Politics › Re: Hillarious ! At an Ikeja Court, Owls Disrupt Court Proceedings, Cause Panic by jamace(m): 11:47am On Jan 30, 2009
Proceedings at a Senior Magistrate‘s Court in Ikeja were on Thursday disrupted when two owls flew into the courtroom causing a mild panic.

Lawyers, court officials and litigants scampered in various directions on sighting the owls, which gained access into the courtroom through the open louvre windows.

The incident resulted in the subsequent adjournment of the criminal matter preferred against one Peter Olufemi [21], standing trial for the theft of personal valuables and jewellery worth about N1m.
grin grin grin This is hilarious but very serious. These days, It's like Nigerians are returning to the god of their ancestors for solutions grin grin

The traditionalists among them quickly rendered certain incantations and pursued the owls until one of them was caught while the second one escaped.

They killed the bird and immediately set its body ablaze behind the courtroom and watched it burnt into ashes.

However, before the owl was killed, the court had adjourned the proceedings till February 4.

I hope you have seen the efficacy of incantations? So, do something grin grin.
Family › Re: Is It Bad To Reveal Your Salary Package To Your Spouse by jamace(m): 10:44am On Jan 30, 2009
Haba, how can you call yourselves husband and wife and you still hide your pay packages from one another? That is a very shaky marriage. I tell you, weevils will enter the seed of love and any moment , it shall be "to your tents oh Isreal". It is highly necessary to reveal pay packages to one another to forestall suspicion in the home, else, the home will become a house. What God has joined together, let not pay package put assunder. I reject divorce for myself and my fellow NL in Jesus name. Amen!

Sister, go and cry very well for your parents to give their consent. After all, the bobo is a federal worker and not a thief. If your parents are that rich and wish that you be like them, then they should allow you to marry him and then put your husband on their own payroll. There is nothing bad about that abi huh. That's what they want now angry.

Politics › Re: Breaking News: Why Is Everybody Using Breaking News In The Subject by jamace(m): 8:35pm On Jan 29, 2009
Don't worry, Nigerians have a way of copying sentences that are in vogue. Remember when General Sani Abacha was on the throne. The common word then was ", will be dealt with decisively, " grin. Presently, Pastor Chris Okotie (you know the one that when you are going to his church you must go along with a dictionary as well) has invented a reigning phrase ", paradigm shift, " grin. Any where you hear the big guys discussing issues, if you don't hear "paradim shift" in the sentences, then the speaker has said nothing or he is not up-to-date. So, forumites see the word "breaking news" or "broken news" as the latest acceptable grammar. You must add breaking news or broken news for your comments to have relevance henceforth. Eh em, BREAKING NEWS: NIGERIANS HAVE SWORN TO STOP CORRUPTION AT EVERY LEVEL. grin grin

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do People Bear False Witness Against Their Fellows? by jamace(m): 8:43am On Jan 29, 2009
Most people irrespective of religious affiliation see life as a jungle. They see it as the end justifies the means. They believe that a dog must eat a fellow dog if it must grow. Most people's conscience is tied to "pull him down" so that they can climb. Most of them that bear false witness will tell you that "heaven helps those who help themself" and that they are only helping themself. They don't believe in the golden rule of "do unto others as you would want them do unto you". They simply have murdered their conscience and believe that achieving their own goal is what matters in life.
