Toks2008: Since my teenage years i have imbibed a culture.
If i dont really want you i will never touch you and this is why im so sexually chaste.
If i dont see u as a lady i can marry i will not even make a pass at you.
This is why my chastity expectation from the lady i will marry might be too unrealistic. And that is the way it ought to be. You a real man my friend. I learnt my ways from my Grandfather. I saw how he doted on my Grandmother, adored her and I never one day saw him with another woman. He had a saying that he always told to us kids "A vagina is a vagina, if you have seen one, you have seen them all, so stick to the one you have at home" Just like you, if I cannot hold hands with a woman and proudly introduce her as my wife, I will not even consider the thought of any kind or manner of an affair with her. |

Just like @lestat , one of the best things I ever did was the two years I lived with my late wife before we got married. We went through the lovin' lovin' syndrome, the club scene, meeting her family as we were far from mine, meeting and bonding with each other's friends, pretend husband/wife and of course, arguments, disagreements, complaints, criticisms fights(Not physical, mind you) and best of all, make up sex.
At the end of the two years, we both agreed that we might as well get married as we were already everything but Certificated spouses to each other. My advice, try it out, make an agreement that if things do not work out after a set amount of time, you would both respectfully call it quits or try a different relationship arrangement. If most people did this, there would be less divorce and less misery in marriage.
The only thing you must remember is that problems will crop up and you must not take flight at the first sign of trouble. You are getting into the big league kiddo!
Good luck! |

My only concern is what could Obama be aiming to gain in return for this gesture.... Twenty percent of all Black people in the world are Nigerians so the first black President must want Nigeria to succeed as a showcase that black people can indeed have their s*it together just like everyone else. |

thotsofnaij: His visit didn't even make it to any of the news networks in the US. All they are talking about is Cuba opening its embassy again etc etc. These people are only paying Nigeria lip service. Imagine they are meeting with Albright who was secretary in the 90's. Honestly these people do not consider us at all.
When the president of Afganistan comes the networks carry it and Nigeria comes not 1, 1 network carries it. I swear Africa has a long way to go This is as a result of what we have done to our nation. When Tafawa balewa visited the Us in 1960, it was a big deal. He and President John F. Kennedy came to develop a very close relationship. We got a second wind in 1999 when Obasanjo visited the US and Clinton was helping him sell Nigeria at their joint Press Conference. Now, we are at our lowest and this treatment is good in that if our leaders have conscience, they will work hard so that the next time a Nigerian President visits the US, it will be a big deal. |

chukwudi44: It is the perogative of the NASS bureacracy and not senators to create or amend house rules!!! The house rules for each NASS is unique and created by the clerk prior to the inauguration of that particular house. That is why we have senate house rules 1999,2003,2007,2011 and 2015
No senate commitee or constutional amendment team sat down to create the house rules for 1999.It has always been the perogative of the clerk to prepare the house rules for the incomming senate. In the words of Senator Ike Ekweremadu
“Just as I said in a statement a few days ago, we will not be intimidated and will do everything democratically possible to protect the independence of the
He washed his hands off the allegation, saying at the time the said Senate Standing Rule/Order 2015 was made, he had ceased being the Deputy Senate President and so was no longer a principal officer to have contributed to the making of the document in question.
He said the making of a new Rule/Order for a new Senate or House was entirely the business of the National Assembly bureucracy, asking those striving to frame him up to look elsewhere.
He said: “Let me just explain here that every National Assembly, that is every Senate or House has its Standing Rule/Order as every Standing Rule/Order normally has a life span of four years. So, if you go to the Office of the Clerk to the National Assembly now, you are likely to find Standing Rules/Orders of 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and the current 2015.
“From the point of the valedictory session of the 7th Senate on 4th June, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Distinguished Senator David Mark and the rest of other members of the 7th Senate ceased to be senators until the 9th of June, when the 8th Senate was inaugurated; and as usually done, the new senators received new Standing Rule/Order 2015.
“The making of that 2015 edition of the Senate Rule/Order is the business of the bureaucracy of the National Assembly. What the 8th Senate can do, which its predecessors have sometimes done is to amend as suitable. And the process of the amendment is spelt out in the that document~ DSP Ike Ekweremadu
Anyone who wants to challenge the status quo should simply go to court Mr. Chukwudi, nice long speech but unfortunately wrong. The Clerk does not have the right to make the rules. The 8th senate can amend the rules of the 7th not the clerk. Go and look it up. It is an upright man who admits it when he is wrong. |

So this is fighting corruption? Having fun with looters huh? Nobody In jail till now. Thieves still driving C350 and G-Wagon around the town.
If I loot 20billion naira only to give back 200million naira is that the idea of fighting corruption?
I think this is going to be the new impunity.
If you are satisfied with this outcome then the joke is on you. Please go and read Dasuki's own statement. He said he handed over on Tuesday, they got a search warrant on Wednesday and came to his premises on Thursday. Now you have it twisted that they had no Search Warrants. |

gsalvatore: And the skeletons are bulletproof cars and guns?
It's like you are not following the saga or you don't read in between lines or what.
This is SSS not some police department or vigilante group we are talking about. They are "Elite" ffs.
This is the reason criminals in Nigeria are going Scott free when things are done in a sane/legal way (Oguchi the Nyanya bomb suspect comes to mind). They will not conduct a proper and effective investigation that will nail a suspect and it will stick In a court of law. All they want is free hand to act like barbarians, locking and torturing suspect without fair trail.
In as much as I want the criminals and politicians found wanting In jail, the security outfit need to be effective and smart. What's the essence of all this charade only to let him back on the street and giving the masses the most stupid excuse. You satisfied with the excuse boss? If you have followed the Saga, They did not go to arrest him. They went with a proper search warrant to search but he was tried to prevent the search. He was the one the blew the matter up. If he had nothing to hide, why did he not just allow the search to be carried out? Impunity had been the order of the day for so long that we all seem to kind of seem to have come to accept it as normal. |

The system has been so twisted that the notion of right and wrong has been lost. Did you see Dasuki's comment where he admitted that those were service rifles? He said he has not had time to return them. He admitted he had three but they found five. He has held command positions in the Army and was NSA so he ought to know the rules. When you hand over command, Firearm are handed over right away not one day later. He incriminated himself by hand over and not mentioning in his hand over note that he had those rifles in his possession. This is how a country is supposed to work. No one would have heard about it if he had not gone and shouted to curry favour. |

eyeview: Very brilliant and objective write-up. I was hoping the SSS to tell us how they saw mails or items linking him to boko-haram or how he was planning to topple this government. Instead they are telling us that he owns 12cars with 9 as bullet proofs. And how they saw some riffles in the home of a former military officer who just stepped down as NSA. Are the cars a threat to the security of the nation. What is treasonable about the things in his home? And yet somepeople here are finding it extremely impossible to read and reason objectively. They obviously are not going to tell you everything they found. Dasuki ought to know that when you hand over a position or Command, all service firearms belonging to the command need to be handed over right away, not a day later. He tired to put a spin that they were for people serving in his house and he had not had time to return them. The rules are the rules and they are made for a reason and he ought to know. He has held Military command and then run a national security outfit. He was the big Kahuna. He already handed over but conveniently forgot to mention those high power rifles. High Power rifles, bullet proof vehicles, 42,000 dollars in cash at home? What's up with that? |

gsalvatore: Oga, Do you know any American NSA chief? Do you even know how they live during and after service? Or you just want to use America as an example just to appear intelligent?
So you know the list of property of the American NSA boss? Please don't do yourself like this on the Internet.
Lemme ask you something, all the reports you read about this Dasuki saga since the very first day till this SSS report and even Dasuki's own account, (keep an open eye) don't you get the feel that something is amiss especially considering what the SSS wrote.
What is treasonable in having a bulletproof cars and Guns? Stuffs that has been with him for sometime now. How long has he been relieved of his duty before the arrest/siege. Dont you see anything stupid and unclassy the way they went about it? They lack coordination.
So even if they got some incriminating evidence that he wants to commit treason against the state, should they leave him to be walking freely?
When you think Maryln Ogar and Co were over zealous, the new top brass are now giving overzealous a new dimension. gsalvatore, Absolutely impossible for an ex-NSA in the US to have those. Dasuki himself tried to explain that he had not had time to return the rifles so your explanation is the typical Nigerian confusion causing commentary. This man is ex-Military. He rose to the rank of Colonel in the Army so he has held some command positions and he knows the laws of the Army and the DSS. When you hand over command, service firearms MUST be handed over. Not tomorrow, right away. Our system is beginning to slowly work the way it used to and how it works everywhere else. Those who lose impunity will cry foul but the masses who suffer must not go defending them. When these guys were killing our country, they never cared about public opinion. |

Some of you guys are too young to understand how Nigeria used to work when our State apparatus functioned properly. This is exactly how it is done in most countries where a lot of our services receive their training. Dasuki handed over, anything he failed to declare and which should not be in his possession can get him in trouble. He did not declare guns, he had. He is an ex Military Officer who ought to know when you hand over command, firearm in your possession meant for the command are to be handed over right away not one day later so it does not matter how many they found. He said three, they said five. You guys all call Buhari a Dullard, guess what, that guy is one of the smartest guys to pass through the Nigerian Military, do not let the accent fool you. He knew what he was doing when he did not fire the NSA and Service chief right away. We are beginning to see how Boko Haram was being funded. More people will be taken down. It is a matter of time.
