Thanks and goodmorning. It is accurate. He has his biz and we v been saving for d holidays. Meanwhile my no 2 question is still not answered.
We will be travelling from France to UK, and we have proof of accommodation in France but In UK we book hotel for 4 nights. My question is --how do we answere the question that says 'how much is available for your trip' do we calculate how much we will spend altogether for the whole trip I.e from Lagos to France then to UK (return) or we just calculate and state how much it will cost us from France to UK only?
Our flight from France to UK ia abt 200Euro,(return for 2) hotel in London is 393 for 4nights. Feedind is abt 72pds for 4 days apart from transportation within London.

Vicjustice:

1) I don't recall the exact year, but the online application system has been on for a good number of years, though, there have been some changes in the websites and the structures of the application forms.
2) This is the kind of circumstances that you need to explain in the additional information field, you can use external paper in need be: but remember to KISS your script: Keep It Short & Simple.
3) It will be reasonable enough if that is the accurate figure, and it will be unreasonable if it is incorrect.
The reasonable thing to do is to say it as it is and to call a spade a spade: it is unreasonable to say something that will be difficult to defend

Pls am waiting ohh. Thanks.

3. My Husband is my sponsor. He has about 2.7m closing balance. He wants to state that he spends about 500pounds which is abt 125k per month. Its just 2 of us for now. Pls is it reasonable enough?

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by iyaaliyah: 11:59am On Jul 15, 2015
Hi, pls why didn't you attach your booking confirmation? Is there any particular reason?

JewelStone:
I remember your

interview transcript. We applied the same day in Abuja, but I didn't do an interview. Got a mail exactly 5 working days later on Friday 10th that my passport and supporting docs have been dispatched thru courier. I received my passport yesterday 13th with Visa. I was amazed at how quick their process is.

My application was pretty simple, I shivered when I saw the docs others where submitting. I only submitted my form, reference letter from employer, 6 months statement of account and 6 months payslips. That's all, no stories or detailed itinerary. I did a mock hotel booking but didn't include the confirmation printout. This is my first UK application although I have US and Schengen Visas.

When are going for your passport? Do let us know the outcome...

Hello, pls I realised that the UK visa application site has totally changedw I applied once in 2013 tho denied I want to apply again. My questions are. I typed in UK visa application and it brought out GOV.UK. Am I in d right site? It required I registered beforr filling form.

2. I have a visa to France but I want to visit the UK for about 5 days from France, do I fill in transit or normal visitor's visa like am actually going from Lagos?

3. Does it require physical interview now like US or we just drop our documents as usual?

4. I read that we book appointment, this is kinda strange to me.
5. I read also that if I choose ikeja application centre, I will pay extra fee.

6. How much in particular is application fee now? I saw extra 18k to be paid at application centre.

Please, pardon me for my numerous questions. God bless yu as yu answer.

Career / Re: Help Union Bank Unjustly Terminated My Appointment! by iyaaliyah: 3:39pm On Jun 27, 2015
Sadly, any employer can terminate appointment without any ground. It is when you give a ground that yu have to prove the grounds. Its unfornate tho but thats it.

Caracta:
Hmmm. There is more to this story. I do not believe any reasonable organization would terminate appointments on zero grounds.

I understand few months ago, Union Bank organized a saturday test and interview for workers without prior notice. Many of the workers laughed it off and refused to show up that morning, never did they know it was another form of appraisal. Also recently, workers have been placed on series of ghost appraisals.

OP, i advise you to demand for explanation. Write to your HR and contest the termination. Something must be wrong somewhere. Why you?
Career / Re: Help Union Bank Unjustly Terminated My Appointment! by iyaaliyah: 3:37pm On Jun 27, 2015
@op, post the exact wordings used in the letter. Then what does your contract of employment say about termination? Post it lets read then from there peeps can offer useful tips.
The law is that he who hires can fire and without any reason. They owe you no explanation but the moment there is a reason fot termination, then the employer has to proove it.

What does your offer letter say as regards termination? As regards notice aand how many month notice? All these will help in proferring solution.

Hello @Visa officer. Pls a father who is a US citizen said he filed for his children. He later received a message to produce more documents by which time he had moved from the address to which the application/request for additional documents was sent. According to him, by the time he got this message the time given to him to submit the application had passed and that the application was canceled.what can be done in this situation. Thanks and welldone!

Hummmm. God bless you plenty plenty.
My last question for today.

Is it true that the chances of getting a visitor's visa decreases the moment one has a 1-130 petition pending.

VisaOfficer:

Then he will need to file separate I-130 petitions for each child. Once the principal applicant has become a U.S. citizen, the case is closed completely, and deriative children who have not yet traveled are no longer eligible to receive visas in that case.
Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by iyaaliyah: 12:15pm On Jan 05, 2015
Yes. He has become a US citizen.

VisaOfficer:

Married children cannot be included as derivatives in any case.

Has the person who used to be an employee here in Lagos officially become a U.S. citizen?
Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by iyaaliyah: 10:12am On Jan 05, 2015
Thanks for your response and welcome back!
Pls, I don't understand 'before the principal applicant in a case has naturalized'
Again, does it mean that it's irrelevant if their names were on the dependant form? Note pls: 1 of them is married.
Thank you

VisaOfficer:

If the father is now a U.S. citizen, he will need to file an I-130 petition for each of his children in Nigeria. Minor children may only follow-to-join before the principal applicant in a case has naturalized.

Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by iyaaliyah: 7:45am On Jan 05, 2015
Goodmorning @VO. Happy New year. Pls a question on behalf of a family friend.

The father became a US citizen 5years ago. While filling the form (he was an employee of US embassy in Lagos) he added all his children's name but was able to travel with 4 who were still minor and later after a year, their last born joined him except the older ones. Now, the father wants the older ones to join him too. Question is, since their names are already on the list as dependants,do they need to go through the 160 form and wait for the 7 years? Secondly, Someone told their father that he should simply get an immigration lawyer to do a petition or something like that to the embassy for them since their names are there already, they don't need to wait the 160form period. How true is that? Thanks as I await your response.
