Christianity EtcRe: Who Really Rules The World, Jehovah God or Satan?? by Jackie(f): 2:48am On Dec 28, 2005
God created us out of his own image and gave us dominion over the whole world ,, but because our God will not force you on your decision. It's up to you to decide if you want to follow him or follow satan.

God is in control of this world in all aspects, and God said if u want to follow him be ready to carry the cross.  Following God is not an easy task, why because the devil is constantly around wanting to destroy steal and kill. You have to be firm and u will make it through God that strengthens u.

However because the devil's seems less difficult because of the earthly things Satan seems to be ruling but not in control.

And for those that decide to take this path then Satan is ur ruler.

As for me i am for God he is my ruler and my controller

Right as am typing this i have two friends (they are brothers) here with me that have "ja" only to be deported back to Nigeria. They did dropped out from the university, sold some family lands and stuff just to get out from here. It's kind of  painful because when they are going you won't be anything to them
See this is what i don't understand.  Please advice them never to drop out of school untill they have actually gotten the Visa. Regardless what they say if u come here with a degree it will safe u some time, and money. The degree might not be fully accepted but some credits will be transfered.

Excellent topic!!!!.  GREENER PASTURE I AGREE 100% Some of u say working here is a form of slavery, this is rather derogating. It's not only Africans involved in the so call Slavery,  Americans themselves are also involvled, So what do u all say about that.? huh I will say onething, American will not have been what it is today, if it hadn't been of Hardwork, detemination. They are hardworking, determine, innovative and a mindset to succeed. CEO, Director or No CEO in a company, everybody is the same, i mean they are have a mind set to success. Failure is not in their Vocab.  Unfortanately our society has been polluted with bribery and corruption, embezzelement, and situation is deploring. Back home before you see a CEO of, some company you have to go through 3 or 4 channels, at some point you have to bribe, why?, no transparency, no freedom. This society teaches people to be responsible, if you work hard and get you education straight, u are fine. You have incentives that can put u through college without u paying a dime, u  college work studies are avalaible, scholarships, and besides there are jobs that you can do part time and pay your tuitions, nd above all technologies are @ your finger tips and this make life easy. Unfortuanley our society is handicapped of all these.

I will take an example from my self. When i came to this country i was working in  one restaurant part time and was so amazed at what i saw. The Manager will leave his office and flip burgers, he will clean tables, he will serve customers, he will mob the floor, when we are very busy. Why was he doing all these? cuz ultimate goal is to increase revenue for the companyand success.

People when i saw all these, i was like PLueeezzzz he is just a restaurant manager, but nope i got it all wrong, This is the atttitude  in americans which we don't practice. I finished my college and i am now working with some big Company and it's still same attitude. If you don't feel comfortable about any thing walk up to the director and air out you views, abi you have the right to air it out.

I mean let's be honest with our selves, these are just 2 of the zillions differences which pulls us down. They have a different mindset than we do. In Nigeria, how can a director give a helping hand to this workers?

This is a land of opportunity, You reap what you sow. If you travel from  Nigeria to US and decide to work minears jobs for the rest  of your life that's your cup of tea, but hey if u decide to get some education, hang out with positive people, Pray to God for directions, IT WILL PAY OFF, IF U ARE GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO, u will excell.

And, so far Nigerians in the US at least the ones i know are doing great, They came here with determination, exploiting the opportunities, got their degrees and they are doing great.

And i will say Home is Home and i cannot compromise the fact that i don't like Nigeria, but going home to work where? huh for how much? cry going through all messy briberysand corruptions, everything is very crocket, just kills my spirit.

cheers

RomanceRe: Help Me Out: I Don't Fall in Love Again by Jackie(f): 5:57am On Dec 10, 2005
Chika if i may add somethg to this thread. "How could u say leave God out of this" U've gat some real issues here men,, and u need some help. U have to seek the face of God "tres importante" no way out bro. First u need let her know how u felt, forgive, and for all that we care , u shd be more than happy that she revealed that side of her to u. Wouldn't it have been worst if u gat marrried and then she cheats on u. That would have shattered u. FOR every dissappointment there is a blessing. If u keep this in mind. U shd be able to move on.

Above all seek God, pray for peace, directions and guidance, and u will see for God self what God will do to do. And believe too sha;;;;. God will sent someone u way and u will not even give a wick at ur ex and will be thankfull for everything.
So
1) Forgive her :- this will give u peace.
2) Pray to God for peace and directions and guidance
3) Believe God for mighty things, stop saying i can't love again, just believe and have faith and u will see everything unfold.

Christianity EtcRe: How Does God Talk to People? by Jackie(f): 1:37am On Dec 10, 2005
He sure does talk to EVERYONE, everytime and in many ways just that some people have a better receptive altitude than others..... wink by this i mean if you are following after him, reading the bible and praying and believing him for mighty things, there is a tendency that u will hear him for every thing u are doing. cheesy Take for example somebody got on ur last nerves or told lies abt u and u're planning to curse da hell out of that person, and some small voice tells you not to do it, and the other voice is so strong and is saying Jackie you have to tell this person ur piece of mind, it's a slight on your personality , u can't let this happen to? and bla bla bla, Now for searching after GOD, you should know that the small voice telling u not to do it is From God, but for someone who really doesn't care abt God rolleyes rolleyes will act on the strong voice.

So it all depends on the person, and the level of rightousness. That not withhstanding God talks to everybody, thru different media. Just get more close to him and you will be able to distinguish his voice from all other voices.
Christianity EtcRe: The Church of Jesus Christ: Object of Mockery or Object of Praise? by Jackie(f): 5:55am On Nov 02, 2005
It is also very important to know that we are at the last days like it or not. and the Bible says all sorts os things will be happening, false prophets, people standing against the church, but most important is to fight for self salvation as Layi rightly puts it. The Bible says (Ten thousand will fall to your right and another ten thousand on your left and you shall stand still):- just a paraphrase.
You all be blessed

Christianity EtcRe: Are Women More Religious than Men? Why? by Jackie(f): 3:35am On Oct 06, 2005
NNaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh it's just that by nature women are nuturers, very sensitive, more emotional while men are the challengers, react more in thier thoughts than in thier words and so they comes accross as being rigid and hard as compare to the woman.

Now to guys wink not a bad thing ooh , that;s the way God planned it so this is from God bad thing is that some men use these Godly qualities in an abusive way. cry WAR BETIDE YOU cry
RomanceRe: Why Do You Pick Up Calls on Your Lover's Phone? by Jackie(f): 3:07am On Oct 06, 2005
Picking up ur man's call wink shouldn't be an issue should it? Thing is sh'dn't be some suspicious drive behind it. f course if u go visiting andlet say he's taking a shower a phone rings, why sh'd u not answer the call, of course not being fishy or things like that, he doesn't have anything to hide anyways,
On the other hand if he was present when the phone rings, then he should pick up his phone, It's wrong for u fighting to answer his calls.

Ladies please don;t do this. This is an act of insecurity ,distrust and low self exteem which doesn't portray a positive image of a Lady tongue yep i mean it

If u suspect ur man in anyway shocked, sit him down and communcate, get down to the bottom of it, pray for directions and wisdom and if u are not satisfy with the situation lipsrsealed, MOVE ON

Sade why don't u call the woman in question and talk to her. She should know what she will  go thru if she has to be reported to the authority" Child Abuse" I would suggest call the woman and hear her own part of the story. Why is she treating the little girl with  disgust?

Powerful message by Minister Creflo Dollar

This question is a valid one and many of us have asked the same thing. Some of us who didn't ask the question have suffered tremendously because we choose a mate. I want to begin answering the question by saying this - God does not "choose" a mate for you. This is a misconception that many of us have as believers.

Creflo Dollar did a wonderful teaching on this and basically what Pastor Dollar said is that God makes "presentations - It's up to you to choose."
The Lord doesn't make choices like that for us.  He doesn't even make the choice for us to be saved. We have to "choose ye this day whom we will serve." If God doesn't force salvation on us, He certainly will not force a mate on us. So, I'm so sorry to tell you, you can't put it on God. The choice is yours. That being said, God will certainly not have us ignorant.

While He does not choose our mates, He "presents" potential mates who, based on His infinite knowledge, He feels will meet our needs. My, my, my, If I'd only listened to the leading of the Holy Ghost and not my flesh. But that's another story.... Moving right along.  I also want to add that it just as important to be the right person as it is to choose the right person.

If you are not all you need to be, even if God were to send the right man/woman, you could not be in a position to receive him/her. You won't know how to treat him/her, talk to him/her, love him/her, comfort him/her, support him/her, nurture him/her etc.

Ladies, I'm going to help the brothers out a little bit. Some ladies say we want a good man, with a good job, handsome, built. Don't get mad with me now, but are you where you need to be? Are you a good woman with a good job? Do you make yourself attractive and do you keep yourself in shape? Or are you living beneath your privilege a spoiled, big mouth, loud, unruly woman that never combs your hair, your fingernails are dirty and you got runs in your stockings and scuff marks on your shoes?  Lawd, y'all ain't going to like me today. That's alright. You just need to be honest with yourself. You want a man that looks like Denzel, shaped like Wesley Snipes, and paid like Michael Jordan, but you don't keep yourself up, shaped like Miss Piggy, and your credit is so bad you can't buy a tube of toothpaste on credit. Did I say something about credit? ( Let me leave that credit thing alone!)

But seriously, you've got to bring something to the table too. What do you have to offer this wonderful brother that you're believing in God for? One has to be honest with one's self.  Now, after you have examined yourself, ask yourself some basic questions about the man you're considering:

1. Is He/She Saved?

That's the first question you need to ask.
If not, that person is not the one and if you think he or she is the one, then that might be the person, but not the one right now. You need to wait. The bible clearly states that women are to be submissive to our husbands. It is difficult to submit to a man who is not submissive to God. He is not equipped to lead you. I don't care how much money he makes, what kind of house he lives in, what kind of car he drives, or what's in his bank account. If he does not know Jesus, he is not the one.

2. Do you have the same beliefs?

If you believe in speaking in tongues, does he/she believe in it too? If you are a woman minister, does he believe in women preachers? (Some brothas have a hard time with this one....). What was his/her religious/spiritual up bringing? Does he greet people by saying  "Praise the Lord" or does he say  "Assalaamalaikum"? Would either of those bother you?

3. Do you have the same interests?

I know a couple of sistas that happen to love to read, sing, write, watch soap operas, talk shows etc. But, in a minute, they will beat any man to the TV for a good football game, boxing match, and basketball game. Most men can appreciate that! What things do you have in common?

4.Is he/she interested in you?

Do you have to call all the time?  Go see him/her all the time? Initiate all communications? If so, the brotha/sister don't want you. I just have to make it plain. If you have to do all the calling, all the writing, and take all the initiative, just face facts and move on. Don't run behind him/her chasing them, because even if he/she is a little bit interested, that will turn him/her off. A person with some determination knows how to pursue what they want. If it's you they want, he/she knows where you are. You have too much to offer somebody to be playing cat and mouse.

5. Can he support you? (THIS ONE IS FOR THE LADIES..)

"Can he pay your bills...can he pay your telephone bill...can he pay your automobile..." or is he a "Triflin' good for nothin' type of brotha..." It sounds like the women are gold diggers and for a woman of the world that might be the case, but we're talking about what the Bible says. According to the Word, the man is supposed to be the head-IN EVERYTHING! Some men want to be the head until it's time to pay bills. When it's time to pay bills then we all equal. We are all one in the Spirit. Man, please! Ask the man if he can and is willing to support you if necessary. He might get mad, and if he does "he ain't the one." If a man is not willing to provide for you, he doesn't think very much of you. Leave him alone. That doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't work, but if you work, it should be because of your choice, not of necessity. I'm in the book, y'all. Don't get mad with me.

Then ask yourself some basic questions:

      * Is this a person you want to see naked for the rest of your life?

      * Are you physically attracted to him?

      * Does he/she have other children? If so, are you ready to be a parent to children you didn't birth?

      * Is he/she your spiritual equal or greater?

Ask yourself these and other questions and be honest. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and let things line up with the Word of God. Does he/she fit the bill? Will he love you as Christ loves the church? Will she willingly submit to you? Will he be your provider, protector, comforter, nurturer, and a godly head? Will she be your helpmate? If you feel good about the answers to your questions, then pray about it and trust God. Chances are, you've got the right one! If not, keep waiting. It's better to be single for a little while longer than marry the wrong person and head to divorce court. Trust me.

Hope this has done you some good. "Often the most difficult part of faith is when no more action can be taken and nothing remains but to wait patiently for God to work out His will. It is at this moment that doubts arise and anxiety creeps in.

YOU ARE BLESSED, SO BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE TODAY.....

Christianity EtcRe: How Did God Reveal Himself to You? by Jackie(f): 2:52am On Sep 09, 2005
@exu
God came to us 2000 years ago and none of us were in exitence by then,  and he's still gonna come, so we believe and live by the book of life which is the Bible.

exu:
as for 'god' being all around us, well that may or may not be true...but we all know that the world is not all good, and yet 'god' created everything, including those deemed responsible for the evil we see...
This is very true but again this is your choice,  God created the world, and he is very flexible  The Bible says i give you life and dead and it's totally your choice.  So for those who believe  in God, he sure does surronds them, but if you don't believe in God then u re doomed, they do all sorts of evil.
