

PS> Great scenario, however, I have seen them as hard working working people and not menaces to society,
