OBJ should send her congratulatory letter. It's not an easy feat. |
texazzpete:I was only refering to those who want Ngozi to be the president as patriots because the love for their country and by extension country woman, will not make them believe that the position will not be compromised by the U.S, at least for now. The pragmatists are those who actually see the situation the way it is - that the president of IBRD is for the U.S candidates alone. Besides, you could have put up your own opinion instead of giving me lectures on morphology alone. All the same, the pragmatists have been proven right! Cheers. |
Patriotism 90%, Pragmatism 10%. That's what I have seen on this particular issue. I hope the patriots win, but I am afraid, the pendulum might (should I say will) swing to the pragmatists. I keep my fingers crossed. ![]() |
@denex Abeg help me tell swiftycool to have a rethink. Swiftycool! Abi dem don give you chop? Most of the monies being stolen by our leaders are found in these your Messiah countries. If they meant well, why helping our short-sighted and greedy looting government officials milk us dry? Like the christians say that they will never go back to Egypt, I want to tell you that I will never support colonialism, neo-colonialism and imperialism. |
@almondjoy, That's the spirit man! We must inculcate love into one another if we must forge ahead. I am really pleased reading your post. Keep it up. Naija na our own. |
ogalanya:It is the hallmark of selfless leaders. Ngige will ever remain indelible in the Minds of we Anambrarians. Whether he is multifaceted or that that he has gone to the Devil, the fact remains that he liberated us. Politics is who gets what when and how. almondjoy take note. |
swiftycool:I agree that Nigeria is retrogressing, that the wind of change is blowing from better to worse. But I will never subscribe to colonial masters being 'GOD SENT'. They too had their ulterior and selfish motives. |
almondjoy:And you call that a good example? Will I be wrong to understand that you are one of the older members of Nairaland? Therefore, you equally championed the cause of trabalistic and separatist sentiments, overtly or covertly? Has the idea done us any good? ![]() almondjoy:Your expression of agreement here ('doing a good job on your own') I guess, is not supported by real conviction. I stand to be corrected to say that you are feigning what you are really not. almondjoy:Gullibility? Nope! That's why I was able to point out your stealthy and sinister moves, typical of bigots and promoters of ethnocentrism. I will never be tied down by doctrines (let alone religious), it is a stylemark of fanatics. almondjoy:What has that got to do with a Governor's aids shooting at rampageous mob? If you truely know that you are not being incitatory, why bring up the North/South dichotomy?. Did you not read the news? In as much as I want to agree that the shootings were marks of irresponsibility and wickedness, by the aids or whosoever authorized such, I will not fail to say that, students should maintain lawful ways of clamour. Digging up a portion of a federal road is certainly not to be considered as one of the ways. almondjoy:Where did you get the assertion from? You now see why I said you should stop your behind the scene comments? Please, stick to issues in the discourse - A case of a Governor's aids shooting at rampaging students. Finally, Kogi State University is not populated by the northerners alone. There are other tribes equally. Ours should be a generation of peace and reconciliation, not that of discordance. Cheers. |
denex:Words of a cruelly rapacious bigot. ![]() |
thresa8:What a misguided statement from a shallow minded fellow ![]() almondjoy:Your attempt to surrreptitiously incite members of this forum into unhealthy argument, has been revealed by your weak and illogical write up. You better discuss issues as they are presented. Stop this your behind the scene comments. |
I will always remember OBJ for his unguided utterances. |
almondjoy:It will do us some good if you clarify the touchstone that you employed in measuring Ngige's and Obi's principles. Secondly, you have failed to realise that it was Dr. Ngige who initiated the liberation of Anambrarians from the trammels of god fatherism. He also set the pace for the transformation of the state, he did all these at the expense of his political career, which many politicians will never try. ogalanya:It depends on the angle you are coming from. Both have different ideologies and pronunciamento. Ngige did well, and this was proven during his last campaign tours. |
Mamajama:Your vindication of OBJ on this discourse is at best shallow and at worst irresponsible. It beats my imagination why you refused to look at Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and others in this category, rather you chose to mention Sudan. Why don't you compare us with Chad and Niger? When Davidylan said that 'Nigerians love to bury their heads in the sands of denial', he never had you in mind, but now I put it to you that you have lend credence to that statement. Niger Delta crises is one of the direct results of the OBJ's misrule and insensitivity towards Nigerians. That you have freedom of speech and association (with OBJ), does not mean that you should taunt others with your misguided utterances. davidylan:Congo would have realised by now that, accepting our wind of change will certainly have negative effects on them. ![]() babasin:That's the point, the Nigerian system is always retrogressive, so people like mamajama who see nothing wrong with OBJ's statement is actually playing the core Nigerians - Traitors! |
Move this thread to travels or education, I am sure you will get possitive responses. Good luck! |
Mamajama:Who are the 'we'? You sound as if your votes count in Nigeria's selection, sorry election. |
davidylan:Maybe this time, hurricane of corruption and counter corruption. ![]() |
Most politicians have no shame ![]() |
@poster, Is the Republic of South Africa to be blamed for our leaders greed and short sightedness. Should their companies in Nigeria be run down because Nigeria Supported their quest for freedom? Is MTN and co to be blamed for our corrupt labour leaders blind eyes towards the plight of Nigerian workers? Do you know how many Nigerians presently reside in South Africa? Are you suggesting that they should make their immigration policy porous because Nigeria assisted them during apartheid struggle? Compatriot, South Africa is not in any way to be blamed concerning what has befallen Nigeria, after all we are still the "Giant of Africa" . Or don't you think so? ![]() |
For what? Is she worth it? Nigeria should rather die for me ![]() |
@ post Perhaps, polyandry is the answer ![]() |
Weru, as for me sha, I doesn't rike peopru rooking into my raif anyhow. If you rike, dey for rondon or be a rawyer or efen dey for united states of amelica, me wey dey for aflica dey lock raif kwa! |
Why getting at one another's neck over triffle? Are the sources of these wealth you guys are showcasing actually genuine to warrant such defence? Why fighting over what other people's houses look like? You guys should better talk of your intelletual prowess with respect to how others might gain from your experience, rather than giving credence to stolen wealth. |
davidylan:Are you saying that I am sympathetic to the Ahmadinejad's issue? I sincerely hope you didn't mean so. |
Sweet wind of change! |
davidylan:Hypocrisy! Oh! I almost forgot that it is your best word for dissenting views. @I-man, Remember that I called for absolute diplomacy concerning this issue, if things must go right. I still maintain that the US is no saint! |
McKren:Oho! |
I consider it innocuous to be ignorant of an issue than to be knowledgeable in distorted facts, geared towards selfish interest. Is the struggle for visas to western countries a peculiar case to the Iranians only? Perhaps, the same crave for emigration by Africans and other non-Iranians are the spill over of the Ahmadinejad unintelligent approach towards issues in far away Iran. What I mean was the way he answered the question 'if he intends fighting the US', and not that Iran is at war with the US. You must have heard of the word 'non-alignment'. The U.S has no right to meddle in Iranian internal affairs. He was voted in, he did not become the president by way of coup d'etat. There are laws and decisions making bodies in Iran. You may also want to 'stroke your information keyboard' and avail me of the 'knowledge' as regards where to find the nuclear weapons that took the US and her allies to Iraq. Oh! I forgot that the US did not destabilize Iraq, also that the US does not have any kind of selfish economic interest in Iraq (like oil, etc) in particular and the middle-east in general, and therefore will stop at nothing in destroying the reputation of her percieved stonewallers. If Iran calls for the death of America a thousand times a day, it is because Iran sees the US as an enemy, afterall America is not the only country in the world. You so much defend the US, pray, tell me, why is the US working on a legislation (NOPEC) to outlaw OPEC? Another kind gesture from the US, or is it otherwise? I'll agree with you that information has no substitute but on the grounds that, it must not be distorted for the sake of selfish interests. Let me state here for the purpose of records that, I am not a sympathiser of the Iranian question. I'm only saying that we should look beyond America's surreptious selfish interest. Absolute diplomacy should be encouraged, so as not to spark off another war. This time it might not be only in the Mid-East, it might spread to America, Europe, Asia etc. We must try to avert this imminent World War III, as predicted by Nostradamus. Finally, the facial reasons for the causes of these problems should not becloud our good senses of judgement. Perhaps a little perusal of 'The Nostradamus Code: World War III', will give an insight into this discourse. The book is authored by Dr. Micheal Rathford and published by Truth Revealed Publishing. ![]() |
davidylan:Should I consider a man who has been championing the cause of his people, as unintelligent? Well, lots of things make one intelligent, I have seen him speak, especially on the issue of going to war with the U.S, the issue of IAEA, the Jewish question, and lots of other international issues. But, all the same you are entitiled to your own views about Ahmadinejad. It is an issue of two sides of a coin. |
Put a call across to the Governor, the CP or the IG, and the reply will be: I did not authorise such. There is no section of our constitution which states what somebody must wear. |
Part of the wind of change blowing in Nigeria ![]() Na wah ooo! |
davidylan:Well, if you say so. But I still believe that he is actually intelligent, although he has not told the whole truth about his policies. He might be denying the presence of homosexuals in his country, because it will really do a lot of image defamation for his country if he admits such. Best regards. |
President Ahmadinejad is no doubt intelligent, because no fool becomes a president. The question therefore, should be: Are his intentions for peace geniune? That he met with some selected Rabbis does not mean that he meant well for the Jews. |

Is that how you found your religion, by following blindly to what others say without questioning?

. Or don't you think so?
