Lol stop trying to be clever by half.. at all times, both parties had candidates from same region, so you had no choice but to vote for one from the same region jmoore: When it comes to voting, you should never accuse Igbo people of tribalism.
Facts speak for itself.
1999 & 2003: Southeast voted for Obasanjo.
2007: Southeast voted for Yar'adua.
2011 & 2015: Southeast voted for Goodluck Jonathan.
2019: Southeast voted for Atiku Abubakar.
Obasanjo, Yar'adua, Goodluck Jonathan and Atiku are not Igbo people.
This time around that it is obvious that southeast will vote for Peter Obi, some are blackmailing Igbo people by saying they are practising tribalism.
Nigeria will only be free when we learn to speak the truth and vote for the truth.
Peter Obi is the most credible of all candidates.
Vote for Peter Obi as the president of Nigeria. |

Sorry, i meant to say 2019!! The Propaganda was the highestat that time!! 2015 Buhari was just coming to power, there was nothing like herdsmen issue Nobody ever thought buhari will survive in the MB in 2019 AmehTsaev: Firstly you can have a discourse without throwing all the insults and tantrums, especially if I didn't insult you.. I'm not the type to stoop low as to engage in your nairaland typical childish quibbles and invectives, so lets try and act like civilized adults. I've already addressed this before and I don't like to repeat myself, the mood in 2015 isn't the same in 2023, so much has happened in just that space of time, in 2015 majority of Nigerians were tired of the GEJ government and were eager for something different, Buhari came with his "Change" and "Fresh air" mantra which we all fell for (including myself), I personally campaigned for Buhari's government in my constituency and I have no regrets in admitting that.
Now things have changed significantly, for one the perception of the Middle Belt people is that of utter disappointment at the APC government, so many people have lost their lives in this government and the security situation has grown from bad to worse in recent years, I'm sure you're not so disingenuous not to know how thousands of Christians have been wiped out by Fulani herdsmen in just 8 years since APC took over the relms of power, so your comparison of 2015 and now shows how pitiable detached you are from reality.
Anyway I'm not here to prove anything to you guys, no be for Nairaland I go dey follow una dey drag issues, come February 2023, you will understand what it means when people are tired and are dying for change. |

Sharrap!! Who do u think u are fooling, do we look like kids to u!!! Anti buhari propaganda was high pitch and very frantic towards 2015 elections in MB, especially in Benue State, nobody would have thought he will get a single vote there, just check "nowuse" monicker(his a MB agitator) Not only that Buhari sweeped the MB, but he barely and patrly lost Benue state, i think it was just 300 votes difference AmehTsaev: Lol, we all got scammed by the Buhari "change " that was sold to us until herdsmen killings etc happened to our people, and Buhari barely won any of the North Central states in the last election despite all the wuruwuru rigging that we witnessed, now we know better and we will never repeat the APC and PDP mistake anymore. |

Politics › Re: Reasons Why Middle Belt Region Should Vote Christians President by ItsTutsi(m): 4:12pm On Jun 10, 2022 |
The irony is that Christians are the minority even in the MB SHINJA: Stop hiding Ur Identity...
No middle belt Christian will vote for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.. mbos: The persecution facing Christians in Nigeria is extreme and often brutally violent, as Islamic militants and armed bandits attack with increasing impunity.
This mostly affects believers living in the Muslim-majority north and Middle Belt, but it’s also spreading to the south. Although all civilians are subject to threats and violence, Christians are often specifically targeted because of their faith. Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), for example, want to eliminate the presence of Christianity in Nigeria.
Men and boys are often specifically targeted by extremist groups, with the aim of destroying livelihoods and stifling Christian population growth. Christian women and girls in northern Nigeria, and increasingly further south, are vulnerable to persecution for their faith and gender.
Troublingly, discrimination against Christian men has also been reported within the government armed forces, with Christian soldiers sent to the most dangerous areas where they’re acutely at risk at being killed by Boko Haram or other extremist groups.
In northern states that operate under Sharia (Islamic law), Christians can be treated as second-class citizens, whilst Christians who convert from Islam are also at risk of pressure and persecution. |

1- Gov Lalong is not known outside of Platue State!! A influential, famous and dominant person is needed as VP to counter Atiku in the north 2- Lalong openly supported and worked for Ameachi, i dont see Tinubu picking him 3- the APC chairman is from NC, VP has to come from NE or NW 4- the core north will never accept a Christian VP! In as much as its a hard pill to swallow, Tinubu has a better chance with a Muslim VP 5- last but not the least, take whatever you read or hear in the media with a pinch of salt, its all fake news as we could all see with the permutations perior to primaries.. the media dont know any better than we do!!channelstravel: Some news say he's going with Simon Lalong of Plateau. Nothing like Greek gift!! Keep that bullshit to urself!! Us northerners are wired and configurated to cherish and adorn honesty in all our dealings.. from tomato seller, shie shinner etc we are honest and loyal to those that deserve it Thats why it was duty bound for the governors to have supported Tinubu considering the sacrifice he did in enthroning Buhari in 2015 and we shall do it again in 2023 for Tinubu 9jalyte: What should worry every discerning mind should be, what made the Northern Governors just suddenly form a consensus and throw massive support for Tinubu. This was the same Tinubu that came out red a day before and made utterances that many of them considered provocative. This is the same Tinubu that Buhari’s camp vehemently refused to support. The same Tinubu that his Homebase was divided. And from nowhere, we saw a clamor that was massive, desperate, and fierce for Tinubu from the same North that he told they think only them own the Presidency. If I were the Yorubas, I will take a step back and look again at this Greek gift. If you don’t know, hear it now. With Obi making inroads across boundaries, the North did not want to take chances. They considered giving Lawan the ticket meant choking their chances. They worked out their last-minute Strategy: 1. Remove competition for Atiku in the North and Make the South the Battlefield. That way, they return to Power through Atiku. 2. If by Chance APC muscles its way to Presidency through their mechanisms, they have to play the Yaradua card as payback to What OBJ did to them. They anticipate some kind of “come-back” through the back door. So, while you are here arguing like it is an Arsenal/ManU competition, it is your destiny they have placed on the Chessboard. Better be wise and give them the right uppercut. If you have a head, you will understand what I mean. |

As a northerner, everything you said is on point!! Only that wamakko is from sokoto state(NW).. Tinubu will do well in NE because of APC governor factor Faiththatworks: Hmmmmmm...... When you go through this delegate voting pattern,it's very obvious for anyone to see the winning formular,i daresay even especially at the presidential election next yr. Even though people like to disparage Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the man is very right about the winning formula that brought Pres Buhari to power. This winning formula is very very dangerous But I'm sure Asiwaju will definitely use it again in 2023. All you need to win any national election in Nigeria is to get the Voting support of the North-west,take 55% of the North-East,60% of the North Central,80 of any 1 of the 3 Southern Region and less than 20% In the the remaining 2 southern Region. Winning an election in Nigeria need only Just 4 geopolitical region especially the North West and the South West and that's the bitter truth, any presidential aspirant can decided to continue using this template and he/she will continue to win elections. As for those who keep disturbing us Peter Obi,I will like to see their winning formula in Next yr Elections. Asiwaju will definitely lean on Buhari support In the North -west,the south west is already in the bag,I'm sure his foot soldiers will die there in Edo and Delta for the south-south as seen even in the delegates voting, while kwara, kogi and benue will be very close. For the North-East,he can rely on Wammako,Shettima and some old war houses to lead the fight. All of these while totally ignoring the south-east,even though some people might feel offended, but this is the Buhari winning template and I'm very sure Asiwaju will just dust it up and use it again. God bless Nigeria. |
