RomanceRe: Embracing The Wind Of Change (focus On Homosexuality) by JacksonD7: 1:13pm On May 27, 2017
RaggedyAnn:
Nigeria is a country whose ignorance still gives power to black magic; where genital mutilation is still practiced; and where a senator will celebrate international women's day by stating that men should be more magnanimous to women by marrying multiple women so that they can be better cared for. We are far from being civilized. Far from enlightenment. To say that we are the cradle of black civilization is a painful joke.

The time isn't here yet, but young educated Nigerians are becoming increasingly more liberal and humane. Hopefully, that humanity would translate into accommodating homosexuality legally one day.

I support everyone's right to be happy so long as it is not in conflict with another's. Homosexuality does not threaten me in any way. And it baffles me how some people can be so disgusted by homosexuals, claiming religious grounds, and not have the same sentiment for murderers and rapists and thieves.
Nigerians are disgusted by rapists, murders and thieves. Don't twist facts and common sense to fit your liberal ideology.
RomanceRe: Embracing The Wind Of Change (focus On Homosexuality) by JacksonD7: 1:11pm On May 27, 2017
MrTeymee:
Although a large percentage of countries globally has embraced the LGBT community and indoctrinated them as normal members of society, Nigeria has taken a different approach going against this fast rising global trend. A large percentage of Nigerians are yet to accept homosexuals as normal members of society viewing homosexuality as an abomination or unsuitable for societal acceptance.

In the year 2013, the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition act was passed into law. This carried a 14 year jail sentence for persons caught practicing activities that indicates homosexuality, thus placing Nigeria on the global watch as human right groups and activist fought for the neutralization of this law which was targeted at good Nigerians whose only crime was a different approach to sexuality.

Since the inception of this law, there .have been cases of violence, stigmatization, mob violence, arbitrary arrest, torture in detention, physical and sexual molestation against ‘gay’ people. This law on its own created an opportunity for homophobic violence without fear of legal consequences. Although these activities has had little effect to curb the increasing population of the LGBT community here in Nigeria, today we have Nigerians who have come out openly and declared their sexual status or preferences without fear of consequences.

Nigeria has and will always be the cradle of black civilization. Our cultural norms and values runs deep and far like the two rivers that transverse the length o the country. The African tradition frowns (this is even a mild term to describe it) upon homosexual activities. It sees it as barbaric and a taboo. Nigeria being largely religious also condemns the act on the premise of it being a sacrilege (a major sin) in the sight of God in all factions and ramification.

So because of these should little Tolu be put o jail just because he discovered he likes the company of his own sex more than the opposite sex, should Elize continue to live in fear and terror just because she is afraid of what society would think or do to her if she reveals her sexuality.

I am not a supporter of homosexuality, but I support humanity and humanity triumphs or should triump over sexuality. We should never allow the laws that are supposed to protect us be the reason we kill each other.

Say no to any form of violence and stigmatization.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle that we cannot and will not tolerate. In case you didn't know homosexuals are basically virus factories walking around. When AIDS was discovered it was originally known as Gay-related immune deficiency(GRID) because it was first discovered in homosexual men.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay-related_immune_deficiency

According to statistics 1 in 5 homosexuals are HIV positive and half don't even know their status

http://www.webmd.com/hiv-aids/news/20100923/1-in-5-gay-bi-men-have-hiv-nearly-half-dont-know#1

For obvious reasons homosexuals are not allowed to donate blood in the US, the WHO even advised homosexuals to ensure they use condoms regularly.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_who_have_sex_with_men_blood_donor_controversy

Homosexuals rank high in suicide and drug abuse list, they're also the most promiscuous beings on the planet

http://www.thetrevorproject.org/pages/facts-about-suicide

https://carm.org/statistics-homosexual-promiscuity

Adding this facts up one sees that embracing homosexuality can only lead to disaster, don't let the liberal hype fool you homosexuals are not the loving oppressed victims they're portrayed as. They are a serious societal hazard.

You're lucky you learnt art as a kid, I hated art when I was younger. I got into secondary school, and my best friend made me fall in love with art.

After years of false starts and having a successful 6 month streak, I'm starting over from the basics. In five days, I'm launching a study program where I have to draw a minimum of 500 faces in a month, wish me luck.

Art, Graphics & VideoJackson's Sketchbook by JacksonD7(op):
Sometime in May/June 2016 after years of having false starts, I finally decided to take art seriously. I got a sketchbook and I wrote "1" on the top of a page and started drawing, I've been drawing for over 8 months since then.

I made some progress in that time, but for the last 3 to 4 months I've found my progress stalling. I also found out that I never took time to study the fundamentals of art. In the next couple days I'm going to be relearning art from the ground up, and I opened this thread to document my progress.

I'll try to post stuff here regularly, and pardon me if the art doesn't look so good now. I'm still learning and I got a long way to go, fast forward to the most recent page if you want to see my latest work.

PS - Sorry for the low resolution photos, I'm using a camera that shoots at 2MP max. I'll get a better one when I can.

PSS - Critique is appreciated

You made a point about marriage and family requiring a lot work, these days I find myself constantly pursuing challenges that require a lot of effort. So, the hard work of marriage is definitely something I'm looking forward to.

Last week I opened a thread, and posted an article giving reasons why I wanted to get married in my twenties. As promised, this week I'm giving out five reasons why I want to get married in my thirties. First on the list

1. You'll have more time for yourself

Pushing your date of marriage backwards gives you more time for self indulgence. What is that dream you want to fulfill before you get old; visit Spain, go skydiving, climb the Eiffel tower?, whatever it is you've got time to fulfill those dreams before you get bogged down by marital responsibilities.

2. You get more mature with age

With age comes wisdom, in your thirties you would have seen the world with open eyes, got your fantasies shattered and faced reality head on. The maturity gained would be beneficial, for example you'd have more realistic expectations, and you would have gotten better at managing your finances. Also when you reach a certain level of maturity in life

3. You know what you want

When you're young you want it all, as you get older you begin to have a clearer idea of what you truly desire. This knowledge is invaluable when making a life changing decision such as, choosing who you want to spend the rest of your life with.

4. You have more experience and realistic expectations

In your thirties, you've probably dated a couple women and gotten a taste of what it's like to be in a relationship, you've also probably come to the conclusion that there's no such thing as a perfect 10. Using your dating experience and having reasonable expectations, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a good woman to settle down with.

5. You've gained financial security

A 10 year financial independence plan launched at age 25 will mature when you're 35, by that time you would probably have a meaningful amount of savings accumulated over the years. And if you've been working through your twenties, then you would know the thick and thin of business and this information could come in handy in any of your future financial endeavours. While its not mandatory to be rich before you get married, it still doesn't hurt to at least have some financial stability before you tie the knot. After all, women are attracted to men with resources.

So there you have it, five reasons why I want to get married when I'm a little older. Do you agree with these reasons?, or do you think the ones from last week made more sense?. Kindly drop your comments below and let me know.

Why?
RomanceWhy I Want To Get Married In My 20s by JacksonD7(op):
A lot of young men in the world today face a dilemma, do they get married while they're young, settle down and start a family. Or do they use the wild years of youth exploring the world and settle down when they've got age, experience, and finances on their side. As for me I want to do both, without further ado here are seven reasons why I want to get married in my twenties.

1. Couples who marry younger enjoy more sex

Studies have shown that younger couples have more sex on average than their older counterparts, how would you not be active when you wake up every morning with a beautiful woman by your side?. An added bonus is that you can do this without the anxiety associated with avoiding unwanted pregnancies and STDs. What comes with having lots of sex?, I hope you guessed babies because

2. Younger couples are likely to have more children

It is common knowledge that a woman is in her sexual prime during her late teen and early adult years (18 - 24 ), ladies who marry early tend to have more children due to higher fertility rates in young women. It's also healthier for a mother to carry her child young, because the risk of having birth complications increases with age, its also healthy for the child. For example, the risk of giving birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome increases with the mother's age.

At age 20 the risk is 1 in 1,600

At age 25 the risk is 1 in 1,300

At age 30 the risk is 1 in 1,000

At age 35 the risk is 1 in 365

At age 40 the risk is 1 in 90

At age 45 the risk is 1 in 30

Younger couples also have more energy to raise kids, which can be useful when dealing with the sleepless nights that some children are known to cause.

3. Opportunity to reclaim your life's passions(or find new ones)

If you get married in your twenties, and you were done having kids on your thirties, most if not all of your kids would be out of the house before you clock 50 or a little after that. This frees up your time, which you can now use to reclaim your passions or find new ones. This can be anything; playing the piano, art, travelling the world, or starting a business.

4. You get to be a cool grandparent

Since you're younger, you'll probably find it easier to keep up with the grandkids. This will in turn help you build a strong relationship with them.

5. You can get married without family pressure

If you get married early, you can skip the episodes of uncles and aunties berating you and holding family meetings to find out why you're still single. The men won't have to go through two hour lectures with their fathers, outlining why a man at 40 should have a wife and at least two kids. The women won't have to get into rush hour marriages when their biological clock starts ticking. Seriously, get married young and you can avoid a whole lot of drama.

6. It makes you more responsible

First off, getting married young will help you avoid most of the excess baggage that young people tend to accumulate (numerous ex boyfriends/girlfriends, heartbreaks etc). Secondly, seeing as you've got a family looking up to you, you're forced to man up and shoulder your responsibilities. This leaves you with little to no room to play funny games, your wife is depending on you, and your kids are watching you, so you've got to set an example. You're expected to be a provider and cater for your family which is not a bad thing because

7. Married men earn more

Why wouldn't you work hard to make dough when you've got your nuclear and extended families looking up to you. Having a family is a huge motivator for men to be productive, and this leaves no room for idleness. Unless, you want to end up like Karl Marx who had four of his children die of starvation simply because he wouldn't man up and support his family. (He was too busy laying the groundwork for communism).

That's it seven reasons why I want to get married young. Do you agree with my reasons?, or do you think a man should wait longer before he thinks of getting married?. Your comments below.

PS- This is not the end, next week( hopefully) I'll post an article giving reasons why I want to get married in my 30s. So keep your eyes open for the next thread.

I am currently dating a girl in secondary school so I am speaking from experience. They are the best category of girls to date because they are easy to control and influence. Once you start dating girls at that age, you are able to guide and protect them from randy guys who might want to take advantage of them due to their naivety.

First of all discipline your thoughts, its sensible to go after young women in the 18-19 age range but you don't do that with a lustful mindset. If you can set your mind on the right path and find an 18 year old to groom up then you'd be doing society a favour.
RomanceRe: Men Are Getting Weaker And Women Are Getting Stronger by JacksonD7: 11:27pm On Apr 24, 2017
putit:
In recent times, men are getting weaker while women are getting stronger. Most men now act weak around women. That's why there are so many spoilt n disrespectful young women out there.

It's damn crazy..

There are so many wussy men who now eat up and condole these girls bad behaviors because they need sex from them. These spoilt women now feel they can eat their cake and have it. That's bad

Women can't live without men and they know it.. It's no surprise all my life I have heard women say they would rather hangout with male instead of female because they tend to get along with guys. And note that women with more male friends have more sex but not actually with them.

If a woman is placed in a jungle were there are wild animals, I doubt if she'll come out alive but put a man in a jungle full of wild animal, there is possibility he'll survive because men have physical attributes that can help him fight predators. Men have the body suited for fighting both animal and man.

Women may not possess the physical attributes of men but they have the ability to emotionally manipulate men..It's no wonder a girl of 20 years old can make a man of 45 years old behave like a 5 years old boy. Sex is the most powerful tool women have against men

Women are the gate keepers of sex while men are the gate keepers of commitment/relationships. Women knows they are the sexual gate keepers, and they know some men can sacrifices their kidneys (or even their life) for sex. That's why they take full advantages of it to emotionally manipulate men to get what they want.

Everybody always tell women to be cautious when it comes giving men sex but nobody told men to be cautious when it comes to the amount of ATTENTION they give women.

SEX is the most powerful weapon a woman have against a man

ATTENTION (or validation) is the most powerful weapon a man have against a woman.

Men are not taking advantage of the power ( of attention) they have. Women needs men attention. That's why they spend long time making up and painting their face before stepping out of their house
Attention is important to women ( and I think they love male attention more than sex itself). A man can manipulate a woman’s desire through adjustments to the amount or intensity of attention he gives to or withholds from her.

That's why a woman will chase a man that pay/give less attention to her.
We live in a feminized society today where men have no clue what it means to be a man. There's hope on the air cause the neomasculinity movement is changing the lives of many men and helping them realize who they are.
