Krayola: Alves is a full back. Fullbacks don't just defend.
And anyone that says Alves is only good going forward doesn't have a clue. Sometimes una go juss dey follow crowd. Thats how u guys jumped on the "Ibra is lazy and doesn't work hard" band wagon. Meanwhile the guy is running around the pitch like a horse on steroids. Alvez is a solid defender. he isnt the best defender out there, but when you add what he brings to our attack, and his consistency, he deserves the award. The rest na juss bad belle. What is the difference between yourself and sauron, SMH, I am very sure If Seydou Keita and Victor Valdes were crowned the best in their respective positions you would argue they deserve it as well, some things just never changes |

~Sauron~: Dirk Kuyt is a useless player, i wouldn't have him for $5. Theo Walcott is also clueless. . . . .He runs into blind alleys and he needs to develop his football sense.
U have to agree with me that Nasri and Nani are more accomplished than Joe Cole. SWP is miles better than Joe Cole too but he got kicked out of Chelski cos he wasn't part of the mafia in the dressing room. You obviously know nothing abt sarcasm, the only wingers based on current form better than Joe Cole are Giggs, lennon,Arshavin EOD |

Krayola: Best defender does not necessarily mean best at defending, because that is not all fullbacks do. Alvez is an important part of our attacking game. He must have been given the award for his overall contribution to the team.
My point is that Alvez is a very good defender. . .add that to his excellent attacking prowess and u have urself an excellent fullback. This whole myth that Alvez is not a good defender is far from reality. Cut the bullshit and face FACTS, the primary role of a defender is to defend, which means for a player to qualify as "the best defender" he must be great at defending, the award didn't say best attacker+defender or did it. Maldini,Baresi,Nesta,Cannavaro, fernando Hierro weren't regarded as the best defenders at their peak because of the attacking threat they possessed, heck NO, they were simply great defenders (just so you know, Maldini was a full back as well and was excellent at his primary role) "There is no point in a science student scoring unimpressive marks in sciences while performing brilliantly in arts/sociology" |

Ibime: The way you keep hyping our reserve team, I would have thought Arnesen is doing a brilliant job. we still have a great squad and depth regardless so why waste money, no sane being should spend £50 mill on a single player while I'm not promoting stinginess, I think there are better and more productive ways of spending the £50 mill |

nateevs: The press don come again. Just when they heard Chelsea are going to appeal the decision and will def bring in more players, the next logic to sell stories will be to re-visit some summer transfer activities.
£50m for Aguero? . . I am a massive fan of Aguero but £50m? . . Someone has to be on a first-class flight to the land of insanity. £25m max! Anything more. . Thanks but no thanks . . We will mange with Anelka, DiSanto and DS.
We'll play Ballack as a make shift DM with Essien and Mikel gone . . .Joe on the right of the diamond and Deco at the top. If we have to change, we'll beg general Lamps to play o the right of the diamond, take Joe to the top and put Malouda or Zhirkov on the left.
Plus the ban on Kakuta will be over then and we'll get to see what a wonderful talent he is.
Shikena!
We have passed the era of spending £30m on one player let alone £50m. Arnesen should off his back side and do what he is f.ucking paid to do. Lets hope so, cos you never know with Abramovic, he wants success at all cost and believes spending big is the only way to meet this objective there are some great players we can get for much lower price, I don't even think we are in a desperate situation so no real urgency/need to buy players |

nateevs: By witless you mean the way he bullied Evra eh? . . . Look don't get it twisted. I don't argue that you didn't beat Chelsea 3-0 . . you did fair and square. You must admit however that it was a gift. You will never meet that Chelsea twice in two years. That was a very unfit Chelsea, playing in its worst shape in five years and you know it. I wouldn't want to think Fergie will be as dumb as saying we beat them 3-0 last year so it's a piece of cake.
Liverpool a team with all sorts of problems and without arguably their best player made you guys look like a championship side and you are already making mouth to a team with confidence at the moment. I won't say a lot now. It's only two weeks away.
The best I can say is I think you should buy that new remote. You may need it. Are you minding sauron, any player can have a good game against any team, Mikel Obi has had outstanding game(s) against Man utd in the past taking scholes, giggsy and carrick to the cleaners, shoulda seen the way Andy Gray was having orgasm over the laad, so all that fletcher shitzo is not a big deal |

Fergie questions Rio form Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has questioned Rio Ferdinand's form amid reports that the defender could be dropped by club and country.
The England centre-back has come under scrutiny after a series of blunders over the past month, which have led to suggestions that he could be past his best.
Ferdinand gifted Craig Bellamy a goal in the Manchester derby in September and then his error led to England goalkeeper Robert Green being sent off against Ukraine at the start of October.
The 30-year-old was also at fault on Sunday when he could not match Fernando Torres for pace and power as the Spaniard scored Liverpool's opener in a 2-0 win.
As a result Ferguson has questioned whether Ferdinand, who has struggled with injuries, is producing the required displays to earn a place in the England squad for the 2010 World Cup.
The United boss said in The Sun: "He has to get good form. That's an important issue for the coach to pick the right team.
"In defence you've maybe got more options than other positions. He'll need to get his form right." |
