I just read This Day newspaper which reported that the miners during their rescue were all wearing T-shirts printed with Psalm 95:4 – "In his hand are the depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him.". That verse sure captured the greatness of our God for indeed God has the whole world in his hand. In his hands are all the troubles, wants, hardship, sicknesses, unhappiness that assail us and in his time he will make all things beautiful for us all. Somebody shout Alleluiah!

Lots of hugs to you guys and to all that have been to this thread and to all that gave these men their prayers and fasting. May the anointing with which this great miracle has been meted to these men fulfill all our good heart's desires. May great miracles follow us all and may all that have been seeming impossible in our Life be made possible.

It was wonderful we all had this bring joy to us all and to a world that have been full of rancour, hatred and religious extremism. We all pray that God touch the hearts of others that think evil for their fellow human being and kill, maim and bring sorrows to people. May God give us all back the good old days when there were no such rancour and fear as there is now in the world today and humans will begin to love again irrespective of religion, race, tribe, class. These Nigerians were not trapped beneath the earth, all they need was a sensible and dignified relocation. We could not provide them with one.

Do you mean that those people were abandoned, their land used to pay some political/war debt only to be left on their own, where do they want them to go live? In the sky? Isn't it about time we stop counting the bad points of Naija on our fingers  and begin to do something about things. Talking about it for the umpteenth time in a forum like this ,doesn't solve it. I just returned from work and came by your thread to know how things dey shele. Nothing dey happen my sister. The joy party is still on at my thread and some bouncers came along and sanitized off the thread so it looks more decent this time around and the sadists that nearly killed me have all gone. Why are you guys not singing praises, abeg somebody sing us some praises while the discussion is going on. Jesus abeg you follow me see that drama that played when the 21st miner came out, the woman that gave him all that sweet hug is the mistressy. This occurence has brought his cheating to the awareness of everybody, I bet that may be why the wify gave them some distance as her absence was attributed to her waiting for him somewhere else. Yes Baby, I just saw our 21st miner lifted out and enjoying the hugs of his mistressy. Oh my God, I am almost envying my boys-----they are getting all the hugs in the world------I wish I can get some like them-----lol

Every day we all need to play for our fellow Nigerians who are dying in literal holes of poverty, joblessness, ignorance etc
We all need to make use of these threads and be putting heads together for innovative ways to make life better for Nigerians. I have said that before.
Enough of the negativity of "Nigeria being the worst country" Let us begin to find a way to push it forward and make Life better people. Tommorrow I am going to visit that facebook page of Jonathan's, it's high time they heard it from us people how we want things run. We run that country, we all together, they better know that while losing themselves in tribalistic politics. The hustle for survival has really distanced me from things but I am getting in the groove of things from now on and finding ways to make my own positive change to my country. I promise myself that.

Their president has truly shown that being a president is not all about the tribe/faction or race of the individual, he has been there all the way, supporting the family to the very end. He is worth emulating by other presidents of many other countries that will rather cosy up at home and send delegates as if they are some semi god.

Yes Ogidiboy that second miner is in such great frame of mind, he was even giving out handouts of stones as tokens from the mine that had people laughing.

If these were fellow Nigerians, I will feel the same. Me, I have begged that our country be divided up to five so that resources can get to everybody and nobody is listening to me. They are all holding on to the oil, when divided we all can still turn out into great countries. Right now, I don't need anybody to spoil my joy for me Ojare.
How serious is that country of ours that preaches unity and still zones presidency to tribes after tribes?, if we are united----does it matter who rules? The only way we can have peace and real unity is when what really matters most to us all is how whoever the president is is delivering service and not which tribe he is from.
Right now what matters to people is where the president is from so when we all wake up from that tribalism inbred in us things will definitely change for us all. All in all I still love my country with all its weaknesses and strong points.

I feel you Ogidiboy, the Lord is good. This is the love of humanity at work, man's love for his fellow man. Doggedness, determination, courage, patience, sympathy all the excellent attributes we all should have for one another at play here. May God be praised!

I don't care what anybody says----I am very happy for these men. If you know how it feels to have a love one being carried in casket on it's way to the grave only then can you appreciate what thing of joy it is that these men are being returned to their family.
