Politics › Re: Who Will Succeed Nigeria As Giant Of Africa? by JaceBlaze: 5:39pm On Sep 19, 2021 |
newbornmacho: Just wondering
If Nigeria balkanizes, which country could take over as the most powerful black nation on earth?
Note that south Africa is not really a country built by blacks and for blacks and their negritude is in doubt.
Could Ethiopia?
Could any of the breakaway republics from Nigeria succeed in doing this?
Could biafra?
Could the yoruba nation team up with their kin in Benin and Togo to create a mega yoruba nation?
I'm thinking of cultural dominance, music and the arts, scientific advancement, economy , military.
Or will the black world have no more giants but become an inconsequential bloc of the world? Well seeing that Nigeria's giant of Africa title is mainly attributed to its overpopulation and not industrialization, technology and infrastructural development I can confidently affirm that we will never be the giant of Africa. And to be honest we never really cared about this giant ooga-booger-empty chest-beating slogan. |

TMKsouth: Yeah, it's a culture over there to insult other people but they've got very thin skins - especially when being taken on by black South Africans. I guess they want us to take the high road and be the bigger person.Unfortunately some of us weren't wired like that. You come with a knife I come with a gun |

mariahAngel: I thought South Africa was a thriving country...
How come the citizens are japaing? What’s their excuse? Most Nigerians there are illegals while South Africans are there with legit papers. So it's you who need a very good excuse for illegally crossing the Mediterranean into the UK,not us.

TMKsouth: SA is indeed a powerhouse of African music but that doesn't mean it's the only one. The fact it's not recognised in Nigeria is testimony to the fact you're a one-genre country (autotuned afrobeats).
All Nigerians into rap acknowledge SA is the African champion, House, amapiano, R&B, Gqom, afropop, choral, opera, orchestral, etc. Nigeria is limited to afrobeats.
I've seen Nigerians frolicking around SA djs and shooting videos in SA instead, I don't know what you're talking about. Right now Nigerian artists are jumping on the amapiano bandwagon to remain relevant coz amapiano is next global phenomenon (and yet u say SA is not a powerhouse - I laugh in Xhosa )
Cassper Nyovest was referring to how your music is marketed - I mean really, if South Africans wanted to be Nigerians u would see more of us on your streets instead of the other way round. Burna is the one who wants to be South African. He swore he would never set foot in SA until we apologized for xenophobia, but weeks later he was booked for a concert in SA without any apology been issued. Then South Africans objected to his presence in the country and got his concert cancelled for not apologising to South Africans first . A few months later Burna was singing in Zulu to appease South Africans. That's levels right there bro, show some respect Oh I'm probably few days late to this party but this was so beautifully put. |
