iamoyindamola please recommend nice series for me and possibly sites to get them.

I was trying to sieve through that series thread in the TV/movies section for recommendation, but all those anime guys just make the thing tire me
The night agent

Started well but didn't end too well. Also has plenty of plot holes and silly coincidences. You know those scenes where all hope is lost and someone just magically arrives at the nick of time cheesy

You should still enjoy it regardless.

Yes.

Funny enough, both governors are in court. I suspect the judgment will go their way. They will have to be very bold to sit there and listen to the judges remove them from office

Even before kidnapping became a thing , the state of Nigerian roads has always made me scared of traveling .
It's all part of the experience and fun grin

I normally use public transport. Those drivers have a very good understanding of the road and where the potholes are. Secondly, moving around the states I visit is always better with public transport as well. I get to know the roads, names and how to move around the city on my own.

As kidnapping con enter, I don rest.

I was on this mission to tour all 36 states in Nigeria. Been to and spent a minimum of one night in 24 states before kidnapping became the source of livelihood of certain people.

Since then, mission has been aborted.

You can't throw stones and then hide your hands. I may have been histrionic but those who understand basic syllogism know what you employed.

If 1 or 2 say. . .maybe it is a lie

But when it is 10 and beyond. . . What should follow?

Tie it to "sheeple" and "get away with it".

Sir, you have concluded that there is some verisimilitude to it. In fact, you believe the testimonies. Own it.

Every one and their cat know you will not apply the same logic if the man in question is Wike. No need to play Ostrich. 2024 is the year of extreme ownership.

Own ya shit.
Continue tying things in your head.

What I said was clear

When you have more than 10 people saying the same thing, you will expect it to at least trigger something in his church members

Not at all. If you must critic someone's line of thought, the least you can do is make sure you understand what they are saying.

This was what I said.

When you have more than 10 people saying the same thing, you will expect it to at least trigger something in his church members.
How does it translate to this

If 10 people are saying it, then it must be true

If 10 people are saying it, then it must be true is a violation of logical reasoning. Especially when said people are giving testimonials that are easily disprovable.

As a rule of thumb, you don't need to like someone to be objective. Just think if those arguments were being made about Wike, I am pretty sure you will be more objective than that.

Tabloid quote is not evidence.

Nigerian Pastors don't like . . .is not evidence. Some of those Nigerian Pastors heard God tell them they'll be president and it is 23 years since then - no show. You don't even like who they have supported politically but you are going to die on the hill of their spiritual endorsements?

I actually do have pity for some of you.

I doubt he even has any MTN shares
The fact you don't see his name means nothing. Some of those names you see on the list of shareholders are SPVs and you may never know the actual people behind the SPV.

What we know is, Osinbajo was one of the pioneer shareholders of MTN. To the best of my knowledge, you don't even get invited to be a pioneer investor except you're buying something substantial. I think Dangote set his at $50m

He may not be a majority shareholder in the real sense of the word but he definetly has substantial holdings.

Whether he was involved or not is besides the point though. Tunji Ojo also said he wasn't involved with the award of the contract.

Osinbajo is not a civil servant/government appointee. He was voted into an elected position. I know Osinbajo is one of the major shareholders in MTN, but I don't think the rule that applies to these ministers & civil servants applies to governors, presidents and vice presidents.

No be me write Nigerian constitution, public service rule and Public procurement Act. What the law says is that public servants can only engage in farming. grin
I just used Osinbajo as an example.

Whoever drafted that law must be drunk and I will be very surprised if this is what obtains in developed countries.

You'll be surprised to find out how heavily invested someone like Cardoso will be in companies operating in the financial sector. Some of those companies will get government contracts.

Emefiele was the CEO of Zenith. I'm sure he didn't just dispose his shares before his appointment to CBN.

What I would have expected the law to mandate is full disclosure before appointment.

The issue be say Tunji-Ojo no steal , but most likely had used his influence to get his company the contract from a ministry headed by his friend. It's neither here nor there. I learnt Barth Nnaji was in similar situation under Jonathan and he was forced to resign his appointment as minister. Being a shareholder of the company definitely poses a question of conflict of interest.

Las Las na Tinubu go decide his fate however he deems fit.
But let's be realistic here. Is there any government official who is not a shareholder of one company or another? Should they all be forced to resign because the companies where they are shareholders get government contracts?

Osinbajo for instance is a major shareholder of a telco company. That telco company got a big contract from INEC last year. Should he have resigned too?

Documentary came too late, if you ask me.

I don't think this Documentary would change the mind of any member of SCOAN. It only satisfies the minds if those who knew him as a fraud. To his faithfuls, it is the Devil's way of pulling down who God had blessed.

Like I was discussing with someone who attends OPM. Asked her what she thinks about allegations of sexual misconduct against her pastor. She said it's a lie from mischief makers to cast aspersion on his person.

I asked if she has ever even paused to think that perhaps those things said about him are true? She said she can never entertain such thoughts because that's the devil whispering those to my ears and she never allows the devil grin

Nothing about that documentary will change those whose minds are made up.

To be frank it can be just any kids. My kids have devices but not phones. One time their friends came for sleepover. Next day my son started getting smutty spam in his inbox.

My dad hates movies and as a uk returnee bought a betamax rather than a VHS. This severely limited our access to movies for years. But our next door neighbors who incidentally were SUs bought a VHS and did not regulate nada on their kids watching. I remeber watching Chinese movies with women strip teasing in their place.

This is every parent's worst fear.

Most of the vices an adult engages in today, he or she didn't learn from his or her parents but from peers
Sometimes I think perhaps the best approach is to imbibe the culture of reading and studying in them from a young age. And when they do well in school, it will encourage them to devote more of their time to it.

I'll like to think that those students who get high scores in Waec, Jamb and Cambridge exams have no time for cultism, internet fraud and other vices.

You just keep making assumptions. What we know for a fact is she only chats with her Mom and grandma (family members). You don't live in their house to know how her and her moms schedule is like. I know that. My 4 year old son has a laptop. The only website he visits is khanacademy. Access is strictly restricted.

That's not the same as an 8 year old having unregulated access to a smartphone which was what GB was about.
