It is best you keep to the 600cc if you are just starting to ride. The R1 is 1000cc and no jokes about the torque. You can also try the R6. Ride safe.

Not all clubs are registered with ANMC due to the stringent but necessary registration prerequisites due to this and many more there are a lot of lone rangers who happens to also at times participate in ANMC organised events.
I am a lone ranger although I know about 6 other bikes within my localty in Abeokuta, Ogun state. No thanks to ego tripping and some factors we couldnt go around to having an ANMC standard club. I am the newest entrant into the bikers world but I could see the lack of cohesion among them.
Club or no club, intending bikers shouldnt be discouraged but its far more better you have a 'family/club' you can affiliate with. I will really like to be associated with a decent club but until then, we go still dey manage our scattered brotherhood.

I've ridden with a couple of clubs and they have all been very welcoming and accommodating. I don't see it as a scattered brotherhood though. With time, the bond will get stronger. My advice is for you to meet with two or three of the fellow bikers in your area. You don't have to initiate the idea of a club if that is what they are avoiding. Just meet with them as friends and decide to ride to places together.With time, more people will want to ride along with you.

You should know this: "FRIENDS THAT RIDE TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER".

Not all clubs are registered with the ANMC (Association of Nigerian Motorcycle Clubs) and definitely, new clubs would be on the rise at a rate yet unknown.
In lagos, here are some of the clubs in no preferential order :
-Easy Riders mc
-Stalwart mc
-Wheelers mc
-D'angels mc (all females)
-Ride easy mc
-Good fellas mc
-514 ryders mc
-Eagles mc
-Bikerzdenn mc

There are also other clubs outside lagos but I don't know them all
-Steel knights mc (ibadan)
-09 bikers mc (abuja)
-Capital city mc (abuja)
-Hard ridaz mc (port harcourt)
-Warriors mc (warri, delta)
-Roc wheels mc (delta; not sure they still exist)
-Jewels mc (gombe)
-D'Millenials mc (akwa ibom)
-Golden horse mc (not sure of location)
-Tinapa bikers mc (calabar)
-Peace riders mc (jos)
-Infinite riders mc (kaduna)
-Spirit on wheels mc (abuja)

There could still be more but these are the ones I know.

And finally, we have the lone rangers (they belong to no clubs because some prefer to ride alone or circumstances make them clubless[such as no clubs in their areas])
