Amelian: My dear Ivan, u r moving with d wrong set of guys.. I was like you too, way back. Guys I dated then was like my luv is 2much. It was heart wrenching, when u av so much positivity 2 impact in someone's life but d person is not ready 2 accept it. As time goes on, u just av 2 cut down on caring and loving, and simply focus on giving it yur parents or siblings, they will value u more, I tell ya.. Then pray dat u meet the right man meant for u, who will love u so much more than u can even imagine.. Pls try 2 spot such kind of guys ontime, so they don't kill yur spirit 2 love sincerely. I don't understand why a person (an adult) would ask a 'yes' or 'no' question and actually expect only 'yes' as answer from hundreds of people (also adults) with minds of their own, with a right to their own points of view, from different works of life, backgrounds and levels of exposure?! There's no need for this e-fights. Beautiful women, like handsom men have their problems. But, no two 'beautiful' human beings are the same. Thus, they can't share the same problematic features, karmas, characters, demons, mammy water and temperaments that are capable of chasing men away. |

Hmmm... Its a very important question that every unmarried couple should ponder on. There was a time in Ibibio land when this scenerio you're about to read was rife. If you're dating an ibibio girl, let me sound this warning: do not let her live with you until you both are married oh! Most especially if her family know you as her boyfriend. If she dies (God forbid) you are finished! You will marry the corpse. I mean perform every marriage right from beginning to the end. And whatever is done can be tripled or quadrupled just to hurt you before she's buried. Infact, it was rumoured that some parents even killed their daughters just so they could collect 10times what they normally would've collected had their 'precious daughter' been alive. Of course, many families and communities didn't partake in such acts but the entire 'ibibio name', and Akwa Ibom as a whole was tarnished. So, let's be careful and be wise. |

2leftlegs: Not likely............If that was her first date, then she must run for her life because he probably planned it that way to 'test the waters' and she 'fell for it' by paying the bills. He only wants her money. Period. In general, i see nothing wrong in helping my guy out financially, more especially if he's been doing the same for me. |

Can an adult actually open her mouth to say that her friends advised her to do this...wicked act and she went ahead to do it? What was she expecting to happen when she asked the girl to sit on the hot plate? A kiss from the stove?!!! Gosh! So, if her friends told her to give the girl rat poison as a remedy, she'd have done it too! The combination of inferiority complex and a weak will. What a wicked foolish woman! I hope those 'friends' of hers will come out and stand by her now and defend their wonderful advice and 'friend'. I hope she made to pass through the same ordeal that little girl went through. I'm so angry i wish i could see this woman now...that poor girl's life can never be the same. |

This is one advice Mr. President must take seriously. The re opening of schools at this critical time will only bring more harm than good. For once let this man put his foot down as the educated man that he is and do something right. Prevention is better than cure. This disease must be stamped out at all cost (it is possible) and if re-opening of schools next year will achieve this, then let it be so. We don't want to be like Liberia. 1 Like |
