Hello people. Please I will like the house or matured people here to help me on this issue. Must a guy who is working and lives on his own be married before he is said to be responsible?

I got a job sometime last 2yrs. A job that pays over #100k a month. And the typical me an not comfortable yet with it cos that's not where I see myself ending up.

The thing is, everyone, my colleagues, parents, friends, even enemies are of the view that I should go and get married. Am in my late twenties. 28 to be precise. To me its not the first or even among the first ten things on my mind. But believe u me, my parent are on my case. The worst is their is this single colleague of mine that has sworn to make the office unbearable for me. She's single oooooo hmmmm.

I once engaged her in an argument and she told me that I should get married no matter what. I said even if am not mentally ready. And my salary can't take care of me not to talk of another. She said that is why I should get married so I will understand life, that I and my wife will suffer it together.

I feel that wickedness. Why would u force people to get married when they tell u they aren't ready. We still mount pressure on them. The other day my mum got a girl's number for me. She's a medical doctor. But I don't care. I am not ready to

What pained me the most is if u tell them do they want to see u suffering with your wife and maybe children till u stabilise. You hear them say, that's the right thing that it happens. That it makes u a man?

Also they are of the view that am irresponsible since an not married. That marriage is the only thing that makes a man responsible. Please who propounded this theory?
Please nairalanders help me cos even in that my office its now like a competition, every young man there is getting married this year. And u look like a judas. Though I wanna get married when I get to 30.

Cos sometimes it seems the burden on us is too much that it will break us and there is no hope. Then miraculously you see everything sorting itself out like it's a program. It's not easy to have two people of different family background and upbringing agree to be together be it in a relationship or marriage.

The differences, the challenges, the set ups, the betrayal by friends, but GOD still keeps us going and growing stronger.
To all those out there still finding it difficult to get a lady or a guy to call their own or be with for ever. Pray over it and know that none is perfect and neither are u. Have an open mind. Cheer up and keep a smiling face. Don't look down on people cos of the condition they are in cos u never know who will be the right person.

With the recent development that there has been a case of confirmed EVD or the Ebola virus disease in the United States, I think the Nigerian government should stop planes coming from the United States to Nigeria and if they are to be allowed entrance into thus great nation they have to undergo series of tests and checkups to make sure they don't bring this deadly disease to our great and beloved nation Nigeria.
Just like their man Donald trump said about Nigeria, I think we should stop all their expatriates or business men who are coming into Nigeria and thoroughly check them. Or even if possible ban them from visiting especially the ones from the affected areas like their state of texas.

They think they are the only ones that can ban people or protect their citizens. Rubbish!!!

Pls mods, can u help delete this thread or topic I created it and I duplicated cos of network problem. Pls kindly help me dete it. It was initially a thread for women and how they shld behave to show a man who wants to marry them that they are really a wife material.

A guy would know you are a wife material not because you come to his house and work your ass off, but because when he calls you and ask about your day, you tell him about your chores and stuff, when he comes to your house you are either busy with one thing or the other and everything is in place. If he goes into your toilet its extremely neat. If he eats your food its delicious, if you see your mum with a broom or bucket you excuse him and go finish. what she has started, etc... he would know you are definatly home trained and a wife material.

Bottom line, you don't need to become a house help to a man by cooking and washing for him so that he would see you as a wife material. Men always know what they want. If you like cook Chinese rice in diamond sauce and turn 360 degrees in bed, or give him the snake in the monkey shadow style, it doesn't make you a wife material. Ladies need to start respecting themselves.
We believe charity begins at home and not this life of pretense most of u put up to get the ring and when its done you bring out ur real self. The way u treat your fammily and behaive at home tells us a lot.
