I beg make person hear word.l doubt if u ever participated in the Nysc or your close relations did.if u did, then u would know the scheme has nothing deserving in it.A whole one year of wasteful experiences. Some fresh graduates who would have bring about a revolution in governace, agric sci, econmics, technology etc are been expose to gainless experience for a year.
What good has the DG donehuhthat u are here supporting himhuhask anyone who have done the Nysc before, most especially in recent times and u will be shocked at such discouraging comments u will hear. Its as bad as some people losting their lives in the process and the heavy knowledge acquired at the higher institution is wasted.
How much are these corp members being paidhuhits the officials that get all the monetary benefits.Even the on going election pay to the corp members is not being ascertained and some died as a result of wanting to participate in the election exercise and the Nysc DG is claiming no serving corp members lives were lost.
mr youth service, im sure only ur generatn hs been attending youth service. So because u graduated in zoology nd were expecting 2 b posted 2 a bank bt u got a a teaching job at d zoo, evry1 is like u? Yes, it might hv been a stressful period, bt it was worth experiencing. Besides, if u read my post wt evn half of one ur decomposing eyes closed, u wld hv seen that i was talking about d D.G nd not d scheme itself.

well whatever the case,

That Cow meat and N3,000 is still in my memory!!

And why is this Tsiga still in power

He has been there for more than 5 years

does the D-G of NYSC have to be a one man post for years

What kind of country is this

Anyway the dude gave us 11 cows and N3,000 which the NYSC staffs shared amongst themselves 09 section in abuja

But he still has to go, He has tried
i was going 2 blast u until i saw ur last sentence. Tsiga has been d face of d NYSC 4 a long time. He has neva failed 2 defend corps member evn wen they were probably wrong. He is well luvd by corpers, present nd past. If a poll is done, corpers wil vote 4 him 2 stay 95:5. Besides, they cld nt authenticate d case against him. He said no 'serving corper' lost his life. Inevitably, maybe pple who'v jst passed out did. 190, u almst 4al my hand.

Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by isquar3d3(m): 3:31pm On Apr 11, 2011
guys, lets get our facts right. Gbagbo has been captured, yes bt he is under d custody of d UN. He's been taken 2 a certain golf hotel where Ouatarra's forces surround bt d UN has said that he is under their(UN) protection. It means evn though he might have been captured, no one can touch him, 4 now.

Everyone seems satisfied and PDP from all news is losing massively in both south-west and the North. I just heard on saharareporters livestream that PDP lost in Obasanjo's ward

mehn results r trickling in. ACN seems 2 b hvin a gud run. Cn u bliv dat in 1 polling centre in lagos here, apga and acn actually tied wit 26 votes apiece. A pollin centre in anambra where ngige nd dora r sluggin it out, acn hd 4
votes nd no oda party had a single vote. Im followin via twitter.
PoliticsRe: Still On Buhari, Perhaps Prof. Wole Soyinka Is Mad! by isquar3d3(m): 3:54pm On Apr 07, 2011
Godman_n:
But I hold him guilty of refusing to critisize Obasanjo when he was buldozing us. I guess he had a serious soft spot for him.
What is this? Soyinka refused 2 critisize OBJ? Where were u d 8 years of OBJ's administratn where he nd d prof were at loggerheads 4 evry single day of that administratn? Evn the late Stella had 2 go nd beg Soyinka to reconcile wit him. Up till 2moro, they r stil at war.
PoliticsRe: Is Fashola Finally Exiting Acn For Labour Party ? I Received Text Messages That Indicate He Is. by isquar3d3(m): 3:41pm On Apr 07, 2011
This same Labour party that could not afford to keep Dele Momodu as their presidential candidate because they did nt hv money? So they hv money 2 carry out all these propaganda. Oh, i know dt bulk sms is cheap bt wat about all those adverts in papers, all those posters i see around lagos mainland,
Mehn, ds is d voice of Jacob bt d hand of Esau. It has PDP written all over it. D only Labour party aspirant i know in Lagos is one Dapo Durosimi Etti who is contesting against Tinubu's wife. All of a sudden, THE PUNCH has a full page advert of hs campaign everyday 4 sm few days nw. Neva saw it b4 nw. Na so me i go jus dey siddon look 4 here until bush meat and hunter start to dey catch each other.

Pro Anti:
The problem with the Nigerian case is that the elite places corruption over and above productivity.

Focusing on corruption would lead us no where.
Kobojunkie:
so yes, the man believes Corruption is PART of the problem that needs to be tackled.

You are on your own there when you claim that focusing on corruption would lead no where . . . matter of fact, I think that is morose thinking from anyone who knows the entity called Nigeria! grin grin grin
kobojunkie, frm a perspective, u'r right bt i think wt d guy's trying 2 say is dt FOCUSING solely on it won't help Nigeria as a nation. There r oda areas dt need healing too.
PoliticsRe: National Assembly Election to hold on Saturday: Postponed in some areas by isquar3d3(m): 3:01pm On Apr 07, 2011
oh no! I sincerely hope it's nt true. If ds is true, I trust nigerians, they'l curse Jega thoroughly bt they'l stil cut him some slack. His burial wil be if afta all ds postponements, he doesn't gv us a free, fair nd credible electn. Goofluck.
PoliticsRe: Soyinka On Al-jazeera 6/4/2011 "pdp Has Nothing Left To Offer Nigeria'' by isquar3d3(m): 2:15pm On Apr 07, 2011
^^^yeah. I watchd d interview too nd d Prof. made it abundantly clear that whilst he is against d PDP continuing in power, Ribadu is d candidate he is supporting. He laid out reasons y he's out 4 Ribadu. Riz Khan even introduced him as 'the face of pro democracy activism in nigeria'

PoliticsRe: Lagosians: Tell Us Who You Are Voting For As President by isquar3d3(m): 11:43am On Apr 06, 2011
Hmm. Doing a poll on Nairaland is like doin' a poll in a classroom. Pple get influenced by wat odas say. My pple, mark my words: 60% of voters will STILL vote along party lines. Evry1's is saying BB bt let me tell u, at d end of d vote in Lagos, BB wil come a distant 3rd. Like it or nt, Lagos wil either be gej's or Ribadu's. Ribadu bein' more likely. Dn't crucify me yet. Remember Atiku in '07. Keep on dreaming, guys. Market men nd women, technicians, traders, jobless pple, they'r goin 2 form majority of d pple voting nd d only thng they know is dt Fashola is in ACN, so, they'l vote them all thru. As 4 us, d youths, our votes wil b split unevenly btw d 3 guys bt it wil nt b enof 2 swing it in jst one candidate's favour. Y? because it wil b split! Evn tho we constitute a large % of d voters, we r nt united! Goofluck 2 u all.
PoliticsRe: Report Here On National Assembly Elections: 2nd April, 2011 by isquar3d3(m): 4:51pm On Apr 01, 2011
Lasgidi is 4 ACN. Swift nd simple. In my constituency here, d way Ashafa has been campaigning, he might end up having more votes than GEJ wil have on his own electn day. Jst kiddin' though. Having said dt, his campaign has been vigorous nd i barely know hs opponents. Oh, i think i know a certain Bode of d PDP bt he doesn't evn stand a chance. I dn't want 2 speculate on y Mamora was dropped 4 him(mamora did endorse him though) bt i know he already has one foot in d Senate chambers already. As 4 d house of reps, Abike Dabiri is certainly getting her seat back.
