Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Etb Test On 21/09/2007. by iykrion(m): 11:12pm On Sep 20, 2007
It is not possible for one to gatecrash at the exam venue because, the invitation letter must be presented to the security men at the gate before you are allowed to enter the hall, and also attached to the answer scripts at the end of the test. As regards how long it takes for one to be issued an invitation after submitting CV, before now they gave the IV immediately, but now, I understand that it takes about a week or so to get same this time via email or sms.

Some of those who were originally meant to write the test on the 21/09 recieved sms informing them of a shift to next week Friday. So dropping CV's now might be timely.

For the HND holders, I think they may write the bulk teller test. But all the same, it is better to get clarification from their HR office at 1695 Sanusi Fafunwa Street V/I. cool

Hi,
People with third class still have a lot to contribute to our society. I understand that the almighty legal luminary-Chief Gani Fewehinmi SAN, graduated with 3rd class, today his books are being used by every lawyer and law students who want to be successful.
The taste of the pudding is actually in the eating. So, be of good cheers, the best is yet to come! cool

I wish you the best too.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Access Bank Test On 19/09/2007 by iykrion(m): 9:31pm On Sep 17, 2007
Congrtas for the invitation.
The test consists of two parts.
Paper one is general knowledge, quatitative reasoning, graphical representation etc, 50 questions for one hour.
Paper two is Maths ( GMATS) 50 questions for one hour
You must score at least 25/50 in paper one before your paper two could be marked. That is, if you fail to make at least 25 marks in your first paper, your second paper will not be attended to. You know what that means, (failure). I must warn, the questions are cheap but trickish.
So, be smart. Speed and accuracy counts a lot.
Good luck cool

A white shirt, dark clolour suit, an attractive tie (preferably red) and a black shoe. Look smart, your apperance matters a lot. Remember that first impression counts. People fail interview just because of their appearance. Don't compromise the colour ot the shirt. IT MUST BE WHITE! Good luck. cool

IKUSH, do take a closer look at the posts you reply. dutybarb posted this on the 20th of September 2006.
Whereas you wrote your test in August this year, a difference of twelve months. Do they have anything in common?
Relax, in so far as you passed the test, you will definitely be invited for an interview. Be prepared. Or better still, visit their head office at 1665 Oyin Jolayemi Street, Victoria Island if you are resident in Lagos. If not give them a call. Find their HR contact number on their web site. cool

Though I dind't apply for the First Bank job, I got worried as regards the guy who requested for the id of some people. He might not have been responsible for their plight (those who didn't make it to the interview), but all the same, people should try to be fair to others, 44444 as he posted is a very wrong id. Why the deciet? For Goodness' sake, this is a place where one expects to find succour, and not deceit.

Some people are really mischievous. 419 comes in various ramifications. I guess that some nairaland users must have learnt from this. A word is enough for the WISE! angry
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Etb Calling! by iykrion(m): 3:39pm On Sep 15, 2007
At ETB and it's sister companies, the recruitment processes are really very slow because of the absence of Dr. Adenuga, who holds the final decision on who gets employed. I also attended the August 21 Panel interview which is my 2nd interview with them. The first was with the head of their HR.

I strongly hold the view that they will surely call, but at their own pace. None of my collegues who attended that same interview has been contacted.

While we await their call, we should also try some other openings. There are lots of them. Thanks to the wonderful members of Nairaland.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Access Bank Calls For The Third Stage Of Interview by iykrion(m): 12:27pm On Sep 12, 2007
Hi landers,
Like I said earlier, u should expect questions based on what u studied. Those that read Economics were asked questions on Demand, GDP, Supply and stuffs like that. Then he might ask u to tell him what u can offer to the bank if u are eventually employed. He was relaxed asking those questions. Don't do a guess work as that might count against you.

Basically, he draws questions strictly on one's discipline, I believe he watches one's level of confidence and comportment. Some people that went for the HR interview on the 15th and 17th of August were not yet called as at yesterday. So I strongly believe that it's being done by batches.

I don't know if it's the final interview on not. But non of us met with the MD, neither were we given forms for medical report. They are taking their time in doing this. cool

The first set of twenty people went for the interview yesterday (11/09/07) at their HQTRS in V.I. We were divided into 2 groups of 10. It comenced at about 7:30 pm. Each group met with a sectional head. People in my group spent an average of 20 mins each with the man (not the MD). Some left at about 11:30 pm.

We were mainly those that went for the HR interview on the 15th and 17th August. I believe others will still be invited. For those expecting the call, be ready to answer questions based on your discilpline, be calm and calculative.

I wish u all the best. cool

The MD is busy with the IPO. As soon as the offer period is over the successful candidates will be invited to meet with him. There's no need to fret. cool
