It's crazy that the INEC Chairman was announcing results despite clear irregularities being reported, his job as an INEC chairman is to ensure the fidelity or result collation as much as possible and not read out results of arithmetic, otherwise a 10 year old would do his job just as well.

These are results gotten from the INEC server and this was done with the result sheets that were modified, wonder what we'd get when we discount those modified result sheets.
If this is true, then the "real result" came out exactly as I predicted.

PDP was expected to have less than 20%, they had 17% . APC was expected to do 25-30%, they had 28%.

LP took the greater part of the rest

For the governorship, SIM will win with over 60% of votes

@itsrm are you aware of the crack Cocaine endemic going on silently in pH?

People are loosing everything to this shit. Cars, lands, houses, phones...all their properties. It has wrecked countless lives.
The only way to curtail this thing now is for the government to step in, but I doubt that will happen because I'm certain politicians in government are catching the cruise too.
This one has flown past me until you mentioned it.

I know a lot of guys and even ladies take it but not this level of addiction.

The government will not do anything until they become a menace to the society at large like in the case of kpofire.

Until kpofire got so bad that the air was seriously polluted and everybody's feet was turning black inside their own house, the government never did anything about it.

The constitution already settled it.

"Section 299 of the Constitution states that the provisions of the Constitution shall apply to the FCT, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation and accordingly, the legislative powers, executive powers and judicial powers vested in the State Houses of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the Courts of a State shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the FCT Courts and this vesting shall be read with such modifications and adaptations as may be necessary."
I watched one lawyer read this same thing you just posted and he was saying the bolded means the FCT should not be treated as a state. He said that portion says "as if it were" which implies that it's not grin

To be fair to him, he said the political leanings of a lawyer will determine his interpretation of the constitution cheesy

I know na. That is why I asked itsrm to dig up the 2007 presidential election result. 😛

Now larride I know you are an erudite fellow. Please answer this trick question. Why would the Supreme Court in 2008 be concerning itself with who won and who didn’t win 25% of votes in Abuja in the 2007 election when nobody knows who won what?
90% safe to say the guy made it up. cheesy There is no other reference to this judgment except the one by Aondoakaa.

No doubt they are all rascals but I believe Aondoakaa is cooking up fake up stories here. I don’t think the Supreme Court ever made any judgement making 25% Abuja votes mandatory for a winner.

I strongly believe that the evidence now is just too overwhelming to ignore.
I just don't see how this result stands. Like, It's right there. THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES.
The only reason people are skeptical of a court rescinding this stolen mandate is because this is Nigeria, where it has never happened before for a president to step down. But if it happens, I don't think anyone would protest, because even the most ardent batist can see and agree that the declaration was very much premature.
Hence we don't even see any celebration in any part of the country.
Sometimes I imagine if obi was declared president, how we would see churches overflowing with celebrations, beers and chants overflowing in football viewing centers.

Cows colored in labor party apparels donning the streets. People out on the streets draped in Nigerian flags.
That would have been the pictures that would saturate the internet.
But an expatriate coming into Nigeria right now wouldn't know someone just won the presidency.
No news of celebration anywhere. The "victory" is mired in completely solemnity and controversy.
And I think that portends what the future looks like under tinubu.
Okay sir but just remember that someone who did not contest primary elections that was duly monitored by INEC was declared winner because the actual winner ought to have used writ of summons and not originating summons.

That was why I had problem with INEC chairman hastily announcing the winner of the presidential election without listening to complaints of different parties contesting the results based on the form EC8 results they have at their disposal .

I chose not to engage APC supporters here and outside this thread who kept on saying parties should have raised issues at the local and state level collation . It’s always sweet when such recklessness like INEC displayed favors u…. U won’t care whether anybody’s waling is genuine or not .

Just imagine INEC uploading results on their own portal that is in contrast with what they announced ? How will anybody ever trust INEC again to conduct any kind of credible election ?

As far as I’m concerned , they can as well announce the winners of the governorship election at 6am on Saturday before voting starts sef . We don leave am for dem to choose our leaders for us .
Last night, I was having this conversation with a PDP member who is the youth leader of the area I live and raised some of these issues

In his own words, "whatever you have to do to make INEC announce you the winner just do. We will deal with court cases later"

I guess that's what they tell themselves during their meetings.

AllTheWayUp:
A divided South with Peter Obi and Tinubu contesting will not be enough to stop Atiku.from polling the overall highest votes and declared President elect.
Even Wike with all his mad man rantings can't stop Atiku
Even if Atiku loses Rivers State, he has penetrated and made aggressive inroads in states in the North to replace Rivers votes..
With reality on ground, Atiku will get at least 55% of the overall Northern votes....and can afford to poll second highest overall in most states across the south South, south east and south west and still be declared President elect.

Again A divided South with Tinubu and Peter Obi on the ballot has made Atiku's path of Victory more Easier.
Atiku and PDP focused on Northern votes this time around, which was a huge checkmate against Tinubu, who was banking on Northern votes and thinking Obi emergence will scuttle Atiku chances in the traditional PDP strongholds of the south South and South East
But Atiku's surge in popularity in the North, and also PDP agressive political realignments and PDP resurgent grassroots mobilizations across villages, markets, towns and cities in the North and the unprecedented continuous defections from APC to PDP in the North, has offset PDP/Atiku's loss of grounds in the traditional PDP strongholds of South South and South East due to the Obi factor
.
Tinubu is the one who is politically bleeding at the moment, cos no hope for him in the North, South South and South East and his egocentric Muslim Muslim ticket was a political own goal and Dead on Arrival (DOA).
