DontBullshitMe: The Discos aren't charging you for the real price that will ordinarily cover for the cost of the production of the "little" electricity you enjoyed.
They charge you for a %, the government covers the rest.
So, what is the point of saying I can't pay, when the system is already designed that I pay before I use?
Let them give everybody pre paid metering, then watch who pays or not.
Afterall, if i can't subscribe, i can't use it
DontBullshitMe: Do you know presently, electricity is still being partially subsidised? They promised to stop in December but I doubt it.
FG pays billions of naira yearly so that electricity tariffs are lower than the actual price. Hear that. But you want 24/7 power supply when you can't even pay for the little they generate without Government intervention.
Nigerians want a Capitalist result on a Socialist plan.
I have a pre paid meter already
So which power supply am I not paying for?
GloriousGbola: Sincerely I suspect someone in the team was running wayo.
They will oversize the gen so they can chop money, then inflate the diesel use so they can chop further.
There is a company that introduced automated tank gauging for diesel storage. You had a real time online report on your diesel use. A lot of facilities officers got into serious trouble after their companies adopted the solutions
One drum is 250 litres. I used to drive and drop 2 drums at that site, whenever it was my shift.
I agree that there were losses due to theft, but that Gen drinks up to 400.
iamoyindamola: I am saying if they bring the actual price of electricity and there is 24-hour electricity People will pay I can assure you, if only you know the length we go through to have solar, generator etc
I worked in a Digital Advertising firm.
On a site, we use 500 litres of diesel to power the board every day; 365 days in a year.
In today's price list, that's 400k everyday on diesel, and this what many industries go through every blessed day
Whether private sector or not, i cannot fathom how electricity bill will run into 400k every day, if there was steady power
nihilistjnr: Government really should not be involved in running the power sector. That sector should be fully deregulated. The main problem is that Nigerians cannot afford power if they had to pay actual price. Here in the UK, it came out last week that energy companies were breaking into their customer's houses to forcibly install prepayment meters, due to the large number of defaults on energy payments
If FG should deregulate the sector in it's entirety, power issues would probably be completely fixed within 4-5 years...but when you have to pay 100k monthly electric bill, can you cope?
While we have neighbouring countries that enjoy an almost steady power, i don't think electric bills there are breath choking.
UK is too far to forecast what it will look like. There are African countries with very decent electricity supply. Why not look into them, and see if the bill will be too high?
Donjazet2: See as this life dey. I opened Twitter and this was the very first thing I saw.
Disstroy I know that this issue is being disagreed with because of the messenger, because I am the one saying it and people here feel I have flogged it to death but that doesn't take away from the truth. I keep sounding it, that tinubu and his supporters are going full blown tribal. It is what it is.
This is hundeyin a yoruba guy, highlighting this same problem of narratives. Please read this carefully.

You and David are not on the same page.
liveLongNprospa: Evidence from 2019 elections attack towards igbo dominated settlement is littered on the Internet.
You say someone should not be emotional like a woman about issues that basically involves lives.
You think these conversations are plucked out from thin air.
You think the people around igbo dominated regions in Lagos state do not fear the possibility of attacks during this elections.
You are talking about Igbos getting posts in Lagos.. Please remind me when votes in Lagos state really started becoming a do or die affair for a national party. You have tinubu who stepped into national politics in 2015 from a place of proper influence and you think he will not ensure that Lagos delivers for apc coz of optics. Lool.. See abeg let me face God today🙏
List the Igbo dominated areas that were attacked in 2019 elections
Infact, let me list them for you, because i am 500% sure you dont reside here
Ojo Festac Amuwo Igando/Iba ...ati be be lo
Which one was attacked?
Don't run oh. Don't type long epistles. Just use the links you provided and tell us where Igbos were attacked
Those attacks coincided with the introduction of tinubu into national politics. Before then what was the importance of tinubu delivering Lagos.. Did he belong to any major party? Why una dey talk like say to reason realistically dey difficult.
TrebleChamp: Had Tinubu not complained about this policy last week, this APC/Buhari supporters lamenting now would have been singing praises of this same policy. They would even show us examples of countries that implemented such policy, like they usually do whenever we criticise Buhari/APC...
Everybody knows this.
If Tinubu hails the policy tomorrow, watch how they will do a sharp U-turn and support it.
Instead of tending unreserved apologies to Nigerians for the hardship of the past 8 years under APC rule, they are pointing at imaginary Cabals and still campaigning for Buhari promax in the person of Tinubu. 🤨
Tinubu that cannot even attend a debate, dishing out gaffes since he won primaries is the person that will not have Cabals
Donjazet2: That there are very successful Igbo people in Lagos, (right from time) does not mean that that there is not a present danger looming or rather hateful narratives being groomed.
What I see here is you playing the ostrich, that is burying your head in sand to pretend not to be aware of what is happening around you..
Tinubu's wife said, we no trust you igbos again. A hardcore tinubu supporter here has a solid history of haunting Igbo people online.
Mc oluomo came out to blame Igbo people for spreading fake news when it was revealed transporters were being forced to pay for tinubu paraphernalia.
I could go on and on to show you a pattern of tribal brewing but of course you would keep diverting. What if I showed you other Yoruba people kicking against tinubu's tribal politics, what would you say?
We have debunked that Remi's own time after time.
Can i see that of the bolded? I haven't seen it before
raumdeuter: I remember for like a week on my laptop I had this music on repeat cos the beat was sick. Na their first album I take rock most of my NYSC years
Those days, hits takes a long of time before it fizzles out.
Maybe because there were less musicians then.
Today, everyday get one new song wey just come out
