But why are these rebels killing Nigerians over there? |
Gaddafi men in Nigeria. Wow, what an interesting story. ![]() |
Tjluv:Honestly, he shd try doing something no matter how little it is. |
My question is 'how did he get the acidic substance inside the prison?' |
Again and again….check out Muammar Gaddafi leadership in libya. 1. there was no electricity bill in libya; electricity was free for all its citizens.2. there was no interest on loans, banks in libya are state-owned and loans are given to all citizens at 0% interest by law.3. home considered a human right in libya- gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in libya had a home.gaddafi father has died while him, his wife and mother are still living in a tent.4. all newly weds in libya receive $60,000 Dinar {US$50,000} by the government so to help start up the family.5. education and medical treatments are free in libya. Before gaddafi only 25% of Libyans are literate, today the figure is 83%.6. should Libyan want to take up farming career, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestocks to kick-start their farms- all for free.7. if Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it- not only free but they get US$2,300/MONTH accommodation and car allowance.8. in Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.9. the price of petrol in libya is $0.14 {N22} per litre.10. libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion- now frozen globally.11. if a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.12. a portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.13. a mother who gave birth to a child receive US$5,000.14. GADDAFI CARRIED OUT THE WORLD’S largest irrigation project, known as man-made river project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country. Question……, so what’s the problem? The long rule? Don’t you think we need Gaddafi in Nigeria to come and rule for 50 years? We needs Gaddafi |

Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environment and Offences (Enforcement) Unit have swooped on Marijuana sellers and smokers in Oshodi area of Lagos, South West Nigeria and arrested 29 of them. This is in a bid to rid the state of criminal elements in the face of growing insecurity in the country. The taskforce officials, who were well armed, stormed Oshodi yesterday afternoon and swooped on Indian hemp dealers and impounded large quantities of the drugs and hauled them inside the Black Maria with the dealers. The taskforce, which acted on a tip off, stormed the area and raided the hideout of the hemp dealers and smokers, while the ages of those arrested ranged between 14 and 39 years. When contacted on phone, the Taskforce Chairman, Supol. Bayo Sulaiman, told P.M.NEWS that the taskforce would continue to clampdown on hemp smokers and sellers, saying that government would not be tired of getting rid of criminal elements from the society. He said hoodlums and others wanted to return to make Oshodi what it used to be but noted that the government would not allow that to happen, adding that “we will continue to arrest them.” http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/09/07/lagos-taskforce-arrests-29-marijuana-sellers-in-oshodi/ |
A Lagos landlord, Nurudeen Ogunade of 3, Alhaji Saka Street, Ilasamaja, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, may be putting to test the newly signed tenancy law when he ejected 18 tenants yesterday with the aid of thugs and hoodlums. One of the tenants, Mrs. Mosunmola Adagunduro, a trader who raised the alarm, said she was at Oshodi when someone informed her that thugs, hoodlums and fake policemen were at her residence in an apparent move to eject all the tenants in the 18-room storey building. “I had to abandon what I was doing at Oshodi market and rushed home. I met other tenants outside the house, their properties and mine have already been vandalised by the thugs,” Mrs. Adagunduro told P.M.NEWS this morning. According to her, items lost to hoodlums include jewellery, clothes, phones, laptop, a travelling bag and N500,000 cash her children gave to her to rent another house. Other tenants in the house also claimed they lost sums of money ranging from N115,000 to N1.2 million to the invaders. A widow, Mrs. Anike Adegoke, said the N1.2 million was donated to her to complete her husband’s building when he died a few months ago. The total money lost to the thugs was N3.9 million, according to claims the tenants made at the Area ‘D’ Police Headquarters, Mushin, Lagos, where the matter was reported. Narrating her ordeal to P.M.NEWS, Mrs. Adegoke said she was in the room when the thugs rushed in, threatened to break her head with a hammer after which they bundled her out of the room. She said: “They claimed they were from Alausa with an instruction from Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola to demolish the house.” The landlord, Nurudeen Ogunade, was promptly arrested and detained at the police headquarters. The investigating police officer, simply called Corporal Emeka, said the landlord claimed those who carried out the demolition were from Alausa secretariat, Ikeja and that the state governor was aware of the exercise. Meanwhile, Ogunade was still with the police as at press time this afternoon. http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/09/07/landlord-tests-lagos-tenancy-law-ejects-18-tenants/ |
Tomorrow is the World Literacy Day worldwide, a day the UNESCO celebrates to draw attention to the status of literacy and adult learning globally. •Orelope-Adefulire, Lagos Deputy Gov. In Lagos State, the day will be marked with a target to break the Guinness World Records. The attempt to break the record will happen at an event in which the Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, will lead over 4,000 school children to read a book jointly. The event will hold at 10 Degree Events on Billingsway Road, Oregun, Ikeja, from 9 a.m. Organised by Ecole de Dessin in conjunction with the Lagos State Government, the Big Read will attract a galaxy of celebrities and many school children. The record for “Most Children Reading With An Adult In A Single Location,” was first set by 3,032 children of the Kindergarten Status School at Global Village in Dubai on 12 November, 2008. On Thursday, 4 March, 2010, the Islamic Forum Charity in the UK also assembled 3,234 children to take part in a Big Reading Session. The event took place at East London Muslim Centre. Lagos hopes to raise the bar tomorrow. A sobering reality facing UNESCO on each World Literacy Day is that achieving 100 per cent literacy worldwide remains an elusive target as over a billion people lack minimum literacy skills worldwide. http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/09/07/lagos-deputy-gov-set-for-world-record/ |

The new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig. General Nnamdi Okorie-Affia, assumed duty on Tuesday as the 15th chief executive of the 38-year-old body. Okorie-Affia took over the mantle of leadership from Brig-General Maharazu Tsiga who is proceeding on retirement. At a brief ceremony held at the National Headquarters of the NYSC, the new DG assured the management and members of staff of the corps of his commitment to building on the successes of his predecessor. Earlier, the out-going DG, said he was happy that he was leaving behind well motivated members of staff and corps members who were ready to contribute their quota to national development. He said his two years and eight months tenure recorded modest achievements including the pivotal role played by corps members in the success of the voter registration as well as the 2011 general elections. He said, “Looking back at the last two years and eight months, I am delighted to note with satisfaction some of the modest achievements recorded in the period of my administration as director-general to successful participation of corps members and NYSC staff in the conduct of the 2011 general elections widely acclaimed to be credible, free and fair.” He also mentioned the upward review of the monthly allowance of corps members from N9,725 to N19,800.
