The staff (drivers and ticketers) of the blue BRT network in Lagos have embarked on a strike today (10/07/2017). The blue BRT covers the Ikorodu-TBS route with three categories of tickets that recently all had an increase range of 42-53% (#70 -> #100, #120 -> #200, #195 -> #300) effective as of March 1,2017.

The cause of this strike remains unknown. Many commuters are stranded at bus stations and the alternative means of transport (Danfo buses) are having a busy day on the traffic-laden route.
