Ngwakwe: Out of hatred and truiphantism, you just compared independent countries with occupied South East, Nigeria (Biafra). I will ignore your meaningless word ^^^,but hatred? I have no hatred for Ibo people, rather like a lot of folks, I am shocked that they have not transferred the ingenuity, industry and commercial acumen that they themselves boast of to their own region. As an Ibo man/woman, dont you find it hypocritical that Ibos are doing well in the primary sector all across the nation and yet the effects of this success is noticeably missing in their own region? Can you stop your usual defensive attitude by beclouding my reference to Japan and Germany. The SE which consists of the now dead Biafra has had a lot of opportunities to develop their region given the fact that they have received trillions in government allocations, what have your leaders done with these allocations? The Basque region of Spain have fought for independence for centuries and despite the fact that their quest for independence is still ongoing, it has not stopped the development of their region. You keep coming with these ridiculous stories about the SW and the North stifling your progress, please give it a rest! Ibo men and women have headed major ministries and Quangos in Nigeria over the years, they have occupied positions from Ministers to Perm Secs - what benefit has your region gained from them? Individualism is a philosophy engrained in your region, hence an Ibo man in a position of authority will attempt to enrich himself, his "nuclear" family without thinking of his kinsmen. There are Eze Ndigbos in every state in Nigeria because your people would rather sell second hand generators and spare parts to make quick money instead of asking key questions from your leaders. Orji Kalu enriched himself for life because of his position as governor of Abia state and yet he is referred to as an Ibo entrepreneur, Peter Obi has just finished his own 8 years of ensuring that his children will never suffer but I bet he will be rewarded with a major chieftaincy title while the roads in Anambra are still impassable. Your leaders have cultivated in you an attitude of blaming all your underdevelopment on others and it is working. You all leave your lands that are generally not suitable for human habitation and complain about the SW, the same region where you have all migrated to. 16 Likes |

ngozievergreen: Usual obfuscation by Madam/Mr? Ngozie. His post is clear enough and so is the title of the thread, if you feel any different and you dont agree with his summation, why dont you provide proof that the SE is not a basket case despite all the FG allocations over the last 50 years. Afam is bringing up an issue that most of you fail to discuss; you would rather bask in your myopic, individualistic, paranoid bubble rather than face the facts! There must be something inherently wrong in Alaibo when most of your able-bodied men decide that they have to leave their own land to prosper in life. I am tired of listening to lectures about the civil war- it is getting boring. The real "Japan" has transformed their country from the ruins of war to a technologically advanced country; Germany has risen from the ashes of the 1st and 2nd world Wars to be a power both economically and politically. The Failed Biafra state-currently the SE of Nigeria is still in a shambolic state in terms of infrastructure and overall development despite trillions of Nigerian funds allocated to your states. 5 Likes |
Politics / Re: "Why Northern Leaders Sneaked Yar’Adua Into Nigeria Without Telling Jonathan" by Italiano1: 7:18pm On Nov 23, 2013 |
Rubbish! GEJ must be even more morbidly imbecilic than I thought if he didn't realize that Yardua had passed away or that his body was in Nigeria. He was the V.P and would have been briefed or he would have heard snippets of the event. Of course he knew everything but was just too cowardly to engage in a battle with Turai, hence why he waited for Wole Soyinka to campaign on his behalf. Anyone who thinks they have a strong, determined President is in denial. 2 Likes |

django1: An unsually honest post from afam4ever, this cannot end well. I foresee this thread in the ethnic section. Afam is very proud of his Ibo heritage but he is one of the few that is asking the key questions; it will be a big mistake if it ends in the ethnic section. |
Politics / Re: The Dearth Of Development In The South-east by Italiano1: 6:13pm On Nov 23, 2013 |
Afam4eva: Now this is a thinking Ibo man. The SE will start to progress when there is a reduction in migration to other parts of Nigeria and more importantly when they shun individualism and learn to hold their leaders to account. Orji Kalu is an Ibo hero despite the fact that he left Abia in a pathetic state. He built a 100 room mansion in his village even when the roads that lead to it are virtually impassable. 5 Likes |

PHIPEX: So are you conceding that I did not say the things you mentioned in your post? They are content with and endorse an election that was full of irregularities as long as the outcome did not favour the contestant from the ofen.manu party dominated by Awolowo supporters. Is that not self explanatory enough for you? It is clear that the election was fraught with various malpractices, irregularities and was fundamentally flawed, however, as Chief Arthur Eze indicated in his campaign for the PDP, Ibos should not vote for the APC because it is Awolowo's Party. Despite the apparent inconsistencies, the election has been welcomed by the majority of Anabrians, the few Ibo men and women who protested were quickly labeled as touts from Osun state. Personally, I did not support any of the candidates. My interest is how elections are contested and won in Anambra state in 2013 which is the subject of this thread. 1 Like |

PHIPEX: I am shocked at how a grown man can completely mis-interprete my post and ascribe his own meaning to it. 1. Show me where I told you who to vote for? 2. Show me where I stated that Ngige is a better man for the job? This is a typical post that exemplifies the lack of comprehension by Nigerians; you just went on a rant about things I neither explicitly stated or implicitly implied. 2 Likes |
