PHIPEX:

1. If you make it compulsory the political parties must change their own constitutions to reflect it. This will take over a year to happen and undermine 2023 election
2. It has never stopped electoral fraud, eg Anambra APC primary election
3. INEC does not have the fund to conduct such across the country for over 80political parties
4. The parties don't have a reliable register of members, every tom dick and harry can still claim membership and vote
5. Anyone with enough money power can still bribe his way through and win. The biggest money power wins.
6. The countries we are emulating are yet to make it compulsory because they know the challenges involved.
Hmmmm... A lot seems off with all of this really.
1. How and what do u think they can change in the party constitution to manipulate it

2. Please don't use Nigeria as a case study

3. Inec funds? Or you really mean Nigeria does not have enough to fund direct primaries

4. Talking of bribe: Don't you think it will cost even more to bribe ur through in a direct primary than an indirect primary where u only av a few people to convince
5. Please mention the contries we are trying to emulate then we can proceed with the argument from there.

Family / Re: Why Are Guys Not Getting Married? by Israeljones(m): 9:53am On May 04, 2021
A Lot of Factors for different folks determine whether or not a guy really wants 2 get married..
But one major factor I know is Fear of the Unknown the guy doesnt necessarily need to be rich...
But the idea of delving into a life contract and having the mindset of catering well for the family goes a long way.... Even you asking this question can never tolerate a husband who has no source of stable income for a long period of the marriage....
ITS A FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN... TRUSTME!

One Man Business...
A school in Ogun state and i reside in lag..
proposed a mere sum of 50k to the dubious owner... He accepted.
Time to pay for the 1st month salary, I was told the owner will be deducting 0ne-3rd of my salary for three months starting from the 1st month.. LTF!.... Considering i had to incure #800 transport expenses every day..
The evil owner still had the guts of witholding my salary for 2months for not coming for just one day...
The day he managed to pay I left the job without even looking bk.... Since then the man has been threatening me with police for leaving without notice....
One man biz... These owners are nothing but evils

Business / Re: Tax In Nigeria: How Is It Calculated? by Israeljones(m): 8:02pm On Jan 17, 2021
gendebs:

PAYE is a progressive tax. The rate is not fixed, the higher you earn the more the tax you are paying.

Also, they are statutory deductions(PENSION, INSURANCE, NHF etc) that is deducted from taxable income of the tax payer.

so there is no fix rate to charge.... Like u said the higher the salary the higher the tax... i just want to know the statutory percentage charged

Different tax summaries and narration.

Let me help you out

Tax is collected monthly or annually
Monthly Tax you are subjected to are PAYE and VAT

VAT is subjected to be tax at 7.5% of invoice or quoted price if the business meets N25,000,000 turnover threshold. It's also know as consumption tax. Thou, some service and goods are exempted or waived from paying VAT irrespective of the business turnover. It's remitted to FIRS

PAYE is know as pay as you earn. The higher your earnings the higher your tax but from January 31st, employee that earns less than N30,000 monthly are exempted from this tax. It's remitted to the state internal revenue of your resident.

CIT also is subjected to 20% of profit (turnover less Cost of sales and expenses) if the business meets N25,000,000 naira threshold and 30% of profit if the business meets N100,000,000 and above threshold.

U can check my signature if you need further clarification
What rate do you feel is best taxable or charged on Monthly salary of 50k upwards because i know The PAYE varies..

I'm still wondering why they are focusing on the chat as if it was the chat that trigger her to collect the money from guy's mum. Most guys in his shoes will react the same way he did because what she did was disgusting. The money is not the problem, but that gesture would go a long way in the relationship and would just be her own little way she could appreciate what the guy has done for her because the guy is not her father, he's her benefactor. What the guy is doing for her is privilege, not her right. And a guy that can buy her a phone, buy clothes for her, pay half of her shop rent, there are still a whole lot of things she can still benefit from him, which is going to be 20 times more than what she collected from the guy's mum.

You know, ladies don't care about what has happened in the past and what's going to happen in future, all they care about is the present.
When she finally ends up with someone that treats her like trash, "men are scum will be her motto.
Abi oooo Help me them ooo

Just imagine how some guys here are defending the girl just to look cool perhaps to ladies who might be reading....

I can bet most of this guys cant even do half what that guy has done for the girl but they will come on faceless forum like this to churn out opinion exactly opposite to their type of person...

Why on earth would a lady not be smart in such situation.... reject the money from the mother, she might end up forcing her to collect the money and if she doesnt do that, You can ask the money from the guy... how difficult can this be, Just a little compromise would have gone a long way... it might even be a catalyst that speeds up there relationship into marriage..
