if you an atheist you have to reason this out. look at what the bible says about the God u doubt his existence at Isaiah 40:22 ► He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
what is the point here? "He sits enthroned above the CIRCLE OF THE EARTH."
note that this was written thousands of years before scientists were able to discover that the earth is spherical in shape and not flat as they used to think.
This alone is a strong reason to believe in the existence of a supernatural being

Technology Market / US Targets Huawei With Tighter Chip Export Rules by Jahskid24(m): 11:49pm On May 15, 2020
The US has announced new export controls aimed at limiting Chinese technology giant Huawei's access to semiconductor technology.
The new rule bars semiconductor-makers that use US technology and software in chip design from shipping to Huawei without US government permission.
It is the latest US action to target Huawei, which US officials view as a national security threat.
China threatened to retaliate against US tech firms.
The tightened controls come a year after the US moved to cut off Huawei, the world's second largest smart phone maker, from access to US-made semiconductor chips, which form the backbone of most computer and phone systems.
In response, the company and others in China accelerated efforts to manufacture such chips domestically.
US Commerce Department Secretary Wilbur Ross said that those efforts were "still dependent on US technologies", and accused Huawei of taking steps "to undermine" earlier export controls.
"This is not how a responsible corporate citizen behaves," Mr Ross said. "We must amend our rules exploited by Huawei... and prevent US technologies from enabling malign activities contrary to US national security and foreign policy interests."
The new US rule, to be published on Friday, applies to foreign-made items, using US technology. It exempts equipment or software made or shipped within the next 120 days - a move meant to limit economic harm.
In a background briefing for reporters, the US said officials would consider licence applications to do business with Huawei on a "case by case" basis.
"This is a licensing requirement. It does not necessarily mean that things are denied," a senior State Department official said. "We tend to approach Huawei with some concern but this is a measure that gives the US government visibility into what is moving."
Also on Friday, the US extended waivers that allow US companies, many of them rural internet providers, to use some kinds of Huawei technology for another 90 days.
'Cut off the relationship'
Donald Trump, who is campaigning for re-election in November, has stepped up his attacks on China in recent weeks, blaming it for the spread of Covid-19.
This week, he moved to restrict US government pension funds from investing in Chinese companies. He said on Wednesday he could "cut off the whole relationship".
The US has said Huawei's technology could be used for spying by the Chinese government.
It has pressured allies, including the UK and Germany, to bar Huawei from their networks and sued the company for technology theft and doing business with Iran, in violation of US sanctions.
Huawei has contested the US government's claims and said American efforts are likely to backfire, hurting the ability of US tech firms to do business.
China on Friday threatened to place US companies on an "unreliable entity list", according to a report in the country's Global Times.

Health / Coronavirus: Germany Takes In 47 Coronavirus Patients From Italy by Jahskid24(m): 7:24am On Mar 27, 2020
German hospitals with spare capacity will take in at least 47 coronavirus patients from Italy in a sign of European solidarity, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Thursday.

“Because we stand by our Italian friends. We can only manage this together,” Maas said in a short statement.

In Italy, an overwhelmed health care system has witnessed the outbreak kill more people than in any other country.

Ahead of an expected larger wave of domestic infections that German authorities are preparing for, a first group of six Italian patients arrived at Leipzig airport in the eastern state of Saxony on Tuesday.

The western state of North Rhine-Westphalia also announced plans to take 10 Italian patients in coming days.
As of Wednesday, there were 36,508 cases of coronavirus in Germany, with 198 deaths, the Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases said. That compares with 74,386 confirmed cases in Italy, where 7,503 have died.

German Health Minister Jens Spahn said earlier on Thursday that the country was still in “the calm before the storm”, adding authorities were using the time they had won with extensive testing to prepare for a wave of cases expected in the coming weeks.

Health / No Confirmed Case Of COVID-19 In South-east – Umahi by Jahskid24(m): 8:47am On Mar 25, 2020
Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi has confirmed that states in the South-East zone were yet to record any confirmed case of the dreaded Coronavirus, known as COVID-19.

Umahi, who is the Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum stated this at a press briefing on Tuesday in Abakaliki.

He said that the Ebonyi government had put in a number of measures aimed at ensuring that the virus was contained and prevented from entering the state.

The governor added that before the first record of COVID-19 in Nigeria that the Ebonyi government had built two quarantine centres in Abakaliki and at the border between Enugu and Ebonyi State, in Ishielu Local Government Area.

He said that the state-of-the-art Virology Centre in Abakaliki, built-in 2016, which was donated to Federal Government for Lassa fever, would be vital for testing for the Coronavirus with the necessary testing kits.

“For now, there is no confirmed report of COVID-19 case in Ebonyi and any state of the South-East.
“However, our government has put in place a number of measures to protect the people.

“These include shutting down of schools, night clubs, ban on sporting activities, wedding receptions, burial ceremonies and any social gathering with more than 50 persons.
“We have not shut down religious and worship centres, because we have not had any confirmed report of the virus in any part of the South-East.
“From March 25, it shall be an offence for gathering of persons other than essential service centres, including markets, rice meals, religious centres, banks and hotels.
“These service centres must ensure the provision of face masks, running water, hand sanitizers and must ensure that people entering and coming out to wash their hands to protect them.
“Churches and religious centres must observe all health precautions to protect their members and the general public,” Umahi said.

The governor assured the people that government would explore every necessary avenue to ensure protection of the people against the virus.
He said that the state would henceforth record all passengers entering the state from Lagos, Edo and all the South-West states to assist the medical team to monitor and evaluate their health status.
The governor, who urged residents of the state to imbibe best personal health hygiene, said that government would procure hand sanitizers and other disinfectants for distribution to those in the hinterlands.

He noted that government had deployed health workers and other public office holders to the grassroots to sensitize the people on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Umahi said that the government had established COVID -19 team to be coordinated by himself as chairman.

*since the border closure we havent heard of fulani attack and kidnaping had gone down, are our west african brothers telling us they are blind to see armed herdsmen entering our territory from thier side?

* are there no ships in ghana that can load goods to apapa or warri ports and pay needed custom duty?

*We share our paltry manageable electricity to niger, togo and benin, yet they dont pay and still mock us for not having 24/7 electricity

*Every conflict in west africa, from liberia to seria loane we send our troops, waste our gallant soldiers blood , sweat and tears, only for same west africa to let boko haram hide and run us over

*We gave mandella our passport and all his comrades (almost all thier top current politician and freedom fighters have nigerian passport) so that they can travel and confront the western power, we even gave them money from our own savings.. what did they pay us back with? death and painful lynching while they laugh on, video the victims and call us names

*Our Defence College Kaduna and Staff College Jos freely trained some of thier best military and political leaders, but then only to alert us of dangers coming into our territory they fvcking turn blind

If Nigeria can survive US sanction under Abacha's Regime and many people cooked with sawdust, firewood when kerosine wasnt coming in and gas was expensive, if we ate millets and maize like rice and enjoyed it with beans, why the fvck do this people think we can't close our border as we deem fit

Phones / Re: Dangers Of Connecting To Free Wi-fi Networks by Jahskid24(m): 1:29pm On Oct 30, 2019
scarycuteface:
Nowadays, competitive data plans have greatly reduced the cost of internet plans from what we used to have. With a stream of networks now contesting for the attention of the fans, as well as a higher market share, it is interesting to see how this has played out well for the market.

But, even at that, data can still be expensive.

Imagine how much data a user would have to consume if they were to enjoy a full movie on a streaming platform such a Netflix. Factor in how much a user would have to spend just to keep playing their favorite video games online.

All that, and we have not even gone deeper into other stuff that could make a user consume insane amounts of data in a little time.

It is, thus, little surprise why many people have turned to public Wi-Fi networks.

Free Wifi are usually provided as part of a service for users of such a service. That is why you can find them in schools, airports, hospitals and other private/ public institutions today.

Even though the occurrences of free Wi-Fi networks are not as widespread in these part as it is in the western world, they are fast taking over. Very soon, they will be everywhere you turn to.

The idea of that alone is very exciting.

Imagine not having to commit to your mobile data plans to download that massive Android OS update. Just think about how you can now download as many movies as you want or stream all the video content you can without the constant fear of how much data you are burning through always ringing at the back of your mind.

However, it is often said that nothing comes free, ‘not even in Freetown.’ The same saying holds true for public Wi-Fi networks. In fact, if you know how much you were directly paying, you would most likely do away with these services for good.

What dangers do public Wi-Fi networks pose?

Before launching into the range of problems they could cause for you, it is important to understand why they can cause those problems in the first place.

You should have observed that you don’t need to enter a password to connect to a public Wi-Fi network. To make this possible, the network providers need to have put the service at the lowest security settings so that no one is blocked out.

In other words, there is little to zero encryption on the network.

That becomes the cause of the issues below:

1 Data Monitoring and Collection

On a normal day, your internet service provider (ISP for short; such as MTN, Airtel, etc.) can see what you are doing when you access the internet. This is possible since your internet traffic streams through them. Since these institutions are regulated by the government, your data is not at so much of a risk with them.

The instance you connect to a public Wi-Fi network, though, your ISP becomes the entity offering such a connection. This means that airport, coffee shop, pizza place or where else you are now knows everything you are doing on the internet while connected to their network.

Since the network is not encrypted, a hacker could also gain access to your internet streams and see what you are doing on your computer.

For one, your new ISP can record and collect that data for other purposes. In fact, some of them sell this data to other companies who can do with your information as they so please.

On the other hand, hackers can use this chance to gain access to your bank account passwords, online login information, emails and so much more.

2 Man in The Middle Attacks

As the name implies, this happens when someone places themselves in between you and a server (such as website or app) that your device is supposed to be communicating with. Since the Wi-Fi network is not encrypted, they can intercept your messages and interactions with the other end of the server.

With such interceptions, they can even manipulate someone you are chatting with on the other end by relaying edited/ wrong messages to them instead. Likewise, they could use this approach to impersonate you and collect sensitive data from the other end of a conversation.

3 Malware Installation

Malware (viruses, trojan, keyloggers, etc.) can be installed onto your Android device in a variety of ways. Hackers have tried various means in the past: tricking you with phishing emails, loading malicious codes onto apps you install (even the Google Play Store is not safe sometimes), and so on.

One of the least talked about ways of placing a malware on your device is via a free Wi-Fi network.

By simply loading the said malware onto the network, every unit that connects to that network will automatically download the malware. The interesting thing is, this malware can stay on your device for months (even years) and you would not even know anything is amiss.

In this time, the hacker would have collected enough information to launch a hack on you.

4 Rogue Network Attacks

Another interesting Wi-Fi network attack comes in the form of rogue networks. Hackers simply need to get creative to pull this off – and that doesn’t take much of an effort.

Let’s assume you were at an airport which normally had a network named ‘AIRPORT 1.’ A hacker could get creative and make their own Wi-Fi network available with the name ‘A1RPORT 1’ or ‘AIRPORT I.’

If you don’t look at those two names very carefully, you would not see that the letter ‘I’ has been swapped for number ‘1’ in both cases.

Should you connect to any of the rogue networks, the hackers suddenly become your ISP. At that instant, they can hijack your device, steal sensitive data, install malware, etc.
