Politics › Re: Apapa Explosion Was Terrorist Bomb Blast. Shocking!! by ISpiksDaTroof: 8:27pm On Jul 08, 2014
ChrisOD: The Yorubas really have nothing to lose in Lagos except their pride. In contrast Igbos will lose most if Lagos goes in flames (God forbid), seeing that they own at least 50% of Lagos wealth.
Well, I wasnt thinking about the Ibos so I dont know why you brought them into this discussion. I was actually thinking towards the Federal Govt, its Northern Terrorists/Niger-Delta Militants collaborators.

P.S: Good to know that Ibos are the richest on earth, but why did you feel the need to tell me that?
Politics › Re: Apapa Explosion Was Terrorist Bomb Blast. Shocking!! by ISpiksDaTroof: 8:15pm On Jul 08, 2014
Ask yourselves these questions and try to answer it truthfully:

Why would the North want to attack the West?

Who benefits more if the Yorubas and the Northerners start fighting and killing themselves.

Now you know where to look if an attack occurs in the South West.

Politics › Re: After Jonathan, What Next For The Ijaw? by ISpiksDaTroof:
Francis5: 100% Igbos support Jonathan
In contrast, not all SW and North support the opposition candidate of APC. Many Nners and SWners also support Jonathan. For example, there now is a strong PDP presence in SW; see how Fayose trumped Fayemi. Ekiti is now for Jonathan. However, not all SS (example Edo and parts of Rivers) support Jonathan

All in all, remove SE and all Igbos in Nigeria (outside SE) and Jonathan would lose big.
So, if that's the case ( and I believe you're right) why are the Ibos taking the glory as if they are the only ones ensuring that GEJ becomes President?

PS: Ekiti is not PDP. They voted AGAINST Fayemi not for PDP.
Politics › Re: After Jonathan, What Next For The Ijaw? by ISpiksDaTroof: 4:54pm On Jul 07, 2014
Francis5: So Jonathan represents the Niger Delta in the race for the presidency
But we have seen how the Ijaw nation have hijacked the words ''Niger Delta'', to the exclusion of others in the region
We also know that there is no love lost between the North, SW and Jonathan (and so by extension Ijaw)
We have also seen how the Igbos are the backbone of Jonathan
We have also seen how a few (yes, a few) shortsighted Ijaws speak disrespectfully of Igbos here in Nairaland

So I ask, what becomes of the Ijaw when Jonathan is gone? He might go in 2015 if the Igbos withdraw their support for him
And even if he stays up to 2019 with Igbo support, he must leave in 2019.
So after generating so many enemies for themselves, what becomes of the Ijaw politically after 2015 or 2019?
So if Ibos support Jonathan he stays, but if they withdraw support, he loses?

Just one quick question : how is ibo support going to trump Hausa+Yoruba support of whichever candidate they settle upon?
Politics › Re: Apc, Please Get Serious By Dele Momodu by ISpiksDaTroof: 3:17pm On Jul 06, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: So according to Dele Momodu, the Ekiti election was a personality clash between Fayose and Fayemi, and has nothing to do with political parties? But the same Fayose contested for a senatorial post in the 2011 elections under the platform of Labour Party and lost SUCCESSFULLY. So what changed between the elections in 2011 and 2014?

APC liars and propagandists, telling lies since 1804!

Sincere 9gerian: That Monorail to nowhere is a white elephant project. Amaechi should have learnt from Lagos and Abuja who are building a light rail. In sane societies, Amaechi should have been forced to resign on account of that very wasteful mis-adventure. Tens of billions of naira, gone down the drain just like that

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Not Sponsored By Anti-jonathan Politicians — US Officials by ISpiksDaTroof: 4:36am On Jul 06, 2014
Positiveminds: Since USA know so much about Boko Haram, they should tell us who the sponsors are. Methinks there are world powers that want to break up Nigeria at all cost for their own economic interests.
Lies!

Your President came into power with the intention of staying forever, that much we know. When that didn't work he sought to create animosity amongst Nigerians using Religion and Tribe; that move has backfired because his former (Northern) collaborators have now turned against him. Not only that,Islamic terrorists have now joined in the fray.

If you want to know the origin of Boko Haram look no further than your President...

If you don't believe me, ask Henry Okah.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Not Sponsored By Anti-jonathan Politicians — US Officials by ISpiksDaTroof: 4:32am On Jul 06, 2014
XKZ: The caption of this article is misleading and looks like a deliberate attempt to twist the truth.

The only thing the US Officials say definitely is that Boko Haram's funding is not from international sources rather they are from local sources.
All the other information in the article is about what they suspect and estimate.

They only say kidnapping and other criminal activities are involved and appear to be main source of their local funding; and this does not in away exclude funding from local politicians (whether opposition or ruling party) who are basically the ones who have access to huge amounts of (liquid) cash via stolen government funds.

Personally, I believe if kidnappings was that important to Boko Haram it would be much more rampant, the way it was during the Niger Delta militancy or even in the South-East.
Exactly!

So who carries out kidnappings more in your country and who gets paid big bucks for it; North or South?

Yup. Thats your answer right there.

We can't spell everything out for you then be expected to pronounce it too. Y'all use your heads for once. Sheesh!

Ekundayo7: They are not saying that Northern oligarchy are not funding BH, just that they have found no evidence, and seriously, do we really think they could find their way out of a sock? How on earth could they possibly get access to financial transactions between Northern sympathizers and backers and BH? The FG can't even track it's own money let alone an outsider who has no understanding of the capital "C" of corruption. BH is nothing more and nothing less than a Northern creation that has ties with fundamentalist Wahhabi terrorist roots. They would like to kill two birds with one stone-overturn the FG securing their family looting lineage until the end times, and also install their shari'a law down to Lagos. BH has turned the corner into radical fundamentalism and whichever way the wind blows that will bring the most loot to the Northern Oligarchy is fine with them. These elitists cut their teeth in Sudan and other terrorist breeding grounds, so what do you expect? It is the "do as I say, not as I do" school of Islam supremacy. One need only look at the madmen currently rampaging in Syria and Iraq to understand this is all about power and money. Drunk on blood and death, either the sane Muslims/Christians pick up arms against them or get ready for entering the mass ethnic cleansings taking place as I write this. Northern leaders are playing both sides of the knife. The religion of Islam is nothing more than a politicized tool to control the population through shari'a. The sooner people figure that out the better.
Have you ever heard of Henry Okah? What about Oct' 1st 2010, bombing (The Very first major bombing)? How about Gen.Patrick Azazi?

Yes? No?

I doubt its yes if not you wouldn't spill all the rubbish you did up there.

I don't know why the Oba is distancing himself from his son decision...I wonder why the oba is making an issue out of this...
Of course he has to make an issue of it. Don't you remember about two months ago when a certain son of the Oba went to Aso Rock and pretended like his father gave him the authority to proclaim the Kingdom's allegiance with GEJ's Govt? You forget how PDP made sure that visit was blasted all over social media? But now you want the Oba to be neutral?

Jakumo: You forgot to mention that Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden is a major financier and spokesman for the Boko Haram terror group that is currently tearing Nigeria apart. As you point out so eloquently, Ayatollah Buhari is a most definitely a compulsive thief, serial killer and fundamentalist rabble-rousing instigator for sure. Hopefully that scowling mullah will face international trial at some point for his crimes against humanity, though an "accidental" drone-strike would facilitate a more lasting solution to this menace.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Has An Image Problem; Western News Altering Perception by ISpiksDaTroof: 3:02am On Jul 01, 2014
nduaj: I once had to “manage” a group of Dutch advisers who were to be with our firm for a year.
In summary when one was leaving he told me, ‘Kalu, Nigeria has an image problem. I only came here because it was good for my career. I was scared stiff.

However I love Nigeria, Lagos is safer than Amsterdam. In Armstadam I cannot walk on the street outside the ING office after 8 pm, drug dealers will mug me” I don’t say this to compare crime stats between
Armstadam and Lagos but to make the point that these are perceptions driven by the news cycle.

CNN was here for about a month and ran wall to wall coverage of # bring back our girls, their team went by road to Chibok! So it’s not suprising people perceive
Nigeria as Boko Haram, it’s a valid perception.

I was shocked to see Sudan on TV years ago on Al jazera with green neighborhoods and skyscrapers. All I saw on CNN and BBC about Sudan was starving kids in Dafour.

I was shocked to also find out there was a Jew in the Iran parliament and that Jews have a community in Iran. All I knew about the Iran were Mullahs, and “death to America and Israel” News drives perception, and perceptions stick. News is
just reported reality, it’s not the whole reality. In effect what we have as news is an editors perception of reality. Valid but i say that to context things.

I recall a program that showed Americans pictures of Detroit, some American argued it was Lebanon or Sarajevo or some war inflicted capital not some city in the US, but some parts of Detriot look like Lebanon after the civil war, we don’t know because it’s not reported by the news.

There are more Kidnapping in Arizona than the Niger Delta, more deaths by handguns from gang warfare in Chicago than Borno. Yes Borno (WEF says 5000 people have been killed in Chicago since 2001 based on Department of Defense and FBT data) again, ask about Chicago and you may see skyscrapers. Perceptions.

The distance from Abuja to Chibok is the same from Abuja to Gassol LGA in Taraba where an American is cultivating 30,000 hectares of rice, the largest in Africa
employing 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect workers. Did or has CNN, an American station ever carried this story of an American in Gassol?

Calaber is crime free. It’s perhaps Africa biggest kept secret. Cheap, green and quiet, has BBC ever reported the Calabar Carnival? If it bleeds they say it leads, and Nigeria is bleeding. Boko Haram are not really interested in killings or bombing per say. If they really wanted to kill people
they would simply poison the water supply in a large city. They want the publicity, why? Perception.

Notice, we have bombs when ever we are hosting an international event, President has guests, President is travelling, or Nigeria seems to be gathering positive
momentum.

The folks controlling BH understand perception and as long as they can replace The World Economic Summit
with kidnapped girls, then Boko Haram is working.

I sometimes sit back and imagine the investment that would have poured into Nigeria if we didn’t have these senseless violence and killings. The good thing is perceptions can be changed via hard
work.

“Made in Taiwan” was once perceived as inferior to “made in Great Britain”
Brazil was once a byword for corruption and a destination for fugitives to run to
Folks we are in for a bumpy ride.

Nigerians have to work to change the perception of Nigeria, it’s our problem and we can fix it!
Thats a job for the top Govt officials that you're now shifting to ordinary Nigerians.

Nurse's Aide Convicted of Raping 92-Year-Old Woman

A former aide at a Cincinnati nursing home has been convicted of raping a 92-year-old resident who was confined to her bed and unable to communicate.

A judge on Monday found 22-year-old Samuel Onyenweaku guilty of the woman's Nov. 24 rape at the Amber Park Nursing Home.

A prosecutor says the woman died in February from an unrelated condition.

A nursing supervisor testified that she had tried to enter the resident's room, but the door was locked. When she finally opened it, she says she found the resident naked from the chest down and Onyenweaku in her private bathroom.

The Cincinnati Enquirer ( http://cin.ci/1jbNRiW ) reports that Onyenweaku was convicted of rape, felonious assault and patient abuse.

He could face 20 years in prison when he's sentenced July 28.

You are one smart fella!

It is obvious that the Govt (and its allies) are behind some of these bombings to keep creating a fear and suspicion among the North and South. Criminal elements from both Regions have taken sides in this fight for Aso Rock-- because whoever sits on that throne is King-- and have resorted to using propaganda and force to the fullest. The ONLY reason Nigeria is not in a full scale civil war right now is because the Yorubas have not fully identified with a side--- they are still on the fence. The moment they choose a side, thats it, the Nigerian experiment is over. The question now is: which side will be able to win the Yorubas to their team?

The North and parts of the South (especially in the Niger-Delta area) have been smuggling in arms for years now in preparation for a showdown if all other methods fail. The North's biggest bomb did not come from Boko Haram, it came in the form of merging the two biggest opposition parties from both regions under one political umbrella (No pun intended ).

Now this next part please Answer ONLY "Yes" or "No":

1. Do you believe that Boko Haram is a Northern creation to destabilize the Govt of GEJ?

2. Do you believe Boko Haram has sponsors in the North, and that these individuals include some of its most influential people?

3. Do you believe that the Govt knows these said sponsors but refuses to name them?

4. Do you believe that the top echelons of Nigeria's Wealthy political elite know who is behind Boko Haram but everyone has chosen to keep mum and not call names?

5. Do you believe the North and South West are currently Political allies?

6. Do you believe that the Western Region of Nigeria leans mostly towards APC than PDP?

If you answered "Yes" to at least 3 of the questions above, now, tell me:

If the North and West are friends, who would benefit more from an attack in Lagos that would lead to violent reprisals by the Yorubas against Northerners all over Western Nigeria ??!!?! Something doesn't seem right and thats why I would assume is the reason why--- if a bomb did go off--- the Lagos State Government is keeping it under hush. Things are not adding up.

Nigerians need to start asking their Federal Government serious questions because they play them using the same tricks, and every time the people just fall for it.
