Kudos to Gen Theophilus Danjuma for smashing insurgents in his time without any waste of time. Now we have a Gen Buhari as President and the whole country is under insecurity, BOKO Haram/bandits/kidnappers operating at will.

Many persons, within and outside the country are already asking whether Buhari is truly a General of the Nigerian Army.

It is good to reduce tension after that highly tensed (battle) election.

Listen boy, giving amnesty to criminals is not the way forward, otherwise, you encourage youths to enduldge in crime because they know once the government can't catch or kill them within a short while tje government will call them together and grant them amnesty, given them a mansion in Abuja and then make them lord.

Look at the Niger Delta, see the likesbof Asari, Tompolo, Ateke Tom West and others, these are men that rack the nationals economy in the name of fighting for the people meanwhile they're just fighting for themselves and their stomach.

The earlier the government stop granting amnesty to criminals the better so that anyone that has the mind set of going into crime would prepare his or her self that death is the final result.

I agree with this your point. However, any criminal who has SURRENDERED/REPENTED should be forgiven or face judicial procedure. killing a man who has surrendered is unprofessional, a VERY cowardly behaviour and breach of rule of engagement.

A man who surrendered and in the midst of amnesty committee members is kidnapped by soldiers and killed by soldiers and you think it is a great feat, eh? Where is the adherence to rule of engagement? If the soldiers are that great why didnt they capture him in battle?

I know that the main reason for killing him is because he exposed the grand plans of the fulanis to capture some states in Nigeria, particularly in the middlebelt region.

So the soldiers can only kill a man that has surrendered. No wonder boko haram is using the soldiers for target practice in Bornu.

Killing a man that has surrendered is against Geneva convention, Law of War and a war crime.
