So Ikpeba is one of those who still see Buhari as a military man who could move mountain? Too bad that after about 16 years of democracy some citizens still see military rule with military men haunting their lives. Na wa o. shocked shocked All Buhari dreamers should wake up. Buhari is a bloody civilian like any of us and can not koboko, frog jump and arrest and detain citizens without trial or fair hearing any more. We are now in a democracy. All those with military mentality should join the army to fight boko haram.

LRNZH:
But the question I ask is.... why are we blaming GMB for GEJ's suffering in 1983?

The coup that brought GMB to power was in Dec. 31, 1983. So GMB effectively started Jan 1, 1983 until Aug. 27, 1985.

So 1993 was all under Shagari except for the day of the govt changeover- the last day of the year.

I am looking for answers.
Most of Buhari supporters, and you in particular, still see Buhari as a military man instead of a bloody civilian. You still see him kobokoing and frog jumping people, arresting and detaining people without trial.(Let me laugh like a bloody civilian grin grin). I sincerely advise all of you Buhari supporters to remove the scales from your eyes and face reality. And the reality is that Buhari is now a bloody civilian and a politician aspiring to work in a democracy hence all the military paraphernalia for one man show are gone and will have to contend with democratic norms which I believe are alien to him. Thus I see him failing woefully as president. He will be a figure head president. In fact, he has already failed because he has joined corrupt politicians who are sponsoring his campaigns. He is no longer a one man authority but owned by a political party.

Bluffly:
You are wrong. Was it the Pastors that asked him to change his confession to thanksgiving or did he informed them of his motive. If him himself was ready for the confession and repentance, nothing on this earth could have deterred him from doing that. He was coming to deceive God, He killed intentionally and ran by back to God to give him a silly excuse in the bid that God should have mercy and forgive him while he's still spending the money.
Yes, it is the mindset of the followers of the pastor that influenced him to change from confession to thanksgiving. Don't you think that if the pastor had instilled godliness in the man, he wouldn't have stolen in the first place?. It is clear that the pastor worships wealth and that has rubbed on most of the followers hence the pastor as a leader has failed in his responsibility.

Do you expect 100% score before you believe somebody passed an exam? Nothing in life is absolute. They are always constraints. Even in simple economics, our needs are enormous but the means to satisfying them are limited. So, we must have alternatives and do scale of preference.

I will advise you again to have an open mind in your assessment.

How can Buhari who collects about N21m per month as pension say he is a poor man?. It shows Buhari has no financial education to invest properly. He only has about 100 cows and N1m in the bank. What an economic nonentity.
Politics › Re: Buhari Should Develop His State First Before 9ja by jamace(m): 10:21am On Jan 09, 2015
In fact, he should develop himself first. How can a president on monthly pension of about N21m a month say he is a poor man? I wonder what he does with his money. It is obvious he lacks financial education.

Where has the literate, a lecturer led us? Give me 10 good and convincing reasons y I should vote 4 him again esp on the followings
*security
*employment
*education
*electricity
*accountability
Security: The whole world is in turmoil. No where is safe. Nigeria is having its share in terrorism in the world. Many niorth African countries are having tougher security issues than Nigeria right now. Moreover, Nigeria had this kind of experience before, that was in 1967-1970, there was serious bloodshed, hunger and diseases.
Employment: GEJ has established over 100 Almajiri schools and 14 universities in the federation. These schools employed so many Nigerians. Also, GEJ has revamped the textile industries and the railway system. They have employed many Nigerians too. Do I need to remind you of the automobile industries? Many have been employed by the automobile indiustries. The Agricultural sector has witnessed the greatest boom so far in terms of agricultural production in Nigeria. Loans and facilities provided to citizens to set up their farms. Such farms have provided much jobs to Nigerians. Do you know YOU-WIN programme? This too has helped Nigerians youths in no small measure. SURE-P too is another govt policy presently providing employment to citizens. And so many others.
Education: GEJ has established over 100 Almajiri schools and 14 universities in the federation. Name any president of Nigeria that has achieved this feat. Remember the scholarship for first class students in universities abroad. Also, govt has financed our tertiary institutions to upgrade facilities and provide conducive learning environments to the students. And many more.
Electricity: Believe it or not, this is one of the areas GEJ has performed well with the privatisation of the power industry. Though power supply is slow but some areas in the federation are witnessing improved power supply at the moment. With time I believe things will be better.
Accountability: This is the area we all wish things should be done in a better way. Govt tries to carry everybody along by passing the Freedom Of Information law. Information is now available on request to the public. For instance, federal revenue money shared to various states and LGAs in the federation are published in our local dailies to let the members of the public know unfortunately most citizens do not care to challenge their governors and local govt chairmen to account for such money. It is unfortunate that the morality has collapsed in the society and corruption is evident every where but we can't put all the blame on govt because our religious houses (churches/mosques) have become a breeding ground for corruption, the pastors believe in making money at the detriment of morality and godliness and they preach that to their followers. You will agree with me that the leadership of our churches/mosques have collapsed because most of us attend these places and are corrupt.

In conclusion, anyone who says GEJ has not achieved anything is not sincere. Any one who says Nigeria is not developing under president Jonathan has a hidden agenda. Such persons may have failed to study history of development in Nigeria. Also, such persons may only be falling for the political gimmicks of political opponents of president Jonathan. Let us all be good citizens, stop being corrupt in all areas of our lives and support president Jonathan.

Assess the govt of president Jonathan with an open mind and you will see that a lot has been achieved. Thank you.

ayukdaboss:
Like I said in the other thread. You are the biggest mediocre among the TANoid movement on this forum. How many Nigerians does it take to raise 118 million naira in almost 3 months now in a country consisting of above 170 million people? The details of this Buhari Support Account was released a long time ago and well-meaning Nigerians have been registering their widows mite all in support for a better Nigeria and you come here spewing tantrums. Personally I've donated a reasonable sum to register my support for The People's General and I know well meaning Nigerians are doing same everyday.

Isn't it a big shame that you're questioning how a population of above 2 million people were able to raise 118 million naira for General Buhari when a single thief donated 2 billion (2,000,000,000) naira to Jonathan's failed campaign? Posterity is going to judge all of you. Whether you like it or not this country must be better again.
Don't be naive that that amount is what Buhari has garnered for his election so far. That amount is just to hide the correct looted amount already pumped into the campaign in order to paint Buhari as an honest man. We can never be deceived. With all the chartering of planes here and there, you tell me that is what is received? Haba, make una de tell the lie small small naa. Politics should be played with principle, please.

APC governors are looting their state treasury to finance Buhari campaign, states like Rivers, Lagos, Osun etc.

I always tell people that there is a great world of difference between the military Buhari and the political Buhari. Now tell me, how can one man who is assumed to be honest fight corruption when surrounded by looters who are sponsoring his campaign? My believe is that Buhari will be a ceremonial president, fully caged, hands tied and helpless to fight corruption if he becomes president.

This is the kind of comments that pisses me off and makes me reply even when I just want to observe. Granted the military has been neglected for many years. But gej has been in power for almost six years. Hasn't there been budget for the military for those years? I recall about 4 yrs ago when the defence budget was about 1/4th of the entire country. While I don't expect the nigerian army to rank among the best in the world, but to see our military (especially army and airforce) humiliated again and again by a group of terrorist with population less than 10,000 is just shameful to say the least. Granted the military has been neglected for years, but do you mind telling us what has been happening to the yearly budget for the military since 2010 when gej came to power?
If you don't know the level of rot in the system before GEJ took over, you can not appreciate the efforts of GEJ in re-equipping the military. For your information, equipping the military was stopped right from 1985, during the reign of IBB. The reason for the stoppage was to curb military coups. For those asking what has been happening to defence budget since GEJ came to power, I will also ask you that have they been no defence budget since 1985 to 2009, before GEJ took over?

The rot in the system was so much and only those with open mind will appreciate GEJ's effort at re-equipping the military. The Freedom Of Information law which came to being under GEJ administration has also exposed so much information to the public domain. These information were hitherto classified as secret to mere mortals like us. Don't forget also that some political opponents are not sincere while discussing issues because they want to pull GEJ down. I think GEJ is doing his best and only those with closed minds (for whatever reasons), who refuse to acknowledge the great rot in the society before GEJ took over will lay much blame on GEJ's administration. Please, lets appreciate GEJ efforts and give him the necessary support to succeed.

It is very simple...If Jonathan has allowed the north to complete their term..by 2015..the presidency would have come back to the south and specifically the south east... Now he is coming back to finally destroy the country 's economy..God forbid..he wins..the Igbo presidency project is set back another 12 years..Nigerians should be wise and vote GMB to at least ensure that it comes to 8years
Hold it! Your igbo brothers were fooled to accept the North - South rotational presidency by the more politically savvy North. Why did the Igbos allow the tripod system to be destroyed? Why should Igbo allow itself to be lumped with the Yorubas? Please, free Jonathan. Igbos failed politically. Igbos fall my hand big time.

Definately, Buhari cannot be the messiah. Buhari is no longer a military man hence the military bravado of his lieutenants that gave him fame is gone. Right now, Buhari has been caged by the corrupt cabal in APC, donating the masses money for Buhari's campaign. Has Buhari the moral right to fight corruption any more? Not at all.

Until people are able to know the difference between a military Buhari and a political Buhari, they will remain deceived.

If you are doubting if Buhari really has his certificates or really went to school, then you might just be right(in accordance with what APC wants), because this might just be a good enough distraction (for APC) from all other subject matter that might be dug from their opponents (obviously PDP). You are a fool if you believe buhari has no certificates, he will only come out at the dying minutes and tender his original certificates, this will boost his popularity, and (really) silence his opponents and reveal their desperation. Its a nice played out game, but it amuses me as peops come on here and be like 'buhari is an illiterate', 'he has no certificates', etc... They are not only wrong, but stewpid. Buhari was a major general in the nigerian army (what don't you guys understand? Am I missing something?). If he does not have certificates then how did he become a major general? Are we questioning the admin operations of the nigerian army? Why are people so blind to see?. With all the happenings on this certificate issue I can authoritatively say that APC holds all the aces.
Hey, hold it. Where will he get the original from? Are you the one keeping the original certificate for him? Nonsense.

Buhari can only escape if the PDP legal team are not worth their salt.
