vivaciousvivi: The war in America has cost the American taxpayers a lot over the past 20 plus years. For how long will a so called sovereign nation be handheld by another? You didn't take the time to use all that time to learn about beefing up your military, making your borders more formidable, procuring arms, learning about your enemy to defeat them once and for all. But no we want to blame another country that has it's own problems to grapple with. Let's be sincere, the leadership of Afghanistan was a disgrace ! Despite American spending of ~$1Trillion in 20 years, lots of Afghans (Military and Civilian) still had a soft spot for the Taliban. America knew they had to stop spending but Biden really messed up the withdrawal. Taliban Taqiya |

Faithful007: All these would be a joke if the Kabul Airport is overrun. It is the most guarded place in Afghanistan now. Embassy officials have been moved there. Some will remain for now, others are going. The Super Tucanos and Black Hawks and heavy ordinances are all based there. Right now, The US is unsure about what to do with them. Whether Taliban will fly them or sell them, it is still a big risk. That's why 2000 troops were deployed. Kabul Airport will never go down till everything is settled. They might be destroyed as a last resort.
Taliban doesn't have patience. The main reason they haven't pulled down Kabul is because they can't with US forces still based there. One US casualty from the Taliban and it's a restart of hostilities. ...as per US/Taliban agreements. The US fncked the Afghanis. |

komekn: After reading these comments in bold , i am beginning to see what your focus is.
i asked for a substantive discourse on the subject the expenditure of $600 million on the 12 A29's looking at alternative options , efficacy and best value. I & FEW OTHERS ARE STILL WAITING FOR YOU
But you prefer to post pictures of soldiers posturing and military hardware like we are adolescents who get excited and fantasize about being combatants.
And when anything is said that doesn't toe the line that PMB is the best thing since sliced bread, you respond with heightened indignation.
You don't substantiate, you make no appraisal you don't counter with facts or figures just your own self birthed opinions based on what , I SAID SO . You are beginning to be like a proxy Lai Mohammed.
In my opinion Samuel Anyanwu is the most authentic, on the ground real time TRUTHFUL contributor here , NO CONTEST. And you wish to attempt to contend with him , but on superficial emotive led bias and prejudice. There's no competition between both of them. |
