Curlieweed: The whole planet knows that the average American is an ignoramus. So, nothing new here.If I put a 12th grade kid next to your so-called university graduate, I bet you anything that 17yr old is way smarter and educated than that 39yr old man... or isn't that the age most of yall graduate 4yr university due to incessant strikes and bribes to lecturers? |
Curlieweed: The whole planet knows that the average American is an ignoramus. So, nothing new here.Ignoramus that has 24hr electricity, good roads, social welfare for the sick, young, invalid and old, quality education, equal justice regardless of your status, sex, creed or se*xual orientation, employment for all, security for all by means of effective policing... I think I'd rather be an ignoramus than a Nigerian. |
viyon02: op, i guess u are right, as far as we still have devil-in-man called tinubu apc is far worst than pdp. I cant wait when lagos will be taken from them. When you had a "pure" man like Buhari did you vote him? What did we hear: "Oh he's a terrorist and Islamic bigot and he's corrupt... em, well maybe he's not corrupt but he's trying to come back so he can still some money before he dies." What of Ribadu, did you vote him? The truth is the rest of Nigeria is letting the Ibos bully them into maintaining the status quo of corruption, ineptitude and gross underdevelopment by keeping GEJ as President by voting PDP in their Region while disparaging parties (APC) and condemning and disrespecting other tribes and religions. And, as long as Nigeria keeps voting PDP, Nigeria will never rise. |
The mods are obviously being paid by PDP led Nigerian Govt. Why are my posts being deleted, edited and titles changed? I can title my post however I like, so long as I am not breaking any rules. Yes, according to the comments my titling is correct so why are the Mods constantly changing it to something less scathing of this corrupt, and inept Govt? |
atlwireles: Dumbass, I repeat again, before your DC friends and jackasses worry about Nigeria, ask them to educate you people about your own country.Stop being rude. Your President just recently helped provide job security to Americans by giving Levick $1.2Million for a PR job. And, for this nice gesture we express our gratitude to him. |
Sunnybobo3: Unfortunately for you and your cohorts, Americans will not vote on the 14th of February 2015.That is true. Neither will we be involved in the rigging and the violence that is bound to occur... nor the civil war that is most likely gonna happen and continue for years. All we will do is evacuate our citizens and dare any of your idiot tribal militias to touch even the hair on any of them so we can test out new weapons on your land. Then we will wait until the war is almost over---and youve almost killed each other off---before sending boots on the ground and dragging Your leaders, Government officials and rebel leaders off to Guantanamo Bay and Fort Dix for onward shipment to The Hague or Florence, Colorado (depending on where we think will be most miserable where all they have for the rest of their days is memories of a life past filled with Mansions, Limousines, Fine Wine, Caviar, Champagne and Indian Prosti*tutes) Dont try us! |
MzJackBaueress: They look like students in a boarding school wearing school uniforms. Nothing attractive about it.They are no different from other Air-hostesses around the world during that era. |
Goandie: naija den can neva, ever and forever be compared to naija now, den corruption dos not exist or was very minimal becuz d standard of living then was wonderful but now, naija is n hell nd no cure or way out of itTheres actually a way around it. You still have men like Buhari and Ribadu that abhor corruption, utilize them at the highest helm and watch your fortunes turn around. |
atlwireles: Hypocrite? the average american does not have a clue what's happening in their own country. You are coming here to bore me with what they think about Goodluck? Dude, get a life.Do you read at all? Do you have a comprehension problem? When you argue with people do you "Listen" or you just "Hear" what you wanna? Like I said You hate America and D.C now, but the firm your beloved GEJ is on his knees begging to clean up his image is in that same District of Columbia. P.S: Bore "you"? Did I single you out with this article or did you choose to come in on your own free will to comment? Stop being annoying...and a hypocrite. |
DrObum: You've obviously not tried BlackBerry Q10!Exactly! |
angela98: Hmm it will be same poor battery life which is associated with all smart phone. I won't buy it, I Dont like the design. The screen is too small for me. I love phablet phones with 5.5" screen. It makes browsing enjoyable..Poor battery life?! The Blackberry z10's battery life is upwards of 8-10 hrs surfing the web, playing videos, texting and playing music all through. |
atlwireles: The average american bahRight, but when the same Govt you love so much wanted to clean up its tarnished image it turned to a firm in D.C. Stop being a hypocrite. |
Vivalavida99: It has everything to do with da fact, cuz an average American don't know shït about the rest of the world, especially Africa, but they 'll be the first to run their mouth on Africans. I hate the hypocrisy of the American government, they should try stop spying on the rest of the world first, especially their so called ally ( Germany) after that, they should be focused on the moles within ( Edward Snowden ). Then they should stop fueling conflict around the world. Look what is happening in Libya, Iraq and so many countries around the globe, all because of their greed to control the world resources. American imperialism should stop, enough is enough.Read what I wrote again. Stop letting your emotions take over logic. Nothing you said above has anything to do with nothing. Learn to start think critically and acting logically. You arent doing either right now. P.S:We're trying to control which resources? We produce more oil than you, we have more in reserves than you do, and we even stopped buying your oil, so how are we at your neck because of that? You might wanna try another approach. |
rdokoye: So an American that doesn’t even know where Nigeria is, or anything about the country or its people, has more understanding of the political landscape in the country than a native? You’ve just proven that you are just like them, a bigot who thinks, by virtue of being born in a wealthy country, somehow makes you more enlightened than others.Insulting me gets you no points and does you nothing but calming your seething emotional outburst. See my immediate previous post for responses to the questions you posed above. |
rdokoye: The average American can’t even point out Nigeria on an atlas map, so who cares what they think? They typically sway towards the Africans are inferior and incompetent mantra, so the president sponsoring terrorism in his own country appeals most to them; as ridiculous as it sounds. Not being able to point out Nigeria on the map doesnt mean they dont have a brain and cant have a logical perception. Heck, I bet nobody on my street can point out where Wyoming is on the map, but that doesnt make them illogical to the happenings around them. The President sponsoring terrorism in his own country doesnt "sound ridiculous", and most people just dont assume thats whats happening in your country because thats "what appeals most to them", they assume it because it is a very rational possibility when you put things together in addition to past history. It happens the world over, in despotic countries usually, so why should yours be different especially when the facts turn towards it? Havent Governments in your country's past sponsored terrorism against the Nation they govern over in order to divert attention from their own crimes/turn public attention against dissenters i.e General Abacha vs NADECO? Logic+Henry Okah+Oct'10 2010+Circumstantial Evidence= GEJ was behind some of the earliest bombings to sway public opinion against "Northern Political Elements", but now things have gotten out of hand and Islamists have joined in the fray. His old allies have now become his new enemies, and theyre using the same tactics they used to get him in power to remove him from it. You really, truly, think Americans think lowly of Africans thats why we think your Govt is behind Boko Haram? Explain to me then why we think our Govt was behind 9-11 and other terrorist acts around the world. The beautiful thing about Americans is that we tend to think logically and critically, something that seems hard for most Nigerians to do. Nigeria needs to invest heavily on quality education. |
Vivalavida99: Reason why American don't get it right when it comes to international diplomacy. They seems to get confuse on whose side they are, today they are supporting the Sunnis against Syria Al-Bashad, tomorrow they are against the same Sunnis in Iraq ( Isis). They are neither here or there, American foreign policy is a big failure, they should just admit and shut it already. What has the above got to do with the fact that anyone that can think logically understands that your President is behind (maybe not all, but some of) this chaos to divert attention from other illegal acts hes carrying out with his chronies. You Africans need to learn how to start thinking critically and logically. You just displayed the typical African way of reacting emotionally, instead of rationally, above. |

View all 52 comments: Steve In Little Rock 15 hours ago 0 5 I cannot imagine the thought process over there. Imagine if some religious cult attacked and kidnapped 300 high school girls from one of the Catholic high schools here in the US. Then imagine that (1) the police and military did nothing about it, (2) there was no progress on any form of resolution months later, (3) imagine that the kidnappers posted pictures of the girls and indicated that the girls had all converted to their cult, that they may be sold off as slaves, and (4) the president of the United States refused to stop by and talk with the parents of the kidnapped girls. That is essentially what has happened in Nigeria. More Reply Muluken 16 hours ago 0 9 Africa was poor, Africa is poor and Africa will continue to be poor if we the Africans are not ready to change Africa. Africa will remain poor if Africans are not ready to make Africa rich. There is poverty in Africa and there is hunger everywhere on the continent of Africa. HIV/AIDs continues to kill Africans in record numbers. Africa is poor and there is no doubt Africa is poor. The question is not why Africa is poor but may be how we can make Africa rich. What we can do as individuals or groups to help change Africa. There is poverty in Africa but Africa has almost all it takes to be the richest continent on earth. The major problem facing Africa today is corruption and poor leadership. There are greedy people in Africa including our leaders who don't care about their poor mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. Some people are too greedy and that is why Africa remains poor. People are killing their own brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers just to make money. People didn't care about yesterday and people don't even care about tomorrow. All they care about is money and money and that is why Africa remains poor. All African leaders I know are corrupt in one way or the other. They come as saints and leave as devils.. An African president of a country is a president for a few selected people. An African president is a president for only the educated and a president for only those in the higher class. An African president sees no poverty. An African president sees no hunger. An African president sees no HIV. An African president knows no orphan. An African president shows no mercy. An African presidents sees only money and money and nothing but money.. Not just the African president but the African prime minister, the African governor, the African Doctor, the African Judge, the African lawyer, the African King, and even the African Pastor. And that is why Africa is still poor and that is why Africa continues to wallow in poverty... Visiting those families means providing care, strength, endurance...but, our African Leaders like him are still thinking on the old days....priding themselves than caring the people who elected him...What a poor Judgment. May The Lord Gives endurance to our families and sisters who abducted by extremists. More Reply Seajinx 16 hours ago 0 5 Talk about a stunt show from the Nigerian Government. Jennydoris: It's better to lack exposure than to be illiterate. With just travelling u can be exposed to making new friends and meeting new things and learning from them too. But being an illiterate will make you not expose yourself for fear of being exposed of your illiterate nature. You're worse off being illiterate than lacking exposure. "Illiteracy" is subjective. You can be illiterate in reading and writing, for example, but be literate in real life subjects like politics, sociology, theology, psychology etc When you "lack exposure"---to put it mildly--- you're ignorant as hell, dense, dumb, a dunce, dunderhead, ignoramus and could probably be classified as an imbe*cile when compared to someone on your level that is "exposed". An "illiterate" Nigerian cab driver in London,Boston, Berlin (i.e the extremely smart Ibo man I had a discussion about Nigerian politics with a few days ago on my way to the Airport) could be viewed as more intelligent than a Yoruba University Graduate that has never left Ibadan for a single day if both of them tabled their views/ideas on a particular subject (i.e running a government using modern methods) because one is "exposed" while the other lacks it. As a final example, take GEJ for instance. He is a PhD holder. And, while its no hidden secret that the Nigerian Educational system is extremely poor, most of his gaffes have come as a result of the fact that he is not "exposed" and as a result he comes across as backwards, brutish, dull, sneaky, inept and ---sometimes--- as an individual battling with low self-esteem. His wife is the same way but hers is two fold and even more catastrophic because she's (most likely) illiterate (or at best semi-literate) and also lacks "exposure". Exposure beats illiteracy anytime. p.s: I used the terms "Ibo" and "Yoruba" up there to further strengthen my writing and not to denigrate or praise any particular tribe. |

jayseehe: GEJ should continue with his selective treatment.Oh, you're just realizing it? A man whom--- just three weeks after he became President--- his first Bill to the National Assembly was how to perpetuate himself in power FOREVER by asking for a 7yr single term tenure; the same method dictators all around Africa use to impose themselves in power for life.... yall thought he was joking? Do you remember GEJ's first state visits during his first two weeks as President? No? Ok, let me remind you: it was to Cameroon and Uganda to visit Paul Biya and Yuweri Musevini. Both men have been in power for 30+yrs using the same single term tenure by amending the constitution of their countries. Immediately after visiting those men, GEJ returned to Nigeria and proposed the same amendment to the constitution. Once this happened Intelligence and analysts in the West knew we were dealing with another African Dictator. If GEJ "wins" in 2015, I can assure you that the constitutional Amendment will be revisited, and more than likely, GEJ will be the only President most of you will know for the rest of your days...well, at least until your various tribes finally go to war. |

Yomieluv: Even if he is,he just too callous of him to have said that...insulting GEJ,is an insult to the presidency, and Nigeria as a whole...maybe its high time a law is passed to criminalized an insult to the presidency..as if he can do better,if he's the president.Your kinds are the types hes talking about and fighting for: Those shackled psychologically by the elite. |
Nigeria is the only country on Earth where Assault is not a crime. You can verbally or physically assault anyone and nothing will happen. A country filled to brim with wild animals walking on two feet. What stops President Goodluck Jonathan from giving a 2-5 minutes speech to the Nation sternly and specifically condemning Physical and Verbal Assault, citing examples, affirming zero-tolerance of physical assault, and immediately setting up and empowering special bodies and hotlines to deal with such issues. That is how directions are set in a country. That is how leaders lead. And, that is how precedents are started and a wild and unruly bunch like Nigerians are set on the right path. Alas, Nigeria is directionless and a cow is leading Sheep, Pigs and donkeys when a Shepherd should be doing that job. Nigeria is a sad case. |
Adelaide2: You claim not to be Nigerian yet all your posts here reek of Yoruba, Yoruba and more Yoruba. Who are you trying to deceive?Others, like you, have tried and they have failed. You are a freaking liar! You can go back to my old posts ---and right before NL was "hacked"--- was when I started having a discerning mind towards your group/tribe as a whole. I dont hate them, but I am very wary and have a different view of them from online interaction. I tried to be as neutral as possible, but their uncouth, brash, sentimental and irrational behavior finally ticked me off, I guess. If that makes me Yoruba to you, then so be it. Cry me a river. Truth is, from what I have witnessed online, I cant honestly be labelled a fan of your group. Not that I like any other group in Nigeria more either, but, yours gets the grand prize for being unbelievably and unnecessarily childish, annoying, clannish, religiously intolerant and bigoted. P.S: You last paragraph shows your mentality to the T. |
