I just saw this post today and after a longtime of not replying to any post, I decided to reply to this very post. I am married and have not cheated on my wife and do not plan to cheat.
@ octopus, you remind me of a typical bad girl, I know your experience with men leaves you wondering if any one of us will ever be faithful. I know older colleagues (married) who have never cheated on their wives not for lack of money or babes but for self decipline. You may need to change your circle and you will see differently.
@all Cheating is an act that is in the mind just like satisfaction is in the mind. It has nothing to do with how sexy or beautiful one's wife may be. I simply tell myself that; there;s no better woman than my wife and forget all my past escapades coz I had them in quanta. I am a satisfied man.

Ok people, I just stumblled on this topic and would like to lend my voice. I couldn't read through the whole thread so would not know all that have been said, but I did like to stress that many married people are happy. This is not making up stories since I am happily married. Your marriage is as good as you make it. I planned to have a happy marital life and that's what am getting. I am not going to write much coz I doubt if I can convince any Thomas with it. The bottom line is; plan, pray and work towards a happy marriage and you will get it.

@ poster; None coz one of those traits in imbeded in the other. Most prostitutes steal and most women thieves can prostitute as well. However, for the thief, what does she steal? Ok, I agree that some guys feel intimidated by the fact that the woman is more learned and may even misconstrue certain things to mean disrespect but have you ever seen or been with some educated sistas? There are lots of them on nairaland and I don't need to mention names before you know the sect of people am talking about. The truth is: marriage will not work where there's no mutual respect. Every person has roles and position is a marital relationship and any attempt to circumvent those will only lead unnecessary heartache.
I know some sistas who are educated and loaded yet single. Not out of choice but because there are almost ungovernable yet they cry everyday that they need a man. My advice to them has always been to look inside yourself and you will see reason and probably make the necessary adjustment. Am an educated man won't be caught dead with an illiterate but education alone would never had made any woman my wife.
It's so bad that I wonder what such women would do if they were men. They are so damn arrogant, wonder if they forgot that men and women are not generally at par in terms of achievements, yet great men and women keep their feet on the ground while reaching for the star. Someone said on this thread that women have achieved more than men and I can only assume that that is coming from a baby or worse still a feminist.

I have read many enteries here and I must say that whlie I agree with some of the posters others are good for the bin IMHO. I know married men who are faithfull to their wives, I also know many who are unfaithful. The stats given by the poster is very misleading. I found out long ago that unless you are faithfull while you were dating, you may never be faithfull to your spouse. I have a relationship and I cannot deny that I have had feelings of cheating on her but somehow I have conquered it coz it's been my long desire to be faithfull to her. The only reason is coz it's my plan and it's not born out of what she does well or what she does not do. It's been 3 years now and am still going and I know many others but the dividing line is that they made up their minds right from courtship to be faithfull.
There's not enough reason to cheat on your spouse we should all be carefull how we treat each other. I know quite well that all the time I have had urge to cheat were times that we had issues or times I felt neglated and uncared for, I was almost searching for love, care and attention outside, thank God it didn't happen but I know we can all do better.
The ultimate cure for adultery is godliness. Only the fear of God can make a man/woman stick to his/her spouse.

Let me also say that robbers in Nigeria sometimes strip u of your clothes in order to make u look mad so that nobody will believe your story. A guy was robbed along the Benin express way, the robbers stripped him of his clothes and took his car. It was very difficult for him to stop any vehicle since everybody assumed he was mad and would not stop. So what if the robbers employed the same tactics?

Ok to all ma bros & sis in the Uk, take it easy. Just know that life is also good here. Imagine earning the equivalent of 2k ponds montly after tax here in motherland, you have allowi for  ur anual rent say about 2k ponds given every January + many, many benefits I can not mention here. Haba that is mouth watery and pls tell me why I shuold leave that and head to the Uk. Infact I 've been to the Uk, Europe and even the US so many times on company's account and I see some of my brothers really suffering Naija is not bad at all. The cost of living is alot cheaper + all the extra, extra. Sha I just love Naija .

I was waiting for traffic at Garrison in PH and a guy nearly robbed me. He attempted to open my doors but because I ALWAYS drive with my doors locked he could not gain entrance into my car, then he pretended like a Berger and motioned me to wind down which of course I refused and at that point he started yelling at me. 'I dey beg u now and u no go use ur church mind find me something now' next thing he did, was bend down and tried to deflect my tyre hopping that I might wind down or come out of the car. I was so grateful that the traffic wadden passed my line and you can imagine the roar of my engine, I could have crushed anybody on my way at that point.
Bottom line: The stop and go traffic is the best time to use the AC since I could wind down my windows when on high way but all these is still assuming you are living in Naija.
