10. Blue balls

I'm don't really know what causes this, but what I do know is that it hurts like hell. Experiencing this feels like having your balls set on fire, or having weights attached to your testicles. It's definitely not a pleasant feeling.

It goes away after a while, but if the pain becomes unbearable at any point. Soak your testicles in hot or cold water for 5-10 minutes ( I know it sounds crazy, but it works).

7. Flashbacks

Expect to see images from the porn you've viewed in the past, including the ones you saw years ago and totally forgot. When these images come, do yourself a favour and ignore them. Don't try to fight it, just let it slide.

In the long run the frequency of these flashbacks will reduce, you'll get them from time to time. But, it won't be a bother anymore.

8. Creative Blank

For all the creatives out there, you might experience a blank state of mind when it time to work. In my last streak, I just couldn't write or draw. It lasts for a while, but eventually fades away.

9. Flatline

I never experienced this, but numerous reports tell of a period of sexual insensitivity where you become dead sexually. Don't freak out when this happens, just like everything other thing on this list it'll fade away in time.

4. Mental Debates

Expect debates between the angels and demons of your mind, as your dopamine starved brain starts looking for a way to rationalize another dose.

Remind yourself why you're on a reboot, look behind to see what your life was as an addict. Look forward to what you'll gain when you succeed, and by all means ignore the demons.

5. Insomnia

This is most likely to affect those who make it a habit to fap before bed. You don't need masturbation to fall asleep, and if you're having a hard time dozing off. Take deep breaths for 10 to 15 minutes, this will make you relaxed enough to slip into sleep land .

Expect your sweet sleep to get assaulted by dreams with sexual content. You'll most likely wake up from those with an erection, and sex hormones flowing like a river.

You'll be tempted to roll over and fap, but you shouldn't. Instead roll over and think of Sugar Candy Mountain, the Empire State Building, Las Vegas or any other place you want to be.

After a while your subconscious mind will take over, and you'll dream of being there (I'm serious this works).

What To Expect During A Reboot

During the reboot process, you'll come across a wide range of experiences that can either aid, or hamper your efforts at losing your addiction.

It's time to get a heads up, about the good and bad things that could happen to you during your reboot, starting from the bad.

During your reboot expect

1. Withdrawal Symptoms

During the early days of your reboot, you will most likely experience withdrawal symptoms. This often comes in the form of intense sexual urges.

You'll find yourself burning inside, desperately looking for a reason to fap. My last successful streak in January had me rolling on the floor writhing, while my head was screaming with the urge to fap.

Experiencing withdrawal symptoms, might make you feel like you're going through hell. But you shouldn't give into the urge. The worst withdrawal will only last a couple days or weeks, if you can coast through that period then you're good.

2. Headaches

You might be plagued with a nasty headache after a few days. If sleeping and waking up doesn't cure it, try chicken soup. Seriously, it works wonders.

3. Brain Fog

This is a hazy feeling where you just can't seem to direct your thoughts. It's hard to think when this hits you, but it fades away in a few days.
