Amya: You really are clueless!

A man who was squashed to death on the tire compartment of an airplane of an international airline paid eight hundred thousand naria to bribe some airport staff to help smuggle him into that part of the airplane.
N800,000 is less than $7000. A 18yr old recently graduated from high school student working at a car lot can earn that in 2-3 months (maybe even in a week if he gets the right commissions) So what the fxuck is your point exactly?
Travel › Re: On Nigerians And The 'must Travel Mentality' by ISpiksDaTroof: 3:48pm On Sep 28, 2014
Candour: I doubt the 'properties' mentioned in the OP are homes or lands. They could simply have been electronic gadgets, household furniture etc. Remember he said the traveller was his baby sister's friend? And since OP himself isn't an old man from his narratives, its clear the guy in question must be a young struggling Nigerian who knew he had nothing to present at the embassy hence opted for the 'cheaper' but suicidal route. He doesn't paint the picture of a comfortable Nigerian at all.

My take
Well, you will agree that those are not "properties" in the real sense of the word and the impression OP was giving was that the sold "properties" were valuables like Homes, Stocks, Bonds, businesses etc.
Politics › Re: The Fear Of Buhari Is The Begining Of Wisdom For Corrupt Politicians. by ISpiksDaTroof: 3:44pm On Sep 28, 2014
rudedough: As much as we want an incorruptible President, i don't think Buhari can do much in the fight against corruption. Why? Because we are not in the military era where judgement is served without trial. In a democracy Buhari will be frustrated by the judiciary's lacadestic approach to prosecuting corrupt politicians.

What is he going to do about the corrupt EFCC, Police, Judges? What about the intelligent lawyers, partisan press and readily available supporters that would stage a nationwide protest? What's Buhari going to do? Ask the military to whip protesting civilians like he did in 1983? Or is he going to muzzle the press once again? Or will he arrest and jail intelligent lawyers who're most likely to defend corrupt politicians in court? What is he going to do about these bottle-necks exactly?

Let's face it, the system is very corrupt and complicated and Buhari can't do much. I still will like to see him perform his magic however.
Only God knows how much I hate people like you. So,your new method in trying to convince people to continue with the status quo is to say:"Well, even Buhari can't change anything because the system is finished". No, monkeyfucka that's not how it works. When a leader holds himself accountable to the people and the Laws of the land, every other person below him has no choice but to do the same. That's why they are called "LEADERS"!!!! Buhari will never say "Ordinary stealing is what you call corruption"!

Put Gej back there in 2015 and watch your country transform to Zimbabwe in less than 18months.
Travel › Re: On Nigerians And The 'must Travel Mentality' by ISpiksDaTroof: 5:17am On Sep 28, 2014
Candour: I don't think its bullshit bro. Had a colleague 10years ago who told me his story very similar to this. He said the journey is called "see morroco.....see Spain"

It was heartbreaking to say the least when he recounted the tales of his acquaintances who lost their lives. He too almost died in the desert but was lucky to return home, go back to school and earn his diploma which got him a junior job in a bank. He's a graduate now and a hotel manager somewhere in northern Nigeria.
You missed my point completely. Im not saying people don't take desperate measures to enter Europe from Africa, all Im saying is if this thread is mainly about some people basically saying: "Well, if you're comfortable in Nigeria you'll never go abroad", why did the guy in the OP's story not just go to the Embassy and use his homes as proof that he has ties to his country instead of selling them and traveling through the desert and sailing on a raft in rough seas?

The OP is just upset that he can't make it out of Nigeria. Just my opinion.

Sanchez01: Truth is, you said my mind without mincing words. We claim Nigeria is bad, yet it birthed Seun and Linda, Japheth Omojuwa, Psquare, Tu-face, and even the so-called D'banj who was abroad did not 'make it' there until he came home. I have always concluded that Nigeria is a natural resources which does not require the regular mining to tap her wealth. Politicians keep looting, yet, it has not barred those who think outside of the boxing from succeeding.
safarigirl: you apparently know nothing if you assume you'll just travel out and a job will be waiting for you no matter how degrading.

I'll have you know that even the citizens of wherever you're travelling to would also be interested in that shiiit cleaning business you were hoping to snag....

Whatever money you'll make there will be taken away from you in the name of tax. Nigerians don't even know how good they have it here. You watch a few American movies and you think going abroad will be awesome. Na when dem ship your dead body come Naija na that time your relatives' eye go clear.

Only a lazy man will be poor in Nigeria, people in this country run businesses and make up to 100,000 naira per week, some per day even, when they've settled all bills, they cart home at least 2 million naira quarterly.

Seun, Linda Ikeji and co didn't make their money abroad. Banky W, tiwa Savage, seyi shay, Don Jazzy had to leave foreign lands to come and make money here. You never ask those oness wey go come back wetin make them return, you wan go.

I wish you adieu and make sure some red-neck racist c?nt doesnkt end you while you're hustling there
First of, use your real face in your profile pic and we'll take you serious. I bet your hungry looking, rough looking face won't let you do that.

Second, Why are the only "successful" people both of you mentioned in the entertainment Industry? What happened to technology? Science? etc Oh thats true, your country is too messed up to provide advancements like that.

Sanchez01: Few days ago, while I went for a haircut at a salon, my baby sister called to tell me of one of her friends who had sold all his properties to travel abroad, all in a bid to make it big. According to my baby sis, he had planned on going to Spain but failed after the boat he boarded capsized somewhere in Algeria or Morocco.
So a man with a lot of Properties---instead of using it as proof of ties to his country at the Embassy then traveling respectably---- sold it all and boarded a makeshift boat heading to Europe in a move that could've cost him his life?

Why do I smell major bullshit in this part of your story?

SmellMyFart: True talk. Ibos are peaceful and fun to be with. I'm a yoruba but having lived in an ibo dominated environment, i've come to understand that ibos are undisputably the most peaceful tribe in Nigeria. I wish I were an Ibo cry
When you idiots come on here spewing lies and trying to cause confusion you forget your previous words. Anyway, below is your post from September 21st:

SmellMyFart: yea. I'm tired of these my WASTERN brothers. Always making the IGBOS look sincere. Funny how they attributed sincerity in this case, to igbos rather than the actual tribe, Ibibio

Boko Haram is your creation, deal with it. Believe me on this, if we were to reveal all we know on the sect your country will be on fire within 24hrs. Have you noticed that since your Chief Pastor and President were exposed in South Africa--- and the distraction bomb they set off in Kano the next day--- that Boko Haram bombings have been virtually non existent? Now, you tell me who is behind it.

Amya: You're one of those. Those who think trying all they can to cling to someone else's country make them lesser lesser part of their own country.

But whether you like your or not, you're a Nigerian, From Nigeria! Live all your life In good roads and electricity and it doesn't take the fact that you're identified as a Nigerian. You can't run away from that bro. My bad road rubs off on you even though you're thousands of miles away. My lack of electricity rubs off on you. My poverty rubs off on you. I'm sure the American friends smile patronisingly at you when Africa's is on the news again. oh, they'll think at least we saved this one. we helped this one. He would have been in some jungle with animals if we hadn't accepted him here, given him a job and a decent life.

My friend, what you don't know is you'll never be one of them! Your children will never be accepted! your ancestry is tainted. Try as hard as you might, you can't stop being a Nigeria. If your friends make a bad comment about Nigeria, the comment is about you.

The PDP goons will come at buhari with a vengeance and publicly humiliate him for every wrong pronunciation he will inevitably make.

idumuose: Have you ever heard Buhari speak in english with his fulani accent?grin gringrin.

A very poorly spoken english with a fulani accent will never sound very pleasant to the ears.

Here is a man who wants to aspire to be the President of the most populous black nation on
Earth, yet he cannot pronounce the word "the" properly ,instead he pronounces it as "ze"grin gringrin, "fifty" as "pipty".

Buhari cannot even pronounce Nigeria properly,a country he aspires to rule.
He pronounces Nigeria as Neeje - Areagrin gringrin. The funniest part is the way he pronounces "country".Somebody
should please help me to pronounce "country" as Buhari would please.I want to explode with laughtergrin gringrin

Being a Fulani is not an excuse.Let him go and learn how to blend English with Fulani accent properly from
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the emir of Kano,Buba Marwa,Afterall, they are all Fulani.
I have had an opportunity to sit and discuss with both men, Buhari since way back in the 70's and I can authoritatively tell you this: BUHARI IS BETTER VERSED, AND WAY MORE ARTICULATE, IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE THAN GEJ.

Till this day, I still doubt that Gej has a PhD. At least not one he didn't earn through the "Normal Nigerian Way" in which bribes were involved.
