House, this thieving humanbeing turned |
Since Yar'adua came to power, his policy of refund of unspent budget money back to government coffers has been yielding positive results. I remember the ministry of health episode that led to the resignation of the minister and others. I also recall how the Almighty Iyabo Obasanjo sweated trying to riggle herself from bribe allegation. This afternoon, I heard from the Radio Nigeria 4PM news that the House of Reps returned about #2.1 billion unspent budget allocation for 2008 to the Government coffers. I am impressed that this is happening in Nigeria. It is a sign of good things to come. Since the House of Rep has made this refund, I know other beneficiaries would follow suite because the House can now investigate with clear conscience any organisation/parastatal that failed to refund unspent budget allocation. I just pray that the returned monies are properly utilised. Kudos to Yar'adua administration for this policy. I know we are not yet there but it is a step in the right direction. At least this will help toinculcate the habit of accountability in governance and reduce corruption to some level. House, what are your takes on this? |
it starts with one single step, I TOTALLY AGREE. but does the direction which the step is taken matter? please answer me this kweshun bikoThis step went to the positive direction because they have used it to arrest the robbers. I bet you, if those robbers were not detected and arrested, the Governor of Lagos State would have been accused of wasting money on another" blue elephant project" according to a NL. I think there is need to praise something positive no mattter how late it has come. Let's move on now and improve on this. Kudos to the Governor once more. |
Who shall deliver Naija from corruption? ![]() |
I think all IBB should do whenever this issue of june 12 comes up is to keep quiet or continue to tender apologies to all nigerians for that misdeed. Period. |

Please, what is the name and address of the person that bought the . |
Nigeria will come out better because new grounds/avenues for generating funds will be discovered. Those already discovered but not taken seriously will become the darling for survival. In fact, necesity will become the mother of invention. Naija no de carry last at all. We will survive better. May it dry up self so that we can realise our potentials . |
Do not despise little beginnings. Yes CCTV is not a new technology, but at least Naija has now recognised its role in crime detection. We will get there.God bless you my brother. They have forgotten that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. |
I hear say dem say police has sold our celebrity . |
Psalm 35. |
I disagree with police claim that the theory of a man turning into a goat is not open to scientific enquiry because there was no better opportunity to subject the matter to scientific enquiry than the police had when the goat was in its custody. By selling the goat, the police have denied humanity the opportunity of digging into Yoruba science, technology and mythology. The action of police in selling that goat is suspect. Why did they rush into selling the goat and why for as low as N300 naira, an amount that cannot buy a good chicken? It is suspected that a relation of the robber-turned-goat might have bought it! "Exactly my reasoning. I would like to know who bought this celebrity goat else I will say that thief has thief the thief . |

Please keep his sexuality. There is need for him to continue to sentence some daughters of Eve to 9 months imprisonment with hard labour . In fact, some daughters of Eve on this NL will not be happy with you if you "de-sexualise" him, I have not mentioned names o . |
Any step in Naija is a gain for one group and a loss for another. The complexities of a nation called Nigreria, you might say . |
My brother , he is not out of job. One thing I admire in him and most of the leaders in the european countries is that they carry the stress of their country on their head, while in Africa the leaders carry the gains of their countries. See how haggard he looks and the grey hair he is carrying because he took the responsibility of all Americans on his head. Check out African leaders. They develop bigger tommy and look fresher than they came in because they came to chop and drain their country's resources. The man has done his bit for his fatherland. Only posterity will judge him. |

This should be in politics. Got nothing to do with family. Moving it right away.Aunty, please forgive the poster. But Is Clifford Orji in prison? |
