Nigerians are known travelers! They’re conquering you guys in all spheres of life in. At Nkrumah circle the big time businesses are owned by Nigerians. Ghanaians are so poor that my 140 naira which is your 2 cedis will buy more goods than your 2 cedis can buy.
The best constituency project in Ghana is building toilet. The Ga man will build house with no toilet and still put the house for rent in dollars!
Currently Ghana is at the mercy of the Chinese who engage in galamsey activities with protection from security agent.
The everyday robbery and carnage going on in Kasoa, James town, Nima, Chokor, Tamale and others are not ringing bells in your miserable life. If Burkina Faso shut her border today Ghanaians will die of starvation. You produce nothing not even the detergent you use to wash your cloth.
Ghana is so poor that they cry when others shut down their borders. 70% resident of Accra have no access to toilet.
Ghana has something!

That’s not a question.

He should ask himself if his brother or his Mother is in Bokoharam captivity. And Bokoharam tells his brother or Mum he/she will be a mole for them before release.

Will he as part of the Negotiating team agree his mum/Brother should remain in Captivity?

If he answers this I’ll answer mine.

Boko Haram and Nigerian army operation is almost the same.

Dear NLanders,
I have been working for a tier 1 Bank in Nigeria for some time and so far it has been quite good. I work with great people and the pay is reasonable. Recently, I got an offer to work in a multinational telecoms company. While this seems like a good offer, I am worried about working for Chinese/Indian companies because of the negative report about them generally. Your considered opinions and/or experiences would be appreciated.

Many thanks...
Huawei pay is better than whatever Tier 1 bank.

This one is thinking like the one below average ....it took me a whole lot of time to even respond to this stuff....don't bother , I wouldn't even respond again...

I have said my own....grow up and start thinking above average...stop demanding respect , earn it ..with superior thinking
You get luck say this na 'burner account'.

Your type of 'Superior thinking' should not pull down the Black community but acknowledge it's shortcomings and then actually 'operationalize' ideas to reorientate the small percentage of African descent that aren't 'wise' as is common with other races too!

My main grouse is 'average black with anal reasoning'. Who fvcking says that?

The Average black is a resilient person who is making the most out of an ever evolving world and operating with the tools available to them.

Stop grandstanding and increase the political, economic and mental power in your community.

Pull up instead of putting down.

I'm sorry I got carried away and insulted you back... might find you in real life and share a grilled goat with you.

You just said about Ghana "an Army captain they thought was a thief". You see the difference right there. This was not the case here nor was it the case in Odi or Zaki Biam. In all these cases they saw armed uniformed servicemen on duty, ambushed and killed them in cold blood while hiding amongst innocent civilians leading to the reprisals you see which has been the basic counter insurgency tactics of every other military force including the United States to get those communities to give up the assailants. Hate it, yes but in war they say all is fair. Those soldiers are also people's kids and benefactors.

It happens in other countries like Nigeria not unlike Nigeria. I seek not to bore you with that.

But with reference to your "every region and tribe will have a well armed group". The good thing for the Army is that these are disparate groups and I can tell you the Army is more than a match for them. You only just need to keep them divided. In the end innocent people will be killed, the Nigerian Army will still be here and life will go on.
Let's rather sue for peace. No one of these groups has any chance for success on it's own.
And if the Nigerian military is pushed to the wall the Myanmar option becomes inevitable and that none of us want to see. A bad place to be.

You see Nigeria is a dynamic country. It is not Ghana. The pressure lines of tribe and ethnicity is so thick and made worse by resource agitations and nepotism by the powers that be.

There is no perfect society. What some of us are calling for in a country like Nigeria is nigh impossible. We can accept to come to what's workable like restructuring in some way which the old man in Aso Rock promised, got voted in only to get there and tow the line of his predecessors, such a shame. What is wrong with galvanizing political activity and voting in the right person for the job instead of fighting. The people can channel that energy into political action for societal reform, economic and social justice.
@ the bolded

That never ceases to amaze me.

Why can't 20 million people actually rise above pecuniary interests, short term gains and all the problems they bring?

Why can't a few SIEZE power legitimately! Work with the current constitutional framework with a view to not only toe the rule of law but even looking at referendums for changing pertinent parts of the constitution.

From investigation the community head and some people were hiding the criminal when 72 sf/ strike team from the battalion in beune and some solider from oju came to ask that they know that the crimial was hiding with the area that they should tell were they are, the community head and some vilage liar and hid the crimial .the solider say that if they go to their base and comeback that the community will go down. Then the military started searching the bush when they found the dead body of their men. The met some crimial and engage them in a gunfight, the criminal ran to the community and the community hid them. That was when fire started raining in the community

why would that pain me lol. its about accurate reporting. of course you get aroused by any news that tarnishes the Nigerian state. Once biased, no point having discussion with such person. I try to be in the middle without taking sides unless there's an obvious error.
Nigeria have a shiffy* govt. we all know that. But stories also needed to be validated. Soldiers themselves have fallen prey to criminals disguised as one of their own. That's why its important to hear all sides. That's plain common sense.
And if soldiers go on rampage killing civilians, it's also common sense to condemn such action and charge those responsible.
In a country with functioning system and institution, that would be expected, wouldn't really hold my breathe in Nigeria's case
A-Z of it!

I just look at them talking here and posting trash here on this forum ...all I see is but this tank, buy this gun, but this gunship buy this gunboat ...kill this amd those that are killed

The average black man think with his anus...very sentimental folks....in normal races...they deploy force only when dialogue have failed but here they deploy force before dialogue...that is what distinguishes the other races and blacks

The clowns here keep proving me right...have they even called ESN and all these guys welding guns etc for a meeting or dialogue and ask what is it that you want

I am seeing here as a place for anarchists and pyromaniacs

Nobody has called for a peaceful resolution and dialogue ? Can't we have a chat as a nation and ask for a way forward ? These are what makes one matured.

We don't need war ? We don't need fight? We need peace ? If they want to have autonomy for us to have peace . SO be it

We are loosing investors, global confidence etc due to these ! Let's eschew tribalism , what I am seeing here are tribalism

It's only here I gear crazy thing like Unity in Diversity....how can you he united still have diversity ...madness

Its crazy the way the average black man thinks...and they keep proving me right....

No wonder the black race is laughed at by other races and at lowest end of the racial pole

They are bragging buying equipments...how many have they produced? Other militaries in the world produce some of their equipments....but the black man in Nigeria will never think and go into R & D

Only gragra....it's a shame ...big shame , they are disgracing us reasonable blacks
I don't exchange invectives online.

For over 6 months i have been thinking of how to start this 3 untapped business in Nigeria.. Before i decided to put it online to see if anyone will be willing to go into the business that doesn't require much funds and you will make huge profile from it buy spend little money on instagram advert , nairaland advert , google advert.

1. Online One Stop print Shop Like www.vistaprint.com in America..

I have been thinking on how to start this one stop printshop here in Nigeria.. This is a kind of store where you can order for all kind of printing business online.. I can create a website that has all the functionalities that vistaprint has.. but no support. This is a very huge business that doesnt require much funds..

What is need is just a hosting and a domain name.. script to build the store and some modules to add some functionalities to make the script work perfectly as a print shop..

2. Online robust shop where you can sell strictly native wears and materials ..
You need to check online.. There is no one stop shop online where you can get any kind of native materials that you want..
The largest fabrics stop in Lagos is brasas Fabrics which has a lot of fabrics in her store and i can authoritatively tell you that this store make nothing less than 20 Million Naira Daily.. Yes there are people who sell native materials on Konga and Jumia but thats just a section on their website.. What i am trying to come up with is a kind of robust website like konga and jumia but it will be strictly for native materials alone ..

3. Online Vehicle Spare Part Store Just like https://www.autozone.com in america

This is another great business idea which people has not really tapped into. One of the greatest nightmare of car owners is Mechanical Engineer and Rewire.. They are not honest in anyway.. because a car part may cost 3k and your mechanic will tell you that the part cost 10k - 11k ..
that is why i decided to create a website like autozone.com where i will upload all vehicle spare parts mostly tokunbo at Ladipo but this project alone will take more than 2 years to complete because what i am talking about here is not just for a particular car because a single ca alone has more than 30,000 spare parts. i am talking about a website where you can get all vehicle part from year 2000 till date.. Just name your car and you will find all the part here.. i can build a website that is 99% similar to autozone.com .. Now this is where the challenge is .. which i also have solution to.. The challenge of this project is Mechanics .. Even if you are selling the first grade spare part.. mechanics are ready to twist car owner brain that they dont trust the part you are bring.. that is why i think of starting a free car diagnostic where i will scan your vehicle for you for free sell the part for you at affordable price ( Original Part ) and still fix it for you will guarantee .. But even if after diagnosing you car for you and you still feel you dont want us to fix it for you.. You are free to go elsewhere .. Its not a must we fix it for you nor a must you purchase part from us .. but what we are coming up with is to make life easy for car owner so i have group of mechanics who are will to work with me on this project. if you want to do this project you are free..
Great ideas.

However, no idea is original. I know Nigerian players in these three sectors mentioned. For example, you've got a well established player like Printivo.com in the online print shop industry in Nigeria.

But, However...lol; What a new business needs is a disruptive angle. The value offering, marketing and market segmentation must be top notch.

You selected great options Seyi!

When I did some exploratory work in textile-tailors-ecommerce, the Mall at Tejousho and Balogun on the Island could provide nearly every product for Nationwide delivery. Get key partners and resources.

Peace

when I read this story, I get the feeling that the Americans were condescending to the Nigerian intelligence community, refusing to share intel on time, and even when they did, they shared grainy photos with little or no operational value to the intelligence community, they was also mutual distrust between them.
the President was more concerned about PR so that didn't really send the right message on priorities.

P.S I think I have a very good idea on who the "local informant" was/is
