Politics › Re: The Fear Of Buhari Is The Begining Of Wisdom For Corrupt Politicians. by ISpiksDaTroof:
rudedough:
As much as we want an incorruptible President, i don't think Buhari can do much in the fight against corruption. Why? Because we are not in the military era where judgement is served without trial. In a democracy Buhari will be frustrated by the judiciary's lacadestic approach to prosecuting corrupt politicians.

What is he going to do about the corrupt EFCC, Police, Judges? What about the intelligent lawyers, partisan press and readily available supporters that would stage a nationwide protest? What's Buhari going to do? Ask the military to whip protesting civilians like he did in 1983? Or is he going to muzzle the press once again? Or will he arrest and jail intelligent lawyers who're most likely to defend corrupt politicians in court? What is he going to do about these bottle-necks exactly?

Let's face it, the system is very corrupt and complicated and Buhari can't do much. I still will like to see him perform his magic however.
The system is corrupt because there's a crook at the helm, he is leading by example and that'd what the rest of the Govt/country is following. Put a clean man in charge and once he starts leading by example the rest of the country will follow.

A father acts the way he wants his kids to behave. Gej is a bad father for the country of Nigeria.

I'm surprised a bomb blast hasn't occurred yet to distract everyone's attention. Then again it usually happens a day after the incident they're trying to distract everyone from. So, I guess they're still mixing the bomb making ingredients and we should be hearing news of havoc in a Northern state soonest....

In other not to act stupid it is advisable that you verify and understand the real situation of things before you comment. Cerberus Risk Solutions, is an arms broker in Cape Town, registered as a broker with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee, but unknown to Nigeria the registration expired in May this year. it was during the process of transferring the $5.7m (R64m) back to Nigeria that the NPA’s Asset Forfeiture Unit of SA government seize the money. ................From a very reliable source
who's the "reliable source"? The guy that paid you $50 on behalf of the Govt to come online and sell your destiny for chump change while they play with Private Jets and Hundreds of Millions of Dollars?

Nope. Shock does not explain the victim giving an interview or speech to the camera in a very calm manner. My guess is either they do cooperate for a chance, even a slim chance of being spared, or they do it to avoid torture or other worse form of slow terrible death - like being buried alive.
Usually, if you have no idea what you're talking about its best to keep quiet.

Politics › Re: Igbos Jonathan And 2015 by ISpiksDaTroof:

For real?

Always on time with same old outdated line. If Igbos so much despised Yorubas, Muslims, and Northerners, like you claimed, how come none of the group you mentioned above never get killed or maimed in Igboland?

Contrast that with the amount of Igbo blood and/or non-hausa/Fulani blood spilled across the length and breadth of implacable Muslim north. When you're done with the blood-spilling book-keeping tell us who's the king of hate.

One more thing: You have Nigeria why don't you stop worrying about Biafra. Its ludicrous and plain stupid to be worried about something your fathers pronounced dead over 40 years ago, especially now that you and your siblings up north just discovered a knack for a return to caliphate, sharia, and beheading of Nigerian pilots.

Anyways, don't forget to say no thanks to Shekau for me when next you all meet for caliphate appraisal.
See your diatribe? Automatically you assume I have to belong to one of those tribes. Your action above automatically showed your heart's thoughts. I did not say Hausas and Yorubas don't dislike Ibos in return, my overall point is that Ibos support GEJ because of their hatred and dislike for those two groups.

You can get upset all you want but you and I know that all I've spoken are facts.
Politics › Re: Igbos Jonathan And 2015 by ISpiksDaTroof: 9:00pm On Oct 05, 2014
obailala:
This is something that I really do not understand. I keep trying to wonder how Igbos were bought over. There is absolutely no rationale behind the massive support Igbos have shown to Jonathan. Even the core Niger Deltans (inclusive of fellow Ijaws) don't show the same level of blind support for GEJ.

This is another myopic reasoning that could be cited as a reason why Igbos should support GEJ. A smart observation of the Nigerian landscape ince 2010 would reveal that the influx of private jets and massive wealth (albeit through illegal means) is not restricted to any section of the country. Since his rise to power, GEJ opened the floodgates of our national treasury and everybody irrespective of tribe, religion or ethnicity has gained from the free for all plundering exercise being supervised by GEJ himself. It would be very myopic for anyone to think that any particular section of the country is gaining more under this regime.

To round it up, I really cannot place my hands on why Igbos have decided to worship GEJ; the more I try to figure it out, the more I sink into deeper confusion. @Op, I would however warn you to be ready for a backlash from people who think they are more Igbo than you are; from people who cannot tolerate any Igbo son thinking differently or thinking out of the box. Be prepared to be labelled an efulefu and a hungry APC agent.
Call a spade a spade and stop trying to be politically correct in the face of the truth. Ibos hate Muslims, Yorubas and Northerners--- these are the groups they feel are stopping them from getting Biafra, or at the very least, be in total control of Nigeria. So, to Ibos, anything to spite the above people is worth it. And if support of a corrupt, inept, sheep in the Person of Goodluck Jonathan is what can give them their pound of flesh, then, so be it.

Degrade/destroy Boko Haram n Shekau will die,it's as simple as that. Not rocket science
Well for that to happen, for one, your President will have to stop stealing your money and flying it to South Africa (and other countries) because you need money to prosecute this war.

Oh, I forgot, your President also has a hand in a faction of "Boko Haram", pardon me. You can carry on now.

It is ironic. This is the same way they themselves keep chanting 'it's a religion of peace' and at the same time they are pointing daggers to people's heart and blowing up places. It's a difficult task to try to convince anyone otherwise.

There must be a flaw in either the doctrines of the religion or the way the doctrines are being presented by the islamic teachers. Why are most terrorist acts linked with islam? Why do we rarely see people of other religions perpetrating acts of terror in the name of god? So the fact remains that it is a good breeding ground for terrorism.

Make a region unstable and that's exactly what you get. For the last 15yrs Christian Militias have been killing Muslims in the Central African Republic, you don't hear about this in the media. Nor do you hear about the crazy rebel Christian groups like Lord's Resistance Army.

egift: Here what OBJ has to say of Buhari:

"Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the SMC & as the head of the petroleum dept was by nature taciturn & introvert. But he took any work given to him very seriously & if he failed at whatever he did, it would not be because he did not put his best, in fact, his very best. He was as reliable as he was hard working & honest"
– Olusegun Obasanjo ("Not My Will", University Press Ltd., Ibadan, 1990, Pg 59)
Meaning OBJ could be on his way to Prison if Buhari wins?

Yeah, I think I agree that OBJ will never want Buhari as President.
Politics › Re: OBJ, Tinubu, Ladoja In Secret Meetings by ISpiksDaTroof: 6:18am On Oct 04, 2014
egift: OBJ is more interested in what becomes his legacy. You never can tell. Also Jonathan refused to listen to advise - OBJ never anticipated the volume of insults he got when he tried to help Jonathan navigate the difficulties he saw coming (which was largely people around GEJ bringing him trouble).
Still, he'd rather a GEJ Presidency than a Buhari one.
