Am amazed most of the times when people insult themselves all because of comments. You don't need to insult or cause anybody because of his own perception about an issue. You only need to bring out your own point to convince him and make him see from another point of view. However, budgeting is done by civil servants in ministries, they forward it to their directors and permanent secretary who in turn collate and present them to the ministers. The ministers then pass it to presidency/budgeting office for final compilation and presentation to the president. The civil servants know what their need in the office is and they make requisition for it. It is not possible for a minister to visit one of their department in Calabar or Owerri to go and be asking for what their need is. I am not trying to justify the need for computer every year but I can tell you that the civil servants does not have enough computers to work with. That is why you see some ICT company donating to some agencies which they felt are in dire need off it because their job affects the populace much.
The Honourable rep that is now complaining has never taken time to visit the offices to really know what their needs are, therefore he should not complain. Those are part of their oversight functions as assembly men. If the Rep man wishes to stop purchase of computer every year, he should dedicate a whole month and visit the offices in all the ministries to confirm whether there is Ned for it or not. You don't need to complain when you never make any proper investigations. They should go ahead to confirm whether the one budgeted for in the last years were really purchased , that makes them good Rep of their people. There is no need to complain but they should investigate whether the previous ones were bought. If they were really purchases, then what were they used for and by who? If they do follow up, things will be better but instead they prefer to add their own and pad the budget.
Until our Senators and Rep stand up to their duty, that is when things will change. By the way, why is their own budget not in the public domain. Or is there anyone here that has seen the budget of the house of assembly in the last five years. Thank you

Sometimes, we as Nigerians display ignorance when we refuse to report issues that has to do with security matter. Why would the family not report to police about his kidnap. What they are trying to avoid eventually happened . If the police were aware, they would have passed the information to the commander of the operation crocodile smile, this would have made them to be more careful while conducting the operation. They were only doing their job of fishing out militants who are at the same time kidnappers, so they will be ready to shoot if there is any resistance. Well I pray that God will comfort the family, it not an easy thing to loose a relative. But we should always put sentiments aside and report issues that has to do with security to appropriate authority.

It is the president that will present the list, any attempt to deny it will be an affront to Mr President not Tinubu. Having read through this thread, i found out that a lot of people don't know milestone projects that were started during OBJ administration. Some of the power project, railway and some other key ones were negotiated by his administration. Some were counterpart funded and the agreements were done in such a way that incoming administration have no choice but to continue with them. These are some of the project being commissioned and under construction today. Dont celebrate GEJ on what he did not initiate. Also remember that OBJ came in after 15yrs of neglect of infrastructure development by military.
