maclatunji: I am sure any man would love this description of his wife if I am going to believe people here.
Put it like this: If my a-s-s looks familiar to HIM, its because he envy it walking next to my gambian husband.
Nothing else.

dayokanu: Is that you in your profile?

Abeg let me see the front. looks like I know you from somewhere

That asss looks familiar
Lol. The chance of you knowing me from somewhere is so small. Unless you live in Norway or Gambia, you know me from no-where.

^ if you think you're looking sexy, but those around you dont agree, then my dear, you don miss road be that.

it all depends on the context, geddit? huh

In a nightclub, for example, you're expected to show as much skin as you're possibly able, while when walking on the street, people would prefer you dont offend yourself by revealing every crease in your buttocks and all the fat in your frontal area.

is that clearer now? huh

likewise, mr balcony flasher might not have a problem if he's in the midst of similar minded people, but if he isnt, that means there will be a problem.

comprehende? huh
Each for themself. I dont dress with less clothes in the clubs than I do in everyday-life.
You can look good without having a miniskirt with no tights under, and without a cleavege showing off your bellybutton.

Men would hit on you even in the morgue
Then I might as well dress nice, thensmiley
FashionRe: What Kind Of Hair Do You Have? ( Pictures.. ) by JallowBah(op): 8:55pm On Aug 13, 2012
Ileke-IdI:
Please correct "nappy hair" with "natural" or "African" hair. Nappy is a condescending adjective that even some foolish Black ppl use to describe their God-given hair.

I like this tiny dreads tho, not the thick ones. Wait, are you living in Africa? shocked I know that your hubby is a Fulani man.
Sorry, I know some people take offence from it..comes from my husband and his friendswink

Now I am living in Norway. Was living in Africa last year, going back again next year. Before 3 years from now, I hope to have my own place in Norway, hair, make-up and nails..smiley
Will learn it good next year when I go down, going to school.

And: I love all kind of dreadlocks. Really. My husbands is like mine; mixed of small, big, thick and thin. Others I know have thiiiiiin locks, about 0,5cm thick, others again have 10cm thick bongos. Thats whats fun about locks..

Hmmm interesting thread........well whatever people think, the ultimate decision to post pix or not lies with couple.......one thing sha, if you have a hawt wife as long as she goes out and other people see her, she will be complimented on her looks...If the man cant handle it then its better u don't marry a hawt woman.
...what he said.
FashionRe: What Kind Of Hair Do You Have? ( Pictures.. ) by JallowBah(op): 7:38pm On Aug 13, 2012
tjskii: I actually want to styl my hair the dreadlocks way, kinda lik urs,but wayy slimmer, but I nid to be properly educated on Ђ☺w̶̲̥̅̊ to kip it neat, and d effects itl av on my hair wen I decide to undreaadlock

Oh and for now iv got on weave-ons
Mine has been done halfway the natural-neglecting-way, and half with backcombing..I dont do much with them, sometimes just fix small hairs at the roots with a small crochet-needle.
For africans its quite easy to get locks.
My husband just braid the hair, and it turns into a lock by itself in about 1,5month time. He wash it every day, massages in the shampoo ( all natural shampoo, I might add.. ), and use arabic oil to make it more shiny and healthy.
Other twist the hairs into dreadlocks, but it takes more time. Or they do it all natural; leave it to grow and just divide.

If you want small locks, the twisting-method or the braiding is the easiest ones for you. African locks are easier to maintain than caucasians, the hair is more easy to work with. ( For white people with curles, its easy.. )

To get it out, you have to cut it. Easy as that. The good part for african women there, is the braiding/weave-culture. No need to walk around looking like a dude afterwink

maclatunji: The question I would like to ask is: will you take practical steps to prevent a scenario that your husband would get jealous in should it occur? In other words, if you know that this picture(s) you are about to post would lead to comments that your husband would be jealous about, would you stop or go ahead? If you answer no. Why? In view of the fact that your husband's "Jealousy" would be aroused.
I dont post anything he would not approve of, no.
He knows that it might lead to someone saying I am beautiful, but he also knows it wont go longer than "thank you".
RomanceRe: I Would Never Date A Boy That Smokes Weed! by JallowBah(f): 5:30pm On Aug 13, 2012
People who smoke too much are plain lazy from the beginning. Its n excuse to sit on your ass and not do sh-it.
People who already have a mental disturbance MIGHT get out in the open when smoking weed.

People who smoke now and then, just as people who drink now and then...no problem.

There is use, and abuse!

And, weed is not physical addicting, only mental. Your body dont crave it, your mind does. Google some information, even sugar is more addictive than weed..

FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by JallowBah(f): 5:16pm On Aug 13, 2012
maclatunji: I agree with the bolded.

However, do you concede that your husband might feel jealous if he read some of the comments that you would get after posting several "catchy pictures"?
Not more jealous then what he feels when men try to hit me up in public, and most of THEM already know I am married.
I get jealous when women commpliments him as well at times, but I am still not gonna tell him to not put up a single picture..
FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by JallowBah(f): 4:49pm On Aug 13, 2012
maclatunji: You seem up for a discussion. I assume you are married. How do you feel if and when you receive compliments from men via social media? What about those who "hit on you"? How does that make you feel?
I say thank you, and think its good they appriciate beauty even if they are married, and even if I am. I am not gonna hide away just because I have a ring on my finger, but I do not expose myself tacky, no.
If they hit on me, I say thanks, but no thanks. I am happy with my husband. Not worse than that.
Even girls in hijab get hit on, honey..
FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by JallowBah(f): 4:40pm On Aug 13, 2012
maclatunji: But there's a difference which could be because of any number of factors.
Of course. It could be the clothes, the make-up, the attitude etc.
The days I wear baggy pants O probably look more sad as well, not too happy with myself those days.
The days I dress up, they will see I am happy with myself as well, and THAT attracts attention more than anything,no matter the dress.

I wear less many times. Not too much difference in how many people approach me or not.

coogar: bringing chesticles out on a public transport? isn't that a sorta indecent exposure?
gambia must be one helluva place to be then....

some men are wired that way - the huge dark ring around the nipples of feeding mothers stir their hormones - lol
You hardly see anything of the nipples when the baby is eating..
And no, that is not exposure. Its feeding a baby. Youre not flashing anyone, you are FEEDING A BABY.

maclatunji: I don't disagree with this, emphasis on married woman here.

Who is she trying to impress?
I ask because obviously men will admire them and being married, one would think she understands that she shouldn't do anything that will make other men who are not her husband well... "hit on her". What are your thoughts?
Pffft.

Men hit on me even I am wearing baggy pants and no make up with a big t-shirt.
FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by JallowBah(f): 3:58pm On Aug 13, 2012
And about breastfeeding; one of the most natural things you CAN do.
I dont know how it works in the public in Nigeria, but in Gambia, the women around you almost forces you to breastfeed if your baby starts whining.."get the boob out girl, your baby is hungry". Anywhere, anytime. And that is a damn good thing.

If a man starts to think SEXUAL when he looks at a baby eating...well.
FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by JallowBah(f): 3:57pm On Aug 13, 2012
If I was posing in a thong, with everything showing in a sexual matter, I could understand a reaction.
But with clothes full on, full body-shot-pic, I really dont see a problem. Neither does my husband.

Nobody would look bad on him with a half-tight t-shirts and shorts, flexing arm-muscles on a pic, but if I did it, it would probably be wrong for many men up in here.
Grow up now.

As long as the wife and the husband think its ok, who are anyone else to judge? Live and let live, as someone else said here.

And no, I dont post pics to get compliments and get men clinging on to me. I post pics because I am proud of the way I look, and I am not afraid to show a picture showing my full body, WITH clothes on. If anything; I prefer for a long-shot compliments from women over compliments from men..

Ileke-IdI:
Beautiful daughter.

Hell you can even braid better than me grin

There's sth about dreadlocks that I dont fancy. It has always looked disgusting and unwashed to me.
Many people say that..wink With white people, some tend t wash it too often, wich makes them rotten up inside. It takes up to 12 hours before my hair dries up, in Norway, that is..in Gambia it took me just about 4hours.

For african people its more easy. The nappy hair makes them dry up more fast, and they can use wax and oils as well, without it fucking up the hair.

And maaany africans have told me I braid better than them..lol. Let me upon up my salon, you`ll see!

I love 2 have white half caste kids (dey d best)
Some marry for papers, others for lovewink

That many people do something that is morally bad, does not make it ok.

For me, then its better to go to the streets, sell drugs, get money, and PAY someone to be married to you for 4 years so you get your papers. Not to go and f-ck up somebodys heart.

Then MAYBE you should apply and do everything in your power to get it your damn self instead of f-cking up other peoples hearts and life for money and papers.
Grow up.

And I see you changed the thread and deleted..guess that shows you know yourself how foolish this is.
