folahann: My brother no mortal has power over life and death. He left Bayelsa for security reasons. Remember Goodluck's house was bombed after the elections. He was in the Villa as a resident and not a visitor.Besides, he was ripe with age. May he rest in peace! ![]() |
@ otokx, You haven't made any sense. Are you sure that Ibori didn't misappropriate the funds entrusted to his administration? Even Lawrence Anini had sympathisers. If you want to take part in a discourse such as this, please please, avoid ad hominems. Only facts and good reasoning will justify your arguments. Thank you. |
folahann:Na for where you been want make he die? The VP is his first son, so as an old man, he should be closer to his son. E better as he go stay with Goodluck sef, those militants been want use bomb finish the old man. Pa Ebele, RIP ![]() |
Obalende:Nice idea! I commend your resourcefulness Obalende:Probably they think that the destitutes are engineers working for contruction companies ![]() Obalende:Common sense is not common with this set of people. Obalende:That should be our collective prayer. |
pcicero:Is Ambassador Babagana Kingibe that bad? Pray, tell me what he did that any politician worth his/her onioin wouldn't have done under the same circumstance. |
spora:Fayose voluntarily presented himself to the EFCC. He visited EFCC's Ikoyi office in the company of his lawyer - Mr Alex Iziyon SAN. My worry is that peolpe will still carry placards proclaiming his angelic innocence. Others will maintain that he is being victimised by his detractors. Na wah for us o! |
That's really an interesting piece! I hope it abides. Thanks anyway! |
Sweet T:Let's start with you. Are you gathering stones where you are? ![]() The Igbos are only being enterprising. QED ![]() |
Alright, let's wait for Yar'Adua's reaction when he returns. |
Does Obj want to eat his cake and at same time have it? Well, in politics, only interest in permanent, every other thing remains flexible. I wish him luck! |
McKren:My intention wasn't to demean your stance on this discourse. I was only asking for your view as regards the double standards that our politicians play. This minute one issues a statement, the next minute another says another thing on the same topic. No hard feelings bro! |
ono:The war goes on, your belief notwithstanding ![]() |
McKren:What have you to say about the statement below? The Chairman Senate Committee on Information and Media, Senator Ayogu Eze on Friday said President Umaru Yar’Adua must have weighed his options when he said Nigeria had accepted the establishment of a United States military command in Africa. Eze said this in a telephone interview with our correspondent, in Abuja on Friday. He said although the details of the president’s action were not available, it was safe to say the president meant well. He said, “I don’t have all the particulars for me to make a comment, but every assistance we can get to increase our military might, not only to protect our territorial integrity but also to increase our influence on the continent, I think it is a welcome development. “I am sure the President considered what will best serve the interest of Nigeria and weighed the options before the decision was taken. You know the President cannot just commit Nigeria without weighing the options. I believe this is just the preliminary stages. Eze noted that the Senate had a role to play in matters that had to do with committing Nigeria, especially militarily. He expressed confidence that the matter which was still at its pleminary stages would eventually get to the Senate at the appropriate time. He also said it was too early to jump into conclusions over the issue since the President was still abroad and the details were still sketchy. http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200712151465810 |
ono:Are you somehow related to Mamajama? Both of you sure have things in common - BLIND ARGUMENT! ![]() I must say that your stance on this discourse, is at best shallow and at worst irresponsible. Ibori is a big time thief and not a shadow. This is not the first time he stole, even before he became a governor, he was cought stealing building materials somewhere in Abuja. He was prosecuted, along the line people like you came out to defend him. Please reason before you talk. Agabya! |
Kobojunkie:http://www.vanguardngr.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3055&Itemid=0 McKren:WELL SAID. In Nigeria, the law enforcement agencies are always reactive and punitive. They don't understand what it means to be proactive. They will aid crime so that they can benefit from the arrests, rather than prevent crime. Little wonder one sees them happy, parading suspects. They fail to realise that it is their inactions that bring about the crimes in the first place. I pray he doesn't sail through with this his unimpressive and unnecessary reform . |
@Kobojunkie, You seem to infer that the more one studies for higher degrees, the less oppurtunities available. Or better put, the less salary he/she gets. From all you have written, it's clear that you don't even merit a First Degree . Infact, in your own world, a Diploma holder earns more than a Professor in the same field. Why did you bother to go for the Master's degree -which I doubt- you have? I suggest you follow Revive's advice, so that, at least you may be revived. Back to the topic, If Nigeria government doesn't encourage the expected PhD holders by way of good salary structures, they will certainly leave for 'greener' pastures, just like their predecessors. This is no longer the age of one trying to die for his country. |
Babasin, Clapperclaw certainly can not help Nigeria now. People do contribute to the success of governments - citizens and non-citizens. You have various media through which you can put forward your blueprint with respect to the growth and development of Nigeria, that is if you are concerned. It is not heroic to do a research only on how a country is not moving forward. It is hypocrisy to find faults without profering solutions. Cheers! |
Mamajama:You have finally dug your grave with your own hands. Can you diffrentiate gifts from graft as regards sitting public servants? Your warped and myopic mind is indeed, irredeemable. Why will people give those in power 'gifts', if not to curry one favour or the other? Why were you given lands? Please, go look for where you actually belong, because this forum is really for those who can reason properly. Finally, try to reason before you strike your keyboards. |
Mamajama:Beneficiary in what sense? You musn't make a comment. When you have nothing reasonable to say, the best you can do is to keep a sealed lips Even a fool is considered wise if silence is maintained. |
Mamajama: Again, another of your numerous blunders. Me, PROFESSOR gay? Well, Let it be known that I don't hold brief for IBB. I only detaste your style of accusing IBB and fiercely defending Ehindero. What is sauce for the goose must - as a matter of fairness - be sauce for the gander. QED! |
Mamajama:Dude, I'm not BIGB1. As for leaving you alone, I 've nothing against you. I only have issues with your inaccurate and misleading posts. Cheers! ![]() |
Mamajama:What investigation are you refering to here? Why have you decided to be languishing in perpetual ignorance whereas knowledge abounds. You give me the impression that you reside in a backwater. Are you sure that you are in the US? Please, this section is for the enlightened adults, I suggest you beat it. Go look for kiddies section, you may not even fit in there because of how shallow your reasoning is. You do not impress me with your grammar at all! |
@ topic, If Ehindero as an Inspector General of Police could heartlessly conive with a hooded criminal to tell lies, and decieve the entire nation about the murder of a serving Attorney General and an elder statesman. Then I wonder what an average police man will do. |
Mamajama, you see what your intellectual deficiency is resulting into? Your smartness does not even transcend the lowest level of stupidity. I can't help wondering if you interact with enlightened people on one-on-one basis at all. Do you? Of a truth I admire your desire to contribute to political discourse, but you see, it is not meant for every body. Please go back to school, by God's grace, in the next 8 - 10 years, you may be fit to contribute academically, depending on how fast you can learn. I'll keep praying that God gives you a retentive memory. Good luck! |
A man who has hope for a brighter future needs not go on rampage, lest he be killed and his hopes cut short. To this end, one easily understands the almajeris and few other stupid ones when they crave for death in the name of fighting for Allah. Will the sons of the wealthy Hausas be allowed to riot? Religion has done more harm than good to us in Nigeria. |
With incentives such as research grants, allowances, good salaries, consistent exposures to seminars, symposia, talks, workshops inter alia, a first degree holder will do better than a professor who lacks all these. Let the government stop chasing shadows and paying lip service to the education sector. A paper Phd will not salvage the Nigeria's dwindling education sector, but a brain Phd will. |
The government has to encourage enabling enviroment, so that the private sectors can create jobs which will inturn put these smart rogues out of business. Demolishing Oluwole will only affect their location and certainly not their illegal transactions. The various governments in Nigeria always engage in punitive reforms instead of corrective ones. That is why they will rather demolish a settlement inhabited by poor people on the excuse that robbers use it as a hideout. Warri man will say 'siddon dey look na dog name'. We don siddon dey look them |
1. Alhaji Aliko Dangote - for creating jobs for millions on Nigerians directly & indirectly. 2. Otunba Mike Adenuga Jr - for breaking new grounds and employing millions of Nigerians. 3. Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige OON (Onwa) - for breaking the bond of godfatherism in Anambra state. 4. Prof. Chukwuma Soludo - for the repositioning of Nigeria's financial institutions. 5. Alhaji Asari M. Dokubo - for championing the cause of his people. |
his_grace:Are you suggesting we applaud mediocrity? By the way, why the rage? May his grace be upon you! |
mrpataki:@mrpataki, Please go through this statement of yours again, and tell me with every sincerity left in you, if you are being sensible at all. I will also advise that you read other versions of the news or better still, read the Attorney General's press statement on this issue, because the source where Mamajama got his story misqouted the Attorney General. Finally, if 40% of wealthy Nigerians invested their wealth in Nigeria like Adenuga did, trust me you won't be in another man's country struggling to make ends meet. Try to see the truth the way it is, and not the way it should be. There's nothing to suggest that Adenuga stole to become rich. He started very early in life, so let him enjoy the fruits of his labour in tranquility. Cheers! ![]() |
almondjoy:Absolutely correct! Politicians even win elections from prisons here in Naija ![]() |
Ibori's arrest means nothing. What will be news is successful prosecution and restitution. Na today we don dey hear say them don arrest people? |

Even a fool is considered wise if silence is maintained.
Please let us hear word with this EFCC and fake arrests!
